Good location with a nice rooftop outdoor and indoor public bath. Also a nice lounge area can enjoy the harbour view and Mount Hakodate in the background. Free coffee and tea plus outdoor (pay) parking available. Short walk to most places and great staff services. Plus in room washing machine with built in dryer is perfect for us so that we can do some laundry (detergent provided) after over a week of traveling!

It is outdoor parking and snowed both days during our visit. Thus, need to shovel snow from car. Be prepared for the weather situations as it can change quickly.

+ The best thing about the room which is seldom found in other hotels is that it has its own laundry machine which is free for use. A huge plus for travelers who don't need to take time aside from their trip in order to dedicate some hours into washing their dirty clothes. + Nice and fast wifi, with a dedicated signal server on each of the floors. + From the 17th floor of the hotel, the view of Hakodate was wonderful and their lounging area was nicely modern and relaxing, with a nice bonus of having a free, hot beverage dispensing machine as well. + A pleasant outdoor spa atop of the hotel to wash away the day's weariness. + Location is within spitting distance of the Hakodate morning market and train station.

- During my 3-night stay, there was no bed making done by the cleaning crew, which I'm assuming this has to do with some sort of Covid guideline restrictions which the hotel is enforcing. Having said that though, not having a nice set of fresh sheets every night for this type of upscale hotel was kinda off-putting.

We had a corner room (33m sq!) on the 10th floor for 5 nights. Lots of space, a good little kitchenette, small table and excellent washing machine and drier unit, plus great beds and pillows. We enjoyed the views over the Seikan Train Ferry museum and the harbour, watching all the cruise ships coming and going. We used the roof top hot pools each day. We did our own breakfasts and a few other meals from the close by convenience store. The hotel is great spot for the fascinating fish markets and their many food outlets. It's a short walk to Motomachi area (do visit the old Souma house) and close to the Red brick warehouses. Trains, trams and buses at the JR station near by for visiting Goryokaku Fort and the Tower, Onuma quasi- National Park and other interesting destinations.

This was our second time staying at the Tokyu Stay hotel in Hakodate, and we love the location—right in the heart of the Asaichi Market action. With our kids still in preschool, it’s incredibly convenient to just step outside and be at one of Hakodate’s most popular attractions. The breakfast options are perfect for us since we’re big seafood lovers (well, except the kids—but we make do with rice, miso soup, and some grilled fish for them). We stayed for two nights and had two breakfast vouchers, so we tried different places each morning. It worked out great for us!

It's not that we didn't like anything in particular, but the hotel is on the smaller side and has that tall, narrow building vibe. We really loved the onsen on the top floor—it's very clean and tidy—but it is a bit smaller compared to those at other hotels. The outdoor onsen could’ve been better if they had gotten a bit more creative with the view. I totally understand why they needed to put up coverings for privacy, especially with other hotel windows nearby, but it does take away from the overall experience a little.

Great view from 17th floor lounge with the usual coffee and tea free self serve. Rooms were adequate with very useful laundry machine, microwave, mini bar fridge, hair dryer included. Staff were great with average english speaking but overly friendly and helpful. Check in is strictly 3pm. Very close to morning seafood market especially the famous sea urchin restraunt. Lawson and 7-11 around 2 to 4 minutes walk. Convenient to JR train station maybe 7 minutes but becareful in winter as it gets icy floors, cold and windy suggest get shoe crampons (attachable spikes for shoes).

Just remember to leave the "clean room" magnet out your room door before 11pm for clean towel and rubbish bin change.

Hotel is conveniently located near train station, morning market and harbour front tourist areas within short walking distance. Room we had was quite spacious, with harbour view, and common bath has one open and one indoor areas with views. Staff we encountered were courteous and helpful and rooms are well maintained, and free tea and coffee are available near reception for guests. Value was quite good for our stay. The hotel is quite well maintained and clean, breakfast was fine. The value comparing with other nearby hotels is pretty good.

As we drove to the hotel, we found it was a bit tricky to find the front entrance. The signage was not easy to spot and there’s no area to short park for unloading baggage before going to parking. The way to do it is to park your car to the parking lot next to the hotel (shared use with morning market users), get the ticket, take your bags to check in, and the staff will work out the parking payment and give you the instructions how to go in and out of the parking lot afterwards.

Price-quality ratio is the best I found in Japan so far. Location is really on the fish market which is great for breakfast and lunch, although the prices maybe a bit high the food quality is top notch (and I'm Portuguese, we are used to good products). Also at 5 min walk is the train station and several restaurants. The bar of the hotel was nice and the beverage prices are really affordable. Having washer/dryer in the room with supplies...comes really in handy.

Nothing to point out!

The location was incredible and the onsen was wonderful! The views from the top-floor onsens were worth the cost of the stay alone. I recommend others stay for at least two nights so they get to experience the city and harbour views! (The onsens are split by gender and rotate each day) Especially in light snow - there was something magic about being in the hot outdoor baths while snowflakes fell around me. The room was also very comfortable and the in room washer/dryer was incredibly convenient, and even supplied washing liquid. If I visit Hakodate again, I will look to come back to this excellent hotel.

I loved this hotel. My room was well-thought out and quiet, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. It was wonderful to have a microwave and washing machine right in the room. The hotel also has an onsen on the top floor. It's a short walk to the train station and next to the morning seafood market. I walked everywhere, but there are trams and buses nearby. There's no breakfast on site, which didn't bother me, but might be a consideration for some. I ate at the seafood market or in my room. I'd absolutely return to this hotel.

It is close to Hakodate station and situated just next to the seafood market. The room that I had was really small and it makes opening up our luggage a challenge with not much space to share. However, the rooms which my kids (3) shared, was really spacious and both rooms offers a wonderful view of the harbour. The Kanemori red brick warehouse is a short 10min walk away. The hotel also partnered with the various seafood stalls at the market and provided a slight discount for your kaisendon. You just need to purchase the voucher from the hotel receptionist. Another huge perk is there is a in-room washer/dryer provided.

My room was really small... but it all depends which room you were allocated.
