The hostel is in a great location, a quiet street close to the lake and the bus stop for the red line bus from and to the train station is less than 5 minute walk away. You can rent a bike for 2,000Y a day which we thought was quite a lot, maybe there should be an hourly service as well for people who want to do a short cycle around the lake. The rooms and bathroom were clean and comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. There were no lockers so you got to trust no one steals your stuff. Most restaurants in the area close early so we had dinner at the hostel and it was nice.

My 4 yr old enjoyed the space we had. It was very clean and cozy. In the morning, it’s very close to Oishi park, my husband and I had the chance to catch the serene morning with Mt Fuji view

Small improvement tips- may need a proper food tray easier to carry breakfast to room if need to eat inside room.

IT WILL TAKE AT LEAST 40 MINUTES TO THE LAST STATION P20, SHARING MEN AND WOMEN TOILET JUST FINE FOR ME, DRYER MACHINE NOT WORKING SO WELL, YOU NEED TO TAKE 2 TIMES TO DRY YOUR CLOTHES. HAVE A SMALL SUPERMARKET NEAREST THE HOSTEL, BUT NO RESTAURANT. I EAT CUP MEE FOR MY BEREAKFAST AND DINNER.

Great location near a red line bus stop to be able to get round the lake and to the station, they offer bike rental too. The common area and games room is great! Comfortable and chill sociable vibe there. Kitchen facilities are good, bathrooms always really clean and beds are super comfy too.

Limited choice of restaurants (but they do serve reasonably priced food at the hostel!) and grocery stores nearby but if you plan well and go to a supermarket near the station, they have a great kitchen. Room was small to be able to keep your stuff out easily

The hostel is the other side of the lake. It's a great spot to see Mount Fuji in all its glory. When it's the evening, there are no tourists, so you literally feel like you're away from the hustle and bustle. The hostel is warm and cosy and the facilities are very clean. The pods are ok for a night or 2. You do get a pull down desk and a light, which was an added bonus. They also provide towels and bedding. And, for 100/200Y you can do your washing and drying. Oh and, they have shampoo/ Conditioner/ body wash! AND, downstairs is a games room with Mario Kart ;)

Nothing bad but might be helpful - the hostel does food till 9pm. It's nothing big so take some snacks from 7 Eleven at the next village along (stop 15). They have cooking facilities and a fridge. The Hostel is stop 20! Also, you need to order breakfast with them 3 days in advance if you didn't book it to be included. Lights go out at 10pm - this isn't a bad thing. It's in a quiet neighbourhood and adds to the cuteness of the place. There is a game rooms downstairs with 2 sofas that you can chill in.
