We had a lovely stay in BATONWORKS and highly recommend it, just like all the other glowing reviews. The service was exceptional. The staff went out of their way to pick us up and drop us off at the ferry port, which was especially appreciated given the accommodation's distance from the port. Aoi also provided us with a comprehensive guide map of the island, took time to explain the cycling routes, parking areas, and shuttle bus schedules, and even offered dining recommendations. She helped make reservations for us, allowing us to spend more time enjoying the island. The attention to detail was also outstanding. We were welcomed with complimentary local snacks, beer, and convenient ready-to-eat meals. The free electric bike rentals made exploring the island so effortless and stress-free. Entertainment was also taken care of, with streaming services already set up and ready to use. Everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay on Naoshima had been thoughtfully provided. Room was very clean, peaceful, and relaxing. The little collection of food that's included was very handy on the night we were too tired to go out for dinner. The bus stop is a short walk away, which is useful for exploring the island. The conbini is a little bit farther away, but still close enough to be convenient. We really appreciated being able to do laundry. Also, our host picked us up at the ferry and drove us back to the ferry on the morning we left, and that was so nice.

I had no complaints. I don't know if I will ever be back to Naoshima, but if I am, I would be happy to stay here again.

This little apartment was perfect for us. The kind staff picked us up from the port and also dropped us off. We loved the free e-bike rental and laundry access. The whole experience felt incredibly personal and the rooms are a good size with a mini kitchen and private bathroom. The only slight downside was that the beds were not the most comfortable and the walls are quite thin so you could hear the next room a bit. But overall, this is a fantastic place to stay when exploring Naoshima and we would not hesitate to book it again.

Batonworks is a special place, a beautifully designed and curated little gem that we are so glad we found. We enjoyed 3 nights there on the wonderful island of Naoshima and would have loved to stay longer. Everything about this property has been done with care and consideration and the owner and staff (Aoi) could not have been more considerate, attentive and responsive to our needs. The location is perfect for an easy walk in to Miyanoura port, to the nearby bus stop, or to get some supplies at the 7 Eleven. We appreciated getting picked up on our arrival by Aoi and dropped off at the ferry when we left. Also, we found the washing/drying machine came in handy at that stage of our trip. All in all, it was a great time and we look forward to staying at Batonworks again when we come back to Naoshims. Thank you!

In our mountain view room, we wish we had reading lights at the head of the bed.

New property with everything a traveler may need. The staff helped with pick up and drop off from the ferry station. She helped me understand the best way to get around town, have me a map and prepared me for my time on the island. There were free e-bikes, umbrellas, flashlights, even a small kitchenette inside my room. The beds were super comfortable compared to other Japanese accommodations that typically have harder beds. The stay is a short walk to the Bath House and some good restaurants. I felt safe and enjoyed my experience.

Very clean and very spacious room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Very quiet location. Free pick up from the ferry terminal by a very welcoming host. Free ebike provided throughout the stay, which means it does not have to be returned to a rental venue before a certain time. A 10 to 12 min walk away from the centre of Miyanoura which has a very good selection of restaurants (The host does make very good recommendations) The whole experience was flawless.

A lovely lady picked us up from the ferry and drove us back at our convenience. Location is close to the ferry. This is the best place I have stayed in Japan in my seven weeks trip. They thought of everything nothing was missing, from the flat iron, pjs, snacks , e-bikes, beer, water, laundry, amenities, comfy beds, super clean, Netflix already programmed on the tv. A little piece of heaven ❤️ Excellent restaurant recommendation and she even called to reserve for us. Communication was easy and fast.

Aio, Batonworks' representative, was above exceptional in going the extra mile professionally and personally. Nothing was too much trouble and messages were responded to promptly and effectively. My wife had a fall and fractured her arm. We could not have received better assistance and advice on managing the situation and receiving excellent diagnosis and treatment at the local medical centre than we had from Aio, who is on the ground locally. Batonworks' convenient location to a town bus stop and the Port of Miyanmoura, the short walk to the only 7-11 on the whole island plus the free use of electric bikes plus access to some TV streaming channels all contributes to further superlatives when recommending Batonworks on Naoshima.

Absolutely nothing. The facilities, the standard of accommodation and cutout are very good. If thrre was one thing we would have liked it would have been bed lights and a second bed side table.

Batonworks is a cozy and stylish boutique guesthouse in Naoshima Island, close to the port, easy access by bus but the management will assist you with transfer by car if required. It offers only 3 suites, fully equipped with in-suite bathroom, little kitchen, sofa, cabinet, double twin beds or king. Clean and well furnished. Air-con and wi-fi are working very well. Full of amenities and some complimentary snacks on the fridge (no fees will charge). Bicycles are also available for guests only. The kindness and the sweetness of the young lady who's managing the property is a little cherry on top of the cake. Very lovely top services, amazing value for money: we definitely suggest Batonworks as top accommodation in Naoshima!!

Clean and comfortable accommodation in central Naoshima. The English-speaking host picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry and also recommended and booked us some great restaurants for dinner. It’s very close to the 7-11 where we picked up some stuff for easy breakfast. The e-bikes were super fun. Highly recommend this place if you come to Naoshima.

Just be aware that the ‘Mountain’ View room has a big window that people walk right past to get their bikes. It wasn’t an issue for us as there are only three rooms, but fyi.
