The staff are so warm, welcoming and professional! The young gentlemen restocking the amenities area and assisting the front desk were kind, gentle and helpful. The breakfast was beautifully presented with care and tended to with pride. Anu was lovely; she and the other lady overseeing the breakfast buffet were wonderful and worked hard to keep the food well-stocked and fresh. 10 PM ramen was such fun! The room was spacious and the shower was hot with good pressure. The WiFi was fine - I saw some complaints in prior reviews but we had no issue whatsoever with WiFi strength. We will return to this hotel and highly recommend. Thank you for a nice stay!

You are paying for that breakfast. First, everything else is already ranging from expectedly standard and excellent. Clean, large spaces, indoor slippers, free coffee and soda drinks (limited time per day of course), and all the disposable amenities necessary. Helpful staffs with very warm attitude (yes, I know what I meant by that. They are both polite AND warm. I can't help but notice that). If you have luck, you may get a room with a nice view of the ocean (if the floors are high enough). Massive plus: The location is 2 blocks away from the tram lines to Hakodate station and 3 blocks away from Omori beach. Nice sunrise! 🌄 Big plus: There's a microwave right near the elevator on each floor. Extreme plus: My god, that breakfast buffet. For the price you paid, holy moly. Crab legs, mini cakes, the ungodly variety of toppings you can put on your rice. All the salad sauces. Grilled fishes, smoked salmon, raw salmon sashimi, squids. Matcha pudding, fruit cocktails, yogurt, actually tasty corn soup with fresh toppings. Bakeries, fresh grapes and various fruits. They also changed it a little each day. For the price you paid, just GET. THAT. BREAKFAST. I felt like 80% of my excursions in Hakodate was royally tinted by that breakfast. Major mood maker ✨🫅 Suprise plus: There's a free-flow of Hakodate salt based ramen at night!

very interesting hotel with manga/anime library and also there were bikes to rent although i was only there one night , not enough time to hire one

there were free noodles but not available till 10pm which i found strange, a bit late to eat, also it was quite some distance from a train station, i liked the trams though once i got the hang of them! the nearest tram stop seemed a bit of a walk , says 5 mins on google, im sure it took longer than that

I loved the breakfast, If you are a foreigner, you will find that it is very representative of the country. If you are new about the Japanese breakfast culture, I highly recommend going for the breakfast buffet.

I like the idea of the showerhead that is feed by the faucet (which I realized it is common in Japan), but I guess the mixing valve didn't work because it felt like I was burning and freezing at the same time.

I got a two person room and it was the biggest I have seen in Japan by far.

They have a bikes for rent but they do not rent them at night, that paired with Hakodate's small public transport system and the fact that the sun goes down quite early in Hokkaido results in a missed opportunity that will have you walking everywhere.

The location is good. The staff is professional. The hotel provides a wide range of utilities and amenities. The room is clean. The breakfast has a very good selection of items and is especially ideal for those who like fresh fish. That would be even better if the cooked food can be kept warmer.

Strategic location, good value for price, and they provide you with amenities and a public (manga) library near the receptionist. We got a room with coastline view.

The property is a little bit outdated, but if you like something retro, it’s a good hotel for you

The hotel has a great breakfast with a variety of seafood. The staff was very friendly, even allowing us to play ping pong on a table on the second floor. We rented a car and parking was plentiful and free.

It is far from the station, so people without a car may find it difficult to get to.

The hotel is a 10-min walk away from the central railway station and 5 min from the beach. We used the karaoke room and the bikes, we also enjoyed free ramen, which were nice features. The breakfast was really exceptional!

We were able to switch to a non-smoking room easily without extra charge. In the end, we got a very cosy room with an amazing view of the sea and Hakodate. There were also free noodles from 22 to 24 in the evening. Easy checkin process, close to convenience stores, and nice restaurants, and about 800m walk to main station. Good water pressure in the bathroom and the room was clean. I also like the manga corner and the free to use sleeping wear.
