The staff was superb, they tried to assist the guests in whatever way they could. The rooms were spacious and kept very tidy by the cleaning staff. The hotel itself is a bit outdated but it was well-kept. A shuttle to the bus/train station was provided for the guests. You may also call the hotel if you wish to be picked up from the same station. The bus station and a beautiful park are just in front of the hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast that they served. Lake Kawaguchi is just across the building and they have a deck that provides a great view of Mt. Fuji, perfect for taking photos.
The hotel is quite far from most cafes and restaurants (about a 10 to 15-minute walk), a taxi or a bus ride is needed if you stay during winter.

We stayed at Lakeland Hotel Mizunosato for two nights in late January and had a wonderful experience. The views of the lake were absolutely stunning, and the location was perfect—close to town yet peacefully removed from the hustle and bustle. The hotel was very clean, and the rooms were spacious, though there wasn’t much space to store suitcases off the tatami mats. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The onsen was fantastic, with multiple pools at different temperatures to choose from. The food was excellent, with a beautiful outlook over the lake, and the shuttle bus to and from the station was a great convenience. Highly recommended!
The only downside was that the futon beds were quite thin, making them less comfortable than we had hoped.

Lovely Japanese style room, private open bath was fantastic with a beautiful view of Mt Fuji. Lovely roof top terrace with a great view of Fuji. Room had traditional tea ceremony set, fridge and toiletries that you need. We went half board and the Kaiseki dinner and breakfast were both fantastic experiences, an enormous amount of traditional food at each served by the sweetest lady. You also get traditional clothing to wear to dinner which was great. Lovely and quiet location. Handy transfer to the station.
The hotel was very quiet, no real communal areas or bar so not a lot to do after dinner, you just go back to your room.

I love the location, it is about 5 minutes away from the main town which is a plus as it is really quiet and relaxing then. Plus the fact that it is in front of a lake and with Mt Fuji on the side, you can’t beat that kind of feeling. The kaiseki was phenomenal and so gorgeous, the staff was amazing and accommodating despite the language barrier, but the warmth of the Japanese people is here as they try their best to connect and communicate with my needs. The room is something that needs to be praised - it is very well maintained and preserved, the tatami mats are so clean and the hot bath outside is *chef’s kiss* very wonderful experience indeed. I would definitely come back here.
Nothing to dislike. I wouldn’t say that language barrier is a negative thing as I am the foreigner coming to Japan so I should speak their language even just the basics, but the staff tried their best to acknowledge and accommodate me with their warmth and smiles and gracious attitude. So that is a plus plus point

Great location with both a Lake and Fuji view - made for beautiful breakfast scenery and we sat in awe looking at Mt Fuji from our room. I know a few older reviews mentioned the facilities are older (which they are) but I thought they added to the charm and appreciated the Kotatsu and heated toilet. The staff also made sure everything was ready for us at checking including tea that was already made and the bath already filled. The walkthrough was also extreme helpful! Finally, they now serve coffee at breakfast which means they have read the reviews! We didn’t get to see Mt Fuji the first day but the room was well worth it for the following day

The traditional Japanese dinner is something everyone should try! The traditional room was also amazing, with futon beds and tatami. Great experience overall! And for the ladies, you get to choose from many colourful yukatas when you join. Also, one more thing, they have a private onsen as well with a balcony towards Fuji. The terrace also gives some stunning Fuji views in the early morning! 10/10
The internet could have been better, it was a bit slow, but if you are there to disconnect, that won’t be a great issue. However, bear that in mind if you are into content creation or posting.

Good location near the lake, with beautiful view. Easy to come in and out with the hotel shuttle. We were able to rend bikes nearby and go around the lake, lovely experience. A few restaurants around within 8-10min walking distance. Good service and helpful staff. Rooms are big, plenty to space. Cool sauna on our balcony.
The hotel is quite outdated. Old fashion in all ways, but still cute. Expensive for what it is. The sky terrace is small and not very interesting.

Don’t let the outside fool you, this is an amazing property, the inside is a well maintained by the staff. My friend and I stayed in a traditional room that was extremely well maintained. Our room have a built in open air hot bath with mt Fuji views. This was executional as mt Fuji was viable 2/3 days we were there. They also have traditional onsens which are tattoo friendly which is another additional plus if you have them.
Located slightly far from town centre however they have a shuttle service to help this. This is not a negative in my opinion as options are provided however my friend and I way preferred having the ability to explore while walking to the hotel. However we didn’t not have luggage as we used a luggage service.
