Super convenient location, just opposite JR station, near to tram and bus stop, also next to morning market, and even walkable from many sightseeing spots. Bed was comfortable and room size, although small, was quite ok for solo traveler.

I really hope they could provide public bath facility. Although they provided bathtub, the bathroom was so small and the design was not very thoughtful. There is no shower space except in the bathtub, so you need to finish the shower before preparing the bathtub for bathing, not convenient at all. Wi-Fi was terrible, it kept disconnected on and off all the time. Couldn’t believe the level of Wi-Fi quality for the hotel at this price point.

While the hotel may be a bit worn out, it definitely has its charm. It is conveniently located right outside the station, making it an ideal spot for exploring the lovely city of Hakodate. We stayed in a premier room, which is similar to the standard room but located on the upper floor with great views. Additionally, it was a twin room, offering a bit more space than a double, and the beds can easily be pushed together if needed. Guests in premier rooms have access to a complimentary buffet area with snacks and drinks. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they speak good English. There is a separate smoking room for e-cigarette users. Also, they have a coin laundry, which is quite convenient. Overall, the breakfast was enjoyable with both Western and traditional Japanese options.

It was very cold in the room during our stay in May - you cannot do much to raise the temperature, just hide under a blanket. The bathroom was tiny.

Good location. Just opposite JR Hakodate train and bus station. Eateries and market nearby Room recently refurbished and had good lighting.

Although there are notices that the buffet breakfast ends sharp at 10 am, I was shocked when the staff boarded up the food area sharp at 10 and proceeded to clear up all the tables even when we were still eating. It was not quite the hospitality I expected from a 4 star hotel. It ruined my stay there frankly. Although the front desk staff were helpful, the hotel had a strange policy that staff could not make reservations at eateries for guests. It was not possible for us to call the restaurants directly as we do not speak Japanese. It was a hassle for us especially when we there during Golden Week and the the eateries near the hotel were packed.

Location is very convenient, right next to the JR station and seafood morning market, lots of restaurant options. Breakfast buffet has a variety of food, in both western and Japanese styles. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Upon check-in they told us to park in the cheaper parking lot and gave us a coupon that covers 1-hour parking that we parked at originally (more expensive overnight). Later on our trip, we ran into an incident where we parked at the bay marina, the pay machine "ate" our credit card and didn't return it to us. We had trouble calling the number on the machine and didn't know enough Japanese to communicate the issue regardless, went back to the hotel and showed the staff what happened (thanks chatgpt), the staff called the parking lot number and they arranged someone to fix the machine in 10 minutes, after some time we were able to retrieve the credit card, we really appreciate the help from the front desk staff!

The location was amazing, across the road from JR station, have cheap car parking 200m down the road if hotel parking was full. Very cheap hotel breakfast buffet with wide selection of sashimi.

Room was a bit small for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids although we did book for a family room. However i guess that is the typical size for hotel rooms in JP. No coffee or tea facilities inside the room, u have to collect the tea bags or make the coffee in the lobby except its opens from 11am -7pm. We would have left the hotel before 11 and return after 7, hence was never able to use it

My husband and I booked a Premier Twin Room as an overnight stay between our train journey from Sapporo to Tokyo. Location of hotel is excellent, right in front of JR Hakodate Station. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, checking in and out was incredibly smooth and the staff helped with delivering our luggage to our room. The room was excellent, much bigger than we thought it was going to be, It was a novelty having that much space in a Japanese hotel room. There was a Nespresso machine with pods, a mini fridge and a bathroom stocked with disposable amenities, perfect for an overnight stay. Having booked a Premium style room, we had access to a lounge on the 13th floor with free non-alcoholic drinks, sweets and manga books. Perfect if you need to work on a laptop or just want to read. In the main lobby there was a machine offering unlimited free hot drinks - perfect after being out in the freezing cold - and a souvenir stamp, just like eki stamps you'd find at train stations. Overall the hotel exceeded our expectations. Fantastic hotel, will definitely be back to stay again.

The hotel is right across the road from the Hakodate railway station. If travelling by Shinkansen, it's a very convenient location, being a short local train trip into the Hakodate town centre. The hotel is very luxurious and well appointed, the lobby is impressive, and we had a large room set up as twin share. The views from the room were to the North overlooking the station and through to the distant mountains. The bathroom had a modern Japanese toilet, large bath with overhead shower, shampoo, conditioner and shower wash and hand wash we're provided. The room also had a small mini fridge, kettle, coffee pod machine and a few coffee pods. It also had a desk, generous space for luggage and clothes. A tv and hotel amenities guide. The bar on level 13 has an excellent view overlooking the south side of the hotel towards the scenic peninsula with cable car and bay and oven view. It also offers a small pizza range if you are missing pizza in your travels.

The shower wall attachment seemed to point the shower on a bit of an angle. Might just be a thing here, I'm not sure. Not a big deal given how impressive everything else was for the price.

Amazing location! Immediately visible from the JR Hakodate Station, just walk outside across the street. Lobby and entrance is so grand and welcoming. Staff all spoke English and were very efficient and helpful. Free WiFi in hotel, room was small but very cozy but best thing was the view! I could see the mountain with the cable car from my bed, as well as the ocean on both sides of the city and the mountains on the horizon. Room had TV, kettle, fridge, pajamas, outlets everywhere, a very good lamp with multiple settings! And free water as well as coffee. Bathroom had a shower and bath too. Very great for a 1 night stay, perfect for catching an early train right next door. Hotel even offers massage services! I was really looking forward to booking one but they were fully booked on the night I was there unfortunately!

Nothing.

The hotel was right across the street from the Hakodate train station and the airport bus. My single room was compact and I did feel a bit cramped. It was extremely clean and the WiFi did not work well in my room which was at the end of a long hall. The front desk gave me my own WiFi box so I had a good connection. I had a nice view too!

WiFi didn’t work in my room at the end of a long hall. But they did give me my own WiFi box to remedy that.

The location of Premier Hotel is perfect for us who ride the trains. PREMIER Hotel is very comfortable, friendly and really very hospitable. My family loved the breakfast buffet! I tell you, i profusely remind them of the day's schedule during breakfast. Otherwise, everyone would stay longer at the morninh dining

Hahaha, i slipped while walking to the station. The solidified snow was the culprit. But dont be worried, i made it to get up again like nothing happened. Maybe the Hotel do extra efforts in keeping the walkways around the property safer during snow season
