Great Mt. Fuji view, located not far away from the station, lake and supermarket. Good room size.

Very basic and not really healthy breakfast (sandwich) - just get something nice from the supermarket nearby and enjoy the 2nd breakfast with Mt. Fuji view from your room, transfer 1000 yen to the station - might be complimentary one time transfer as there is no alternative as there is no proper walkway when traveling with the luggage despite it is just around 1 km away

Accessible rooftop to view unobstructed view of Mt. Fuji on a clear day. Location was good, near to the Lake within 10-15 walking distance. Walking distance to supermarket and restaurants nearby. Room is clean and spacious.

I had a pleasant stay. Nitpicking about the stay is not worth saying.

The hotel was a little bit of a walk from the station (as we didn't book the shuttle) but it is in a good position between station, restaurants and the lake. The view of Mt Fuji from our window was spectacular as well as from the roof top. We chose the Japanese style breakfast tray was it was delicious

Friendly staff, modern facilities, nice room, tasteful combination of western/Japanese. Small bathroom, but had all you need. Beds were quite hard, it is customary in Japan, but honestly a bit too hard to our liking. Beautiful view from our room on Mt. Fuji, and we were lucky both days to have a clear view. The 4th floor terras provides excellent option to make (tele)pics. Nice detail, a good watermachine to fill up your bottles downstairs.

The breakfast is quite simple, different from what we enjoyed at other hotels, and the breakfast room has a large television on, without a need as far as we are concerned.

Breakfast was good with a choice of American or Japanese breakfast. The rooftop view was amazing. It overlooked Mt Fuji which was just fantastic. The hotel is close to the train station as well as one of the lakes, and to some fabulous eateries. We would like to thank the staff for making a earlier breakfast of toasted sandwiches for my husband/son to take with them when they left very early to climb Mt Fuji. There is the added bonus of a free shuttle bus to take you to the train station if you prefer not to walk. They also offer free water and wifi.

We were very happy to have Japanese and Western food options for breakfast. Very convenient that we could hire electric bicycles from the hotel. Hotel was conveniently located with enough space in the room. We liked being picked up by shuttle bus from Kawaguchiko train station on the day we checked in.

We did not like it when we were told that there was no shuttle bus service on the day of checking out to Kawaguchiko train station, but later we noticed a different office person organising a morning shuttle bus for other people! We asked her and she booked us on that same shuttle bus! Why were we originally told it would be 'impossible' to organise a shuttle bus for us on the day we were leaving??

Location is very good, so you can walk to many street to find shop, food and OGINO supermarket. Staff at Lobby are nice manner, helpful and I am very appreciate that she is good in English. The hotel has bus for transport to Lawaguchigo station that it’s comfortable. I stay in Watermelon room that it’s big dome-shaped room and I can see Mt. Fuji.

We stayed one night at HAOSTAY in Fujikawaguchiko and the experience was all about the view. The hotel’s rooftop terrace offers a direct and stunning view of Mount Fuji, which is truly the highlight of the stay. In July, visibility is usually low, and we knew the chances of seeing the mountain were not great. We had booked a room with a Mount Fuji view just in case, and it turned out to be the best decision. When we arrived at five in the afternoon, the mountain was completely covered in clouds. Just an hour later, at six, the clouds cleared and we had a perfect view of Mount Fuji with only a single fluffy cloud drifting by. It was a picture perfect moment. In the morning, we enjoyed another clear view around seven. By eight, the top was already covered in clouds for the rest of the day. Being able to enjoy those brief windows of clarity from both our room and the rooftop made the stay truly memorable. The room size exceeded our expectations. It was clean, modern, and much more spacious than we anticipated. The beds were very comfortable and we had a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was simple but satisfying. You could choose between a traditional Japanese set or two types of sandwiches. It was enough to start the day and matched the overall relaxed style of the hotel. Overall, HAOSTAY offers very good value for the price. It is a solid choice for a short visit to the area, especially if catching a glimpse of Mount Fuji is on your list. Book a room with a view—it makes all the difference.

I loved the vibes of the place, calm and quiet. The hotel staff were respectful and very nice. The room was comfortable and spacious. The rooftop had a stunning view of a spectacular and quiet view. The service was above expectations, highly recommend!

The location is a bit inconvenient, far from the center, but the shuttle service is very nice. Regarding smoking areas, the booking said that there were designated areas, but when we arrived they told us to smoke in any outdoor area around the hotel. I think it would be nice to have a designated area, even a small seating area with an ashtray.

Haostay is clean and in a good location. Far enough from the bustle of the train station ...but still an easy walk to the lake and all parts of the town. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was provided and while there was not much variety it was good breakfast. The complimentary shuttle bus was very convenient.

While the hotel is in a quiet location, the noises of the hotel at night were very annoying. Gurgling sounds and fans could be heard all night. Even when we switched off every device in the room there were sounds that made getting to sleep difficult.
