It just needs a few little touches the make it 4.5 star to 5 star. You have the framework for an exceptional stay. It just needs warming up in places. Here’s my recommendations: The lights are too bright in the villa, it needs some dimmer switches The onsen lights need to point up not down, we moved them to make it less bright, it was better this way There is a curtain for privacy in the living room, but not one in the bathroom! The lounge needs just softening a little, dim the lights, have a few plants inside. Your butter for the bread should be slightly salted Crispy Onion on the salad isn’t my choice for morning breakfast, I’d change it for something lighter and fruitier. No USB ports in the room, we later found an adapter but could use more USBs

We had a fantastic stay at 7C Villa and Winery. The food was a highlight—especially the breakfast box, which was beautifully presented and delicious. The steak we had for dinner was among the best we've ever tasted, and the menu offered excellent value for money. Our room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and incredibly quiet, which made the atmosphere very calming and relaxing—we ended up staying in the room the whole day simply to enjoy it.

One area for improvement would be the room service. After two nights, it would have been appreciated. Since breakfast is served in the room, having a small dishwasher or an easy way to exchange used plates, cutlery, and glasses would be helpful. As there’s currently no way to clean them in the room, we had to bring everything to the restaurant daily and request replacements, which wasn’t very convenient.

Fabulous room. Open plan bedroom/ living area with cabinet with tea/ coffee/ wine glasses etc and large TV. Bathroom with double sink. Indoor/ outdoor area with sunken bath. Private garden. Style of room was great with lots of wood finished to a high standard. Pyjamas and slippers nice, and also another pyjama type outfit and a coat provided for sitting in lounge/ garden. Dyson hairdryer. Fantastic breakfast delivered to room. Good selection of wine. Helpful staff.

No milk or coffee creamer available for coffee. No clear system for getting the plates/ cutlery washed and replenished. I had to go to reception to ask for new.

The location is very peaceful and quiet, but only a short drive/cycling from main attractions. The room is very spacious and stylishly designed. Very comfortable to stay in. This is also the first time I stay in a hotel that takes in room coffee making seriously. The fresh coffee beans, the high quality hand grinder, electronic scale and pour over tools/filter allowed me to make a great coffee the same way I do at home. Staff are also very nice and helpful.

The room, when heated during cold weather, can get very dry. It would have been nice to have a humidifier in the room. Larger moisturizing cream in the room would also be great.

The rooms were elegant, spacious and relaxing. The private tub and patio has mirrored outdoor doors that we closed when the sun was too warm to enjoy the amazing breakfast on the deck. It is very thoughtfully designed and just extremely relaxing. We enjoyed the steak dinner on our first night and it was the best steak I’ve ever eaten. We borrowed the free bikes in our next day and toured around the lake. A great way to transition from Tokyo to the rest of our exploration of Japan. Also- don’t miss the grocery store at end of same property. We saw many properties with views of Fuji, but we felt we had made the best choice.

Great place, but here are some tips: They could have some heartier snacks (or an appetizer plate) that can be taken to the room (we wanted to enjoy some of their wine before going out to dinner on our 2nd night). Or recommend to guests to the nearby market. I thought the website said they had olives or a caprese salad but that didn’t appear to be true. The pate would have been good if it wasn’t frozen and appropriate bread/crackers available. When organizing your dinner in advance, do it through Booking. They are harder to communicate with directly.

The property is spectacular. The level of attention for the guest is unmatched. We were so well taken care of, the staff were amazing. We would especially like to thank the man at reception on 23th and 24th of March - sorry we didn't catch your name, but we would like to say our warmest thank yous! Our room was spacious, heated floors, great design, everything was well thought out and the natural materials made all the difference. The bathroom was amazing on its own but the outdoor bath was simply incredible - being able to relax with a bottle of the finest 7c wine in the hot water under the rain was magical. I also have to mention the incredible breakfast - the selection of locally grown products was so special, we enjoyed our mornings to the fullest! We can't recommend 7c winery and villa enough! We only wish we planned a longer stay so we could enjoy more time in this lovely place. I hope we get to return again in the future!

The property was luxurious, it was just perfect for a relaxing break. The staff were extremely attentive and any requests were met. The extra touches like loungewear and a coffee maker were great. It is worth also booking a meal in the restaurant the wine pairing courses were delicious. I’d say the sparkling wine is the nicest I’ve ever had!

It’s located in a bit of a remote area for tourists but actually I don’t see it as an issue if what you want is a relaxed time away from the world. There is an amazing market shop, cafe and restaurant next door and Mt.Fuji stands just out of sight but the tree lined Mountain view from the room is amazing. We walked a 5 mile walk around the north of the lake and it was beautiful with Mt Fuji in view. The town is very peaceful, a wonderful experience overall. Taxis are 5 mins to the station too.

this was my fifth time in japan and this is probably the best stay ive had. the property is newly built so it was immaculately clean (although no housekeeping, we were there for two nights). the staff is incredible, friendly and warm. the breakfast delivered to our room everyday was amazing. i recommend booking at least one dinner at the restaurant, the food and service were exceptional. the complimentary light meal was already good enough. they also have a store a couple of steps away from the hotel where they sell a lot of high quality souvenirs. the free winery tour and wine were a nice touch.

Stunning, lovely room great staff and good access for Mount Fuji.

Location was an 1 hour - 1 and a half hour taxi ride from Shinkansen station. 20.000 yen there and 40000 yen back. They should possibly have a shuttle bus service as I would definitely return if that was the case. Also restaurant food looked delicious how ever no vegetarian options. The staff worked really hard doing breakfast for our vegetarian but we would have eaten in the restaurant most nights if there had been more variety. Beautiful hotel room 10 out of 10.

7c Villas and Winery. Near Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji. Fabulous zen like modern place. Wood furnishings and even a heated floor for the cooler days and nights. Excellent heating system. Rain shower. Private deep ofuro - Japanese style bath tub in your own outdoor walled off courtyard with seating are looking out on your private garden. We stayed in a Mt room (Mt. 6) but I think all the mountainside rooms would be similar. Amenities include pajamas, lounge wear, Uniqlo warm insulated rain coats (when it’s cold), rubber clogs (like crocs) to wear outside. In room modern coffee grinder and kettle. Amazing and full breakfast brought to your room. This place has its own winery. Very peaceful and relaxing here even if Mt Fuji view areas are crowded with tour buses. We highly recommend.

Most of the instructions to operate the water heating and tub systems are in Japanese. Also no instructions on how to use a coffee grinder, but you can YouTube using the name of the grinder. Except for the breakfast staff and the manager, reception staff have limited English speaking skills.
