Old school sense of service, staff friendly and helpful. Limited English but that's pretty normal for Japan. Hotel isn't new but everything works as it should and is well maintained and very clean. Also it's on a quiet street but not far from the station. There's a complimentary free coffee machine dispensing freshly ground coffee on the ground floor. Lifesaver! Be sure to book a non-smoking floor unless you are a smoker. Unfortunately Japan still has a lot of cigarette smokers and hotels accommodate smokers on specific floors.

Not sure how but cigarette smoke from another floor kept entering my room intermittently (- unfortunately I'm super sensitive to this). Staff immediately changed my room and all was OK.

Easy access and perfect for foreign tourists since checking in is very as well

Not much really. If you are taller you might have some issues with the shower, but that issue you will have pretty much anywhere in Japan

The hotel is close to the railway station and the seafood market. The staff here is super polite and nice. The room is well equipped, especially the bathroom is very large. Overall, the hotel is much more than two stars. Highly recommended!!!

Quite spacious and comfortable in the room

Shower room without shower curtain, so it gets wet on the floor everytime one takes the shower.

Very nice place, with good location ~10min from hakodate station. Stuff is very nice, conditions are great for a short stay.

Quiet and comfortable

Expensive for what it is, and far from the station.

Staff is helpful and friendly! Daily housekeeping is a default. Room is well stocked and clean.. they even provided some bath powder to create your own 'onsen' experience in the bathtub. About 15 min walk to the station and attractions like the morning market.

The bed was really creaky and sunken in. Not comfortable for sleeping.. also there is no aircon provided so we had to open the window slightly so it would be less stuffy. Note that there are steps at the property entrances and at ground floor before you reach the lift... For those carrying bulky luggage.
