I had never stayed at a Route Inn property before, but I will definitely be staying in the future! The breakfast is simply best-in-class, and the public bath area is fabulous. The "single" bed was very comfortable, and larger than I expected. The location in Chitose is super convenient, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. I spent the duration of my return flight to Tokyo going through their directory to look for other Route Inn properties I want to stay at, and found at least a dozen!

Location is convenient, just 5 min walk to Chitose JR station, and there is a famous Toriyaki restaurant cross the street.

There is no water fountain machine in the public bath area which is quite unusual for hotels with public bath facility, room is a bit small but fair for the price.

I personally didn’t use the onsen but my mum said it was definitely a plus point and well kept. The breakfast was very good, not 5* quality but definitely better than a few other hotels I’ve been to. It was very busy at 6:30am - obviously since it’s an airport hotel. The rooms were small but comfortable. The service was absolutely excellent, out of all the hotels I stayed in on this trip I think this hotel impressed me with the service the most. Every staff member was courteous and helpful, despite the minimal interaction. Finally the best plus point of the hotel is the complimentary shuttle bus to the airport, which you must reserve in advance. Thankfully I had called ahead and our group were the only ones going on the bus so even though we were 10 minutes late, the bus waited for us and we highly appreciated that.

There are only two small gripes I would have is that the hotel. One is that the hotel is starting to show its age a bit - it is very well maintained however you cannot expect a brand-new flashy hotel here. The second was that in the single room, only a single pillow was provided as opposed to two pillows on each bed in my mum and brother’s twin room. Other than that I cannot fault the hotel.

Communication about the shuttle to the airport was inferior. Had to find it for myself. I would have thought when I booked a taxi for the next morning to take me there a mention of the excellent free shuttle service could have been brought up. Bed was extremely firm.

Great breakfast. Great onsen. Main reason for us to book this hotel was the available free shuttle service to New Chitose airport, and that was very good and on time. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. This was surprisingly happen to be the most satisfying hotel experience during our entire trip in Japan!

Close by to Chitose station a 5 minute walk. Clean room with nice pillow and blanket. Bathhouse was great. Great friendly staff which assisted in my queries

My card had to reset 4 times as it suddenly stopped working until the manager realised something was wrong and swapped cards for me.

Conveniently close to Chitose Station with connection to the airport, but the hotel also offered a free shuttle service (requires reservation). Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great as well.
