Room - Great view to the airport. Very well cleanned and settled up in a very cozy feeling with Japanese style furnishing. Great level experience! Onzen - As an onzen in the airport, it is good enough. Recommend for sure but you cant compare it with a natural onzen for sure. Food - I had the breakfast there and the quality is great. Great service as well. Will be better if the seats can be more seperated with others. The top roof bar has great enviornment and very delicious food in delicated plating. Something Special - Arrived very late for the night and we were starving. The top bar showed that it is closed but the agent helped us get the food outside the operation time. Thanks!

The location of the hotel was right next to the departure hall of the airport, so it was very convenient for us when we were leaving. The staff are exceptional too, even going as far as providing us with airport trolleys for our luggages for when we checkout which really helped with the weight of our luggages. The rooms provided were spacious and comfortable, and most importantly, incredibly clean. Amenities were also provided ranging from razors, shaving cream, bath salt, hair dryers to charging cables and free coffee/tea. The facilities like the onsen was amazing, it was spacious and had a comforting feel to it. Overall I would highly recommend The Portom Hotel as it provides everything travellers would want.

I travelled with my mother and after a nights stay at the hotel, she informed me that the mattress was a little firm for her liking, but I personally felt that it was alright. Maybe I was too tired to notice any differences in the mattresses, but this was just what I was told.

Stayed here as I thought it was the only hotel located on the airport premises, as had to catch a bus from domestic terminal to ski fields the following morning. It turns out there is a cheap hotel located at domestic terminal- but I'm so glad I found this one- located in International terminal - as once I got there it was pampering all the way! Service was to a high level with a dark/ seamless aesthetic . Every detail carefully considered and presented, with modern, large sized rooms, large, comfortable bed, new bathroom with quality fixtures. Onsen was fantastic and 24hrs. Breakfast was perfect- I only wish I had more time to enjoy it further. The cigar bar was stylish and convenient for a late night dinner and cocktails- next time I'll try a margarita, seeing as the staff adorned badges stating "tequila master". I usually go for budget or ryokan hotels when in Japan, but it's always nice to splurge on one expensive (to me) hotel after a long flight. Would stay again.

Nice and easy walk to the domestic terminal. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Facilities were fantastic had everything we needed and more. The bed was comfy and quite big for a twin room. The view over looking the airport was a nice touch.

The restaurant SHIMOGAMO-SARYO KITANOHANARE was very welcoming, we were seated in a room to ourselves, however the food wasn’t to our liking but it doesn’t take away from the authenticity of the restaurant.

This is a fabulous hotel to chill for a night before heading elsewhere. The rooms are extremely large compared to others we’ve stayed in in Japan. The rooms are so sound proof you do not hear the planes and the blackout blinds are exactly that - complete blackout. The onsen was lovely. We didn’t eat at the restaurant as the hotel is in very close proximity to the shopping centre at the Chitose airport (5 minutes walk - all within the same complex).

This is delightfully designed hotel, calming and quiet with what seemed like triple glazed windows looking out to the aircraft taking off without any sound at all. Everything is ergonomic and every switch and facility is where it should be. If only all hotel rooms were so thoughtfully set out. there is some beautiful architectural sculptures and Japanese style reflection ponds and a really nice zen feel to the place. Would definately recommend staying there if you need to break up your trip out of the ski fields.

Impeccable service from all staff, excellent buffet breakfast selection, outstanding set menu dinner in the restaurant, the calm atmosphere, subdued lighting, liminal spaces, beautiful onsen.

The restaurant was displaying a 'closed' sign despite the hotel being fully booked, upon our enquiry re dinner we were able to make a reservation at concierge and enjoyed a set menu dinner of outstanding quality, thank you.

One of the best hotels in Hokkaido, with a spacious room and modern facilities including in house onsen. Excellent staff.

Restaurant dining requires prebooking which was not suggested before we arrived. The hotel is difficult to find from the domestic terminal as it is at the very end of the international terminal and not well sign posted.

The facility and the room were both very modern and easy to use. The room we booked were a little pricy but it was worth the money. The beds were very comfortable, aircon was stable, and sound control was done very nicely. From the window, we could see the airplanes/fighter jets taking off and landing, which added to the excitements during the stay. We also enjoyed the hot spring bath. It was within the airport terminal building so shops were easily accessible without having to go out to the winter cold!

It is spotless, the kind of place that makes your jaw drop the moment you enter the lobby. The welcome drink at check in with your personal guide to show you to your room pointing out the amenities was top notch. The gym was fantastic (no dumbbells, treadmills, elliptical and weight machines). The onsen was incredible. I will stay here every time we fly into Sapporo late in the evening.
