Usual hilton quality in terms of room size, amenities, bed, furniture etc. Nothing to say bad. Breakfast was relatively standard. Other guests were relatively quiet and respectful. Thus, a good night sleep..

price. on booking.com it was more expensive to get a queen room than a superior king room as a member of hihonors club. which does not make much sense. I wanted to cancel and rebook but it was a bit late. Gym was very very small. And A/C was not on/working, which made it also a sauna at the same time..Some fixtures in the room did not work that well..drainage for instance. but minor overall.

Staff were all pleasant. room was cleaned to a good quality every day. the food was of a good quality. the welcome at the reception is very good, keep on the free cookies! the presentation of the lobby and restaurant is kept to a high standard.

The food takes quite a while to come out. unknown whether i'm paying service charge, I have had 4 meals in there, 2 have service charge, 2 don't, all were I was sat in the bar area. there are times towards the end of the week where a lot of items are missing from the kitchen, on Wednesday 10th it was easier for the staff to tell customers what they had rather than everything they didn't have.

Staff friendly and efficient throughout, on arrival lovely greeting though we arrived really late. Breakfast was great and the toaster on the perfect setting! Didn’t have to thread the toast through twice causing it to burn. No fat yogurts for breakfast also ticked the box! Bed comfy and bed linen lovely and crisp, nice fluffy towels.

The room was extremely comfortable and nicely refurbished (as was the whole of the hotel.) The room was spacious and there was a good selection of beers and wines in the bar lounge to kick start our holiday, even though we arrived at 9.30pm.

I would like to have communicated directly with the hotel re dinner timings and to inform them of a late check in but was directed to a US and had to wait for 20 mins to be connected.

Liked the proximity to the motorway, lovely green surrounding the hotel. Love that they're happy to have dogs. They also had some gluten free food upon request, which was ideal.

Our bathroom could have been better maintained. It appeared to be a wheelchair accessible one and the layout was therefore geared for that I.E lowered sink etc. However I felt that the general cleanliness of the bathroom could have been better. We let housekeeping know but we were checking out on that date so did not follow up

The bathroom was clean and the provision of bathing liquids made it convenient. The bed was comfortable and the conditioning system was working fine. The reception and dining areas were beautiful and good for taking pictures. In terms of breakfast, the food was well prepared and there was plenty of parking space too.

My room didn`t have a bar fridge, it was quite annoying when I realized that. Luckily it was still winter when I went, had it been summer I would have gone straight to the reception and requested a change. Now that summer is upon us. as a traveller just make sure your room has a functional bar fridge and the air conditioning system is working.

We were visiting family in Southampton and decided to stay at the Hilton. We were 2 adults, one teenager and a dog. The room was adequate, beds comfortable and pillows were amazing. The only issues we had were the aircon didn’t work and the room was on the chilly side. The extractor in the en-suite was very loud and could not be turned off. The room was quiet, located at the back of the hotel with kettle and the shower was lovely and powerful. The hotel had an area for the dog at the rear and the hotel staff were lovely and helpful. The breakfast was lovely but the hotel needed more staff as it was very busy. The staff did an amazing job but there were lack of plates, topping up food and fixing the tea / coffee machine whilst providing a breakfast service impacted the guest experience.

The cost of a dog was expensive at £50 per night.

This was a perfectly good hotel with some nice touches, good parking and the breakfast was good. Our room was good and comfortable. We were there for only one night and used relatively little of the facilities.

I don't know how to answer this question because I have no objective comments to make against the hotel but I did feel that the welcome at reception was not brilliant and somehow the hotel looked tired - although I have no examples to back this up so maybe it was just me. The location however is somewhat awkward as it is on an island surrounded by dual carriageways so walking out in the evening was not a good idea. It is some way from shops etc. although there is a pertrol station not too far, once you have navigated the roads.

Reception staff welcoming and very helpful. Dinner and bar staff great, breakfast not great in terms of quality and staffing.

I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the amazing staff at DoubleTree for making my daughter’s third birthday unforgettable. Jacob went out of his way to place balloons and a lovely card outside our door, while Zach made our dining experience magical, especially when the restaurant staff sang ‘Happy Birthday.’ Tom at the reception was also wonderful during check-in and check-out. The hotel was spotless and the service impeccable. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it!
