It’s located within minutes walk to many major attractions. The carpark is huge and there’s a Lawson opposite the road. It comes with 2 rooms with a huge shower area (with bathtub) and separate bathroom. It has all the basic necessities. Everything looks new and clean.

Improvements need to be made to the shower area. The clear glass is definitely a hazard. My youngest one (3 year old) got so excited about the bathtub and she ran straight twice towards the glass. Privacy is also lacking for the shower area. It only comes with two front blinds and any one walking pass the shower area can easily look inside. Tinted or laminated glass is highly recommended. The design of the shower area also has it’s flaws. The basin, bathtub and standing shower area all together in one room. The whole area will be very wet after every shower and it’s very uncomfortable to use after that.

Excellent stay at fav Hakodate! Location and property is modern and superb top notch. Lawson right opposite! Room was so comfortable, my kids and I had such a wonderful stay here. Even check-in process was swift and digitalised! Love the door is digital lock too, QR code slip was kinda redundant since we can take a photo of it and scan. Just hope they will keep changing the pin upon every checkout, else it wouldn't be safe.

Didn't like it where there is no one at the counter when we needed some help, we hear staff in the room but we called them no one responded, we had to go on video call to the customer support. This was during check-out and that was only thing I'd point out, other than this, everything 5-star!

We had a very comfortable stay at the Fav Hakodate. The rooms are fairly small (but not unusually small by Japanese standards) but very modern and nicely designed. Our room was spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable. The location of the hotel is excellent - just a two minute walk to the fish market, and less than ten minute walk from the station.

The reception staff felt a little strict with the check-in time. We arrived maybe half an hour early but were told, without even checking if the room was ready yet, that we could not check in until 3pm. It's a small complaint though, the staff were very nice and accommodating apart from that.

The most satisfying thing for my whole Hakodate trip. The room is exactly what posted on the website and even beyond. It’s so cozy and spacious, not only for the bedroom but also the bathroom! The view from the window is nice too. And there’s well equipped tableware. Not even mentioned the location, it’s super close to the JR station and many restaurants and cvs around. I mean it’s flawless! It’s my first time wanna stay in the hotel instead of wandering around in the city lol

My partner & I were really surprised and happy with the room we booked. Really spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was really nice and the atmosphere was very relaxing. For the money we paid, I would consider it a steal. I liked how quiet it was too, no one was noisy and rowdy plus the amenities were pretty convenient especially having a water dispenser downstairs.

Keycards would be better versus QR codes in my opinion. But nothing else worth noting on the matter of things we did not like.

Modern new interiors. Very spacious living and bathroom spaces for the studio rooms. Ideal for families with bunk beds and kitchen facility. 2 blocks from seafood market and 3 minute walk from tram station.

Early checkout 10am whereas most Japan hotels are 11am and noon checkout. Laundry machines (combined wash/dry units) did not dry clothes well and couldn’t figure out how to do extra dry only cycle. Fortunately clothes dried in time after hanging them for 24 hours.

As soon as we entered, we noticed a lovely fragrance in the lobby. Check-in was very easy and guided by friendly front desk staff. We absolutely loved this hotel. Very clean, great location, and quiet. We were happy with the washer-dryer, though the laundry room could get congested during busy times. Parking was hassle-free and at no charge. We could also walk to various sightseeing spots nearby. There are a few convenience stores and lots of places to eat very close by. We would stay here again for sure.

Our stay was wonderful at this hotel. We can't think of anything we didn't like.

The location is very good; 5 mins walk to Hakodate Morning Market. Japanese breakfast with 4 restaurant choices at Morning Market are all good. About 10 mins walk to JR Station. Lucky Pierrot (Burger etc) is less than 5 mins walk.

There are only two washing machines cum dryer. To thoroughly wash and dry the clothes well per “wash & dry”; you can’t place too much clothes. Each wash requires 6 x “100 Yen” coins. There was no coin exchange machine. Thus, ensure you had lots of “100 Yen” coins.

Unique and spacious 4 person bedroom, great view of the seafood market and was very comfortable to sleep in. Location was perfect for us to get to from the station and explore all the Hakodate attractions and was convenient for us to get to the station after we checked out for our next destination.

Was unsure of luggage storage as it was mentioned it wasn't available prior to our stay so we used a coin locker, however, staff was kind enough to advise they would accept our luggage if needed in our arrival. May need to message beforehand to see if this is available 🙂

This hotel was in a great location. We didn't realize how close it was to the morning market and the JR Station. The hotel itself is very modern and the room we had was a nice comfortable size. The young woman at the front desk was very helpful and the parking was convenient, located in an empty gravel lot right next to the hotel. We were concerned that the spaces might fill up by the time we returned to the hotel at night but this was never the case. There were also a lot of restaurant options available, even later at night in this part of Hakodate.
