Amazing location next to the station, connected to a small mall and a convenience store, and close to restaurants in the station and around it. Theoretically walking distance to some touristic points but probably best to get a cab (often available right away at the station, or via apps) or to plan to use nearby tram. Good comfy room. Organized. Good freebies/amenities.

I think no one there speaks English, but they do have a piece of paper in English explaining all you need to know… people complaining that they had issues with staff must have been expecting the staff to just speak fluent English, which is just not something you should depend on in Hakodate or in Hokkaido more generally.

I am reviewing this as a neurodivergent person (with autism) who is sensitive to noise and heat in particular. I really enjoyed this hotel and it surprised me. Firstly, it is located in a really great place, just a short 2 minute walk or so from Hakodate station which has plenty of buses, trains and trams. The hotel is also fairly large, so you can navigate to it just by finding the hotel logo when you're near the area. Really useful for getting around. The staff were really welcoming on my trip, had good control of English and answered my questions quickly and resolved my issues. It was lovely to get their support. They held my bags for me one day as well without issue while I explored around town. The room itself was good as well. The rooms aren't noisy (although, note I did specifically request a corner room far from elevators), and there wasn't any leakage of noise between rooms I could hear. The temperature of the room could be controlled for heating or cooling, even in winter which is great for me. It does get cold normally but it's useful being able to control it myself. My room had a small view outside and it was nice to watch the snow and check out what to expect outside. The hotel itself is also connected to a Lawsons downstairs which is handy if it's too snowy and hard to get anywhere, as well as a few restaurants, onsen and gym. Handy. Internet was also good. Could easily stream anything I wanted. Was surprised how fast the speeds were. And the cost was quite reasonable as well. Cheaper than others but it was far more convenient than others as mentioned above.

The room was a bit small, but as a solo traveller worked well for me. Might be a bit tight with two people or if you're in a wheelchair/have accessibility issues. The bathroom was suitable but not very modern, but again, worked well enough for my needs.

Very large toilet and shower room compare to room space. As shower lover myself I enjoy it a lot. Onsen is very good decoration. Hotel is large. I enjoyed breakfast here a lot. Although you may feel uncomfortable if you don't like okra. They provide 2 pillows, Great location from train station and convenient store is just downstairs. You can use Gold Gym at discounted price if you are gym people travelling here.

If I can just open a window a little could be better. Clothes hangers a so few compare to the space. Onsen sometimes can be too crowded as they shared facilities with gym.

The service from the staff was truly impressive. We initially booked a standard double room, but upon check-in, we were assigned a room at the end of the corridor where the Wi-Fi signal was inaccessible. After informing the staff, they promptly arranged a new room for us. To our surprise, we were upgraded to a very spacious twin room near the elevator. The room was so large that we could easily open 10 big suitcases at the same time. Two thumbs up for the staff—this level of service was truly appreciated! On top of that, the location is superb, right next to Hakodate Station, and conveniently close to the bus terminal and one of the streetcar stations. This was our second stay at this hotel, and we’ll definitely return the next time we visit Hakodate.

Perfect location right off the Hakodate train station. Easily reachable when connecting from Shin-Hakodate and Shinkansen line. Very friendly staff. Lots of variety and choices at breakfast. Washer-dryer on multiple floors which lets you select your code and ensure no one else open the washer before it finishes. Onsen with hot and cold baths available. Reasonable prices during winter.

Only negative point is I received (after booking) scam emails on the Booking app from this property indicating I had to re-enter my credit card details for validation, which was obviously fake and scam. I did not receive anything else and since I didn't click, all was good, but it did made me wonder I everything would be safe.

Superb location especially if you are travelling by train to this property. The bus station and the tram station is super close as well. So all in all, it's super accessible. Rooms are roomy and spacious and the onsen is big and can cater many people. Look out for the free popsicle once you are done with the onsen.... a very simple and thoughtful gesture from the property.

I thought the hotel breakfast could been a little more exciting as in changes in menu and variety of foods served. Was there for 4 brekkie and it is the same daily. Not to say that it's not delicious but some variety daily will be fun.

It is a brand new hotel, close to the central bus and train station, very convenient. On the 1st floor there is a small shopping mall, a gym and a Lawson store. The Japanese breakfast is good, lots of choice, especially the milk 山川牛乳. Soundproofing is excellent.

I stayed there for 2 nights, there is no room service, only the laundered towels, blankets, sheets and other guest linen. Not much choice of bread. I hope the hotel provides 2 bottles of bottled water daily. Bed is wobbly.

The team exceeded my expectations to always provided us right amounts of bath towels, pyjamas, toiletteries for my family needs , timely. I never had to call for missing/under provisioned items. Excellent housekeeping team , thank you. One out of my 4 my luggages was mistakenly sent to a different hotel, The hotel mgmt has graciously made arrangements to send it bck to my residence in Singapore without much issue. Thank you. The daily breakfast is excellent, my family enjoyed the family bonding time each morning looking forward to t awesome spread :) I will recommend friends & family to La'gent Stay Hakodate Ekimae. Its location beside the Hakodate JR Station & bus terminal is excellent.

Amazing Facilities. Building was right next to Hakodate Station, 8 mins away from the ropeway to Mt Hakodate. Breakfast was a tad bit expensive but honestly it was worth it for the quality of the food. The onsen was clean, well maintained and as a foreigner it was a unique experience. I would 100% stay here again for more than a few nights. Lots to do by the hotel, including a gym, a lot of bars(3-4 in the building), food, and a souvenir gift shop.

Very close proximity to train station, excellent breakfast buffet both western and Japanese choices. Rooms were spacious as we requested two twin beds. Staff was very accommodating, after we checked out early 7:00 to try to catch a train to Sapporo we discovered that all trains were sold out until 3:00 therefore we went back to the hotel and asked if we could check back into our room and stay until 11:00 and they honoured our request. We really appreciated their hospitality.
