Amazing hotel, the best in our 3-week trip. The food was western but also Japanese-style, open bar at dinner included everything from local beers to sake and whisky. The breakfast and dinner include dozens of options and really good food. The rooms were pretty big. The onsen was the best onsen we have been to, with 7 different baths. The outfits for the hotel were nice. It's a two-minute walk to the Togendai station for the pirate ship and rope line (Gondolas). The hotel offers free shuttles from Odawara.

Nothing! Very nice hotel. If you are looking to hang out at night, it's pretty isolated, but all Hakone area is like that.

This hotel is a real experience, to enjoy the onsen holidays quite common in Japan. You can get the free hotel shuttle from Odawara, making it very easy to access it. The view from the entrance lounge is magnificent, with the foot bath facing the lake :) We didn't have a room with lake view, we went for the private bathtub on the balcony. In retrospect, I would probably go for the lake view as we ended up booking a private onsen session every day for a small fee. But of course, if you want to enjoy the hot water several times a day, a private bath on your balcony might be worth it. The private onsen is lovely, I highly recommend it. Breakfast and dinner were delicious with lots of options, most of them typical Japanese food. The hotel provided yukatas, slippers, socks, pyjamas, anything you need! The best thing about this hotel is its location: you can walk to the cable car and the pirate boat pier. We started with the cable car, came back down and then crossed with the boat. It was super easy and meant we didn't have to worry about buses to get around. I would definitely stay again, but with different expectations: this is not a place for lots of sightseeing in my opinion, it's a place to take it slow, sleep late, enjoy the hotel facilities, have a little stroll via the boat and the cable car, and enjoy the view of Mount Fuji if you're lucky.

The hotel is huge, with lots of other guests and long corridors to walk! It can feel very crowded at breakfast and dinner. It's definitely not an intimate experience but it's still a high quality one.

Lovely location, stunning views and onsen. Very relaxing and well-arranged hotel.

Dinner & breakfast buffets with exactly same food every day, so do not recommend more than 2 night stay. No vegan/ vegetarian or other diet options.

The onsen was amazing! We also had the private onsen on our balcony which was really nice for nighttime. Though it was small we still really enjoyed using it. Loved the buffet breakfast and dinner! It did not change day to day but that didn't bother us as we were only staying for 2 nights, as I assume most people are. Overall excellent value and would recommend this hotel to friends.

It was a little far from the train station and I wish I knew about the shuttle service earlier. It also would have been nice to understand the booking system for massages earlier, I would have booked one if I knew but it was all booked up.

The Buffet Dinner is awesome, with the exception that the allergies are not listed. If you have any food allergies, this is not an ideal place for you. The Manager was very nice and helped me navigate the display to find dishes I could eat and even asked the Chef to make a bowl of soup for me and that was a very special touch. The Onsen on site is a wonderful option. We ended up paying a little extra for an accessible room because that was the only option to have the Lake View. I tried to find the information on line when I booked, because I really wanted a Lake View, but it was not available, or I just missed it.

There is no view of Mount Fuji from where the Hotel is located, which I missed to check, but my fault entirely. But … it is very conveniently located just a short walk away from the Boat Ride and the Rope.

Exceptional dinner and breakfast. Others say they repeat the food, but I only stayed one night - I wish I could've stayed a second for the exact same food! The room here was the largest I had on my whole trip. It felt very spacious compared to rooms in Tokyo and Kyoto. Private outdoor onsen was so worth the extra cost for my husband and me. The area was well kept and clean. My favorite private bath of the whole trip. The vibes were just great. Everyone there seemed to be so relaxed and making the most out of their time here. The provided yukatas and PJs that everyone wore around, even to meals, made this place feel both cozy and luxurious at the same time.

It was a little confusing getting to my room the first time (and maybe the second and third). Pay attention when they give you instructions about floors and elevators!

We booked Deluxe room with tatami area and open air bath on lake side. Room is clean and has enough space for family. Hotel staff help to arrange futon in room during our dinner time. In room open air bath is really good. We also book private onsen 40 mins with additional 3,000 yen. It's clean and well equipped plus bonus for Dyson hair dyrer in private onsen. Location is convenience. Just 3 mins walk from Togendai port. Easy to travel to other area in Hakone & Gotemba outlet (direct highway bus from Togendai port around 40 mins).

Only 1 restaurant always crowed. We need to book dinner / breakfast time in advance. Otherwise you may not got the table at your required time. Food are good both dinner & breakfast. They also have sashimi served at dinner.

Very good buffet breakfast and dinner. Excellent location only 2 minutes walk from Pirate Ship and Hakone Ropeway. Private outdoor natural hot spring tub. Free massage chairs. Outdoor foot bath. Beautiful Yakuta and Samue provided and encouraged to wear around the property. Staff very helpful. Free shuttle bus to and from Odawara.

No self-serve laundry. Not enough space to hang/store our clothes. Towels very thin and had to ask for extras every day. TV only in Japanese - unable to cast from our phones. A bit convoluted to get to/from our room to reception and the restaurant. Not close to shops or other restaurants.

The view was amazing. The onsens were so realizing. And the location is fantastic-an easy 5 minute walk to the pirate ship and ropeway. The excellent location allowed us to jump on the 1st pirate cruise of the day, arriving to the peace torri gate before all the day trippers got there. Breakfast & dinner buffet was great...we didn't have to worry about finding places to eat. Traditional Japanese food plus some American food, lots of choices. Two different types of yukatas were provided along with shoes. You don't have to wear it but most guests do and it just added to to the great experience. Free shuttle from the train station both ways! Massage chairs. Foot baths. Complimentary Beverages. Great service. What else could you want? I wouldn't stay anywhere else!! This is it!!

Nothing. We loved everything!

The view form lobby and restaurant is one of the best in Hakone I believe. Room is clean and comfort. Hotel provided you with multiple design of Yukata. Outdoor foot bath with a cup of coffee is great!! Very delicious meal both dinner and breakfast. Location is exceptionally good for travel Hakone. You can walk to Ropeway and pirates ship ports from here.

I stay here during the peak traveling period, so your travel experience might be different. The staffs are little shortage, so we need to carry our luggage ourselves. The breakfast and dinner queue is very long, and crowded inside. It take time to pick what you want to eat. Almost every guests must walk pass the 2nd floor's corridors to reach the room, which make the guest room in this area can be very noisy. If you prefer quietness, I suggest booking the high floor. The nice lake view from my room was block by trees.
