A bit of a strange spot, but on the Port Liner line, so easy to get into downtown Kobe. I would recommend this if you are arriving Kobe airport (or Osaka and take ferry from Kansai to Kobe very easily) later in the day, and looking for a place to acclimatize before carrying on a longer journey. I had selected it based on its proximity to the Shodoshima ferry, but my bad luck meant I had booked it when that ferry wasn't running (annual repairs?). Nice view of the skyline. Nice breakfast, but limited selection if you don't eat meat. Convenience store next door.

Getting from the metro stop to the hotel was a bit weird.... a few dark streets. Japan is safe, but it was not the nicest place to walk in the dark.

The hotel has a great bath facility with a sauna, a hot tub and a cold tub. The sauna is very hot as is the hot tub. Breakfast is pretty decent and they can make an espresso on request. Breakfast is served on the 9th floor and there are great views over Kōbe harbour. The room is very comfortable although it might be considered as a bit too cosy for some couples. All the facilities I might need were present and of a high standard. The hotel is about 500m walking distance from a Portliner stop which can be used to go into the city or to Kōbe airport and/or The Bay Shuttle to Kansai airport (KIX).

As others have mentioned, there's nothing much in the vicinity of the hotel. Family Mart is next door and there are a couple of restaurants on the island which could be walked to. However, I found the Portliner so convenient and frequent (5 minutes the longest wait) that I just had dinner in the very lively city centre where there are tons of restaurants, bars etc

The cost-benefit ratio was what attracted me the most. The place is very fragrant, very clean, and the service is good. However, it would be important to improve the signage at the building’s entrance, as we had difficulty understanding that the reception is on the 9th floor. Additionally, we found the access to the apartment to be very insecure, as anyone can enter.

I believe it is necessary to include information on Booking about the parking, the distance to the train station, and better clarify that the reception is on the 9th floor.

The view was great. The window opened to allow for the sea breeze and the curtains could fully open. It was close to the Port Liner train stop and 2 stops from the heart of the city. There was a gym on site, if so desired. A family mart next door. The rooftop was great to sit at the tables into the evening and watch the sun go down, the planes fly in and out, and the sea port activities. The staff were so polite and spoke a little English. The laundry was easy to use with free laundry liquid. Coat hangers in the room to hang damp clothes. A comfy bed. Quiet soundproof rooms - Other than the bathrooms. All amenities avail, so there is no need to pack bathroom stuff A decent size bath. You could adjust the lighting to suit your needs

The lack of food choices at the onsite restaurant as a vegetarian and flour free eater, though this is Japan in general. The port work started at 4.30 am, so if you are not an early riser, if on the view side, be prepared for trucks and clanging in the very early mornings. The road style lights of the driving school, on the view side, were on into the night if you don't want to close your curtains or want a dark room. The drier takes forever, 60 mins is not enough for a very small load and doesn't appear to run hot...

The views of the Kobe Harbour were stunning. Our room was always cleaned so well. The staff at the front desk was happy, polite and informative. They suggested restaurants and stores to us when we asked and they were a hit!!! We loved ending our day on the roof top with a cold beverage and a chicken snack from the Family Mart located right next door to the hotel!

We didn't use the fitness facilities because it was a 1000¥ per day surcharge. I think the use of that facility should have been included in the price.

Here's the English translation: This accommodation has a very affordable parking lot nearby (not provided by the hotel). It's only a 10-minute walk to the port line. There's a convenience store on the ground floor, and on the second floor, there are hot spring baths and a sauna. The rooftop has an excellent public space where you can enjoy a view of Kobe. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very polite and friendly during check-in. Overall, it was a great experience at this hotel.

not for my experience.

Nice room with views. Convenient for attending Convention Centre conference and for travel to there and to city via Portliner. After my conference finished my family who live in Japan came as well for one night. The dinner was excellent and included selections suitable for children aged 6 and 8.

I am from Australia. No access to CNN, BBC etc on TV for overseas visitors. Somewhat limited selection for breakfast and quite expensive for what was available. Not suitable for a family with children.

Great breakfast.& Dinner experience. A good location once you sorted out transport to and from...The hotel really needs to give good directions from the JR station-the change of trains & how to get to hotel from the local train stop..as initially its all very complicated. The staff in the restaurant were superb, & the food was good! We met some locals in a lunchtime restaurant who told us about the famous castle in a town 20 mins away by train...this was worth the experience. Amazing!

Our most expensive daily hotel rate over our 2 week Japan experience! (Like 2-3 times dearer!) Yes we didn't mind paying for it on special occasion, if the hotel provided that extra quality and service. (New Year celebration- but Kobe had no fireworks or major celebrations that we were made aware of.) View from roof top was good but very basic!

The restaurant had a beautiful view of the harbour! The food was absolutely delicious. The best was so comfortable. The most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever had it was amazing!

The fitness centre usage wasn’t included in the price! We were so excited to use it and then we’re told it was an extra 1000Yen per use! Absolutely ridiculous! It was also a little out of the way! There wasn’t much around but it was an easy walk to the train station to go into Kobe.

Close to the airport. Has a convenient store next to it.Easy to find. Had a restaurant but didn’t try.

The bridge going toward the property doesn’t have an elevator at both ends, so be careful with luggage. They don’t have black out curtains . The driving school lights are bright. Industrial area very loud in the morning. Air pressure made the window whistle all the time.
