Old hotel, room space just nice choose with tatami bed. Free shuttle provided from Kawaguchiko station to the hotel with time provided. Arrived an hour earlier so we have to wait and then only called the hotel to pick us up. Would be better if the shuttle service is available at any time. 1 pillow provided for each bed and asked for extra pillows. Good surrounding, next to Kawaguchiko Herb Hall , mosque (can get halal food here) and La cremia ice cream shop. Bicycle rental is available here. Staffs are helpful and friendly

We stayed in a room with a stunning view of Mount Fuji, and the sight from the bed at night was simply amazing! The room also had a lake view option, but we chose the Mount Fuji view, which was the highlight of our stay. The female staff member was incredibly kind and helpful. The shuttle bus service in the morning made our travel so convenient. Right in front of the hotel, there was a boat you could take on Lake Kawaguchi, and just beyond the bridge, the view from the park was also fantastic. The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The bathroom was very comfortable, though we didn’t use the shower as there was a large public bath on the first floor. The public bath was great, and bike rentals were available as well. It seems breakfast wasn’t provided, but there are many restaurants around the area offering various types of food. The nearest convenience store is about a 15-minute walk away. Overall, an absolutely amazing stay—5 stars!

We have a room facing fuji, it is on the left side of the hotel and the view is brilliant in the morning. Staff are excellent, very nice to our questions and very responsive. We arrived at the train station but couldn't make a phone call so we texted them in the apps, and they are so responsive and pick us up at the station. (there is a phone machine right outside the gate for 10yen and station staff are also very helpful). Ozen facilities and hotel itself are old but clean and you can tell it is a traditional hotel. I am enjoying the historical vibe personally. Location is excellent, the hotel is located on the sightseeing bus route and it's only 10 mins by bus to cable car station and sightseeing boat pier. I recommend people who stay in this hotel to buy a day pass for the bus because only going to the Oishi park is 540 yen for one way. It is a good value of money.

sauna room would be good to have but it did not affect how enjoyable the ozen and hotel is.

We found this hotel to be in a great location with lovely staff and facilities. The building is dated but that had its own charm that made the stay a special experience. The onsen was great after a snowy day and there is a foot onsen in front of the property as well. The room was very spacious with a tatami area and had an amazing view to wake up to on our first morning. They also have local wines on display for sale with small fee for tasting as well as free parking on site.

There are small improvements that could be made for a better experience. The shower room had musty odour. The futons were a bit thin, where the pillows had some stains on them and no pillow cases. Due to this I slept on the bed instead which was fine.

The staff is very good and helpful. We were able to communicate with them in English. They have a bus service from the station to the hotel at certain times, which is very convenient, 50 meters from the station exit on your right. Otherwise, take the red bus, which will stop in front of the hotel. The hotel is comfortable but could use a facelift. Its location is excellent near the lake, and a 15-minute walk from the station. Thank you to all the staff for your kindness. You also have a good view of Mount Fuji from the hotel. Enjoy your stay.

The hotel needs a bit of renovation.

An easy and smooth check in/out process, staff were very pleasant and helpful. A big & well kept hotel, it is older, but we enjoyed that style of hotel. Located in a good area, with an accessible bus route, right next to Lake Kawaguchi as well. Our spacious room had a great view of Mt. Fuji, we also had a wonderful tatami space to relax in. Our bathroom was also very clean and spacious. The Onsen/Sauna was also a lovely experience!

There's not much to say we didn't like, yes it is an older hotel, so maybe in need of some minor fixings, but enjoyed the atmosphere it brings.

I see the point of some reviews I read, because the hotel is not very new and you can tell it’s quite old. There are also not many amenities offered. However, I think it is very much worth it for the experience itself. The room was huge and we had the chance to experience the ryokan style stay. I booked a normal room but we were given a room with an incredible view of the Mount Fuji. The location is perfect. It depends on what you are looking for. If you don’t care about old hotel and a bit rusty facilities then this is a fantastic place to stay in front of the mount.

It would look much nicer if it were renewed, and it wasn’t super clean. The futon in the closet looked like they had been there to collect dust for a while and honestly the room also looked quite old and not recently cleaned.

Sightseeing red line bus stop was just outside the hotel, bicycle rental available, luggage transfer across hotel available, good view of Fuji, Lawson just a 10min walk away, walkable to Mt Fuji ropeway (20min walk) and Kawaguchiko Station (20 min walk). Room is spacious and bed is comfortable. Private toilet and shower inside the room with good supply of hot water. Bed sheets look and smell clean. Room was quite soundproof but might be cos we stayed at the end (Room 313) and there were no neighbours beside us.

Shuttle bus have specific timings which means you have to find your way to the hotel if arrival/departure is not within specific slot (we took a taxi from Kawaguchiko Station and it cost 900yen). We are travelling in Dec and room was quite cold even though there's heater. Even though red line sightseeing bus stop was just outside hotel, difficult to board during peak hours due to the crowd.

Great facilities, the location, hospitality and the stunning view is an added bonus to the property, the staff so welcoming and helpful. The bath tub and toilet is clean they provided free yukata for adult and kids. Beside that there is public onsen if you want to try. Room with tatami offering mount fuji view is so stunning and mesmerizing, located next to Masjid and halal food. Walking distance to toy museum and gem museum also tax free shop. Bicycle for rental provided and got foot bath in front of the hotel. There is also shuttle provided to kawaguchiko station and need to be book earlier. Great experience to enjoy Japan culture.
