The location of the hotel was great. Approximately 2 minutes or so from the back entrance there's a Lawson and the hotel is only a few minutes' walk from Hakodate station. There are also many restaurants in the local area. The hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room was a bit small, but cozy. I enjoyed my two nights here.

The lift gets very crowded in the morning around 9.30/10am so I had to wait. If I remember correctly there was only one lift. Luckily, I was on the third floor so I used the emergency exit when it was unlocked by the staff as another way of getting down quicker.

Stayed at the hotel for a night, the price was reasonable, but this was a booking in advance. The room and the bathroom was reasonably spacious, with the bathtub big enough to be used in the bathtub. The window can be opened for ventilation. There's lot of small nice things in the room, from books to even a hotel own magazine. The hotel chain also has collectable pins for different hotels, and this one has a rather cute one with a crab. The location of the hotel is decent, within a short walk from the station.

The breakfast is only until 9am, and as I found out when arriving at 9am, it's the time when the breakfast shuts down, not the "last order" time.

Being a solo traveler, this is the only hotel which I managed to book within my budget throughout my 3 weeks trip in Japan. It’s a very worthy stay with breakfast provided and relatively spacious room for one (compared with my friend’s stay in Tokyo). The hotel is very accessible - within 10 minutes walk from the JR station and the tram station. The room is clean and the staffs are very helpful as well in guiding me on the check-in and check-out procedures.

There are only 2 washing machines and dryers each (4.5kg capacity) at the lobby which I think it’s not sufficient to serve all the customers within the hotel. Needed to walk to a laundry shop 7 minutes away to wash my clothes as the person in front of me elected a 120 minutes dry at 9pm.

The​ room​ is​ nice, quite small​ but​ well-organized.​ The​ bed​ quality is​ good.​ Just​ a shame that​ it​ comes​ with​ only one​ pillow.​ They​ allowed us​ to​ use​ the​ air-condition​ so​ it​ has​ the​ air-flow​ and​ we​ love​ it. All staffs​ are​ friendly -​ always​ smile​ when​ talking with​ us​ and​ willing to​ help.​ It​ has​ the​ self​ check-in​ machine but​ if​ you​ come​ as​ a​ group, check​ing​ in​ at​ the​ counter is​ an​ option.​ The​ parking​ system​ is​ automaticcally.​ Very​ convenient.​ The​ break​fast​ is​ quite​ less​ variety but​ good.​ I​ really​​ enjoyed​ the​ clear​ soup -​ so​ delicious.​ The​ system​ is​ lovely​ -​ they​ will​ ask us​ in​ the​ night​ if​ we​ require the​ break​fast​ in​ the​ next​ morning.​ This​ is​ to​ reduce​ the​ food​ watse -​ good​ sustainable policy.​ The​ location​ is​ good. You​ can​ walk​ around to​ the​ Morning​Market, Ferry​ Port, Hachiman Zaka Slope, Red​ Brick​ and Orthodox Church.​

Just​ the​ variety​ of​ break​fast.​ The​ other​ is​ good​ as​ is.​😊​

Location is within walking distance from the train station and restaurants. Lawson is located just behind the hotel which makes life easier when craving for dessert. One of the staff at the counter who helped us book a taxi to the ferry terminal. I don't remember her name but something like Yamakawa - she is the best hotel staff ever. She showed us how professional it should be, until we stepped on the taxi leaving for the ferry terminal. Thank you very much again. Applause!!!

The hotel was clean and comfortable, with friendly staff and good breakfast that varied daily. The room was organized well enough to be able to open large luggage and the desk was big enough to use a laptop. The bed, pillow and chair were all good and comfortable.

Bathroom was very small and the shower was controlled from the same controls as the sink, which took a bit to get used to. I also had intermittent issues with the wifi connectivity.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel for 3 nights with family of 7, splitted in two rooms, although the each rooms were a bit small for us but it was very comfortable, we also noted a decent free Japanese style breakfast which we enjoyed it very much, we think it's good value for money. The hotel is located within walking distance from JR Hakodate railway station so it's very convenient for tourists like us. At night, you can access to many restaurants and choose different foods you like within walking distance from the hotel.

Convenient location and locality.

This is a great hotel only 500 meters from the train station, 1 block away from cafes and restaurant's. The rooms and hotel are super clean. The breakfast is delicious with a good food menu of Japanese food.

The bathroom has a step and it's not designed for disabled folks.

Courteous and helpful staff. Room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast had various items, all well prepared. Close to the train station, and plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood. One short block off a main road, so quiet environment. I’d stay here again - and at other Toyoko Inns.

Only one elevator, so occasionally a bit of a wait - but a minor annoyance at most.

Toyoko always deliveres. No surprises. Good ratio price/value, standard rooms, always clean and enough. Great location !!

Hakodate catering team, not as efficient as in Toyoko in Osaka, and the breakfast not as tasty. If you are late, meaning around 9, breakfast til 9:30, you will have a limited choice of food.
