Just 5 mins walk to Oike Park to attend the Fireworks festival. Room is quite small but you'll get everything you want. There are coin laundry, ice tube makng machine, water providing for free on 1F. Great public bath.

Checkout 10am is super early. There's announcement and call to make sure that you'll check out on time which is quite annoying when you want to stay relax on your holiday. No towel in the public bath so you have to carry your own towel there.

Very convenient location, transportation provided with the train/bus station

The breakfast buffet was superb and had lots of options. There was a long array of wines and the like that you could pay a few hundred yen to get a taste of. There were multiple drink vending machines, and one for ice cream and one for tidbits and cup noodles. There was a microwave and hot water in that lounge area. Location was a few bus stops and a little walk away from Kawaguchiko station, but the hotel provided a shuttle service to and fro at certain times of the day respectively. If at kawaguchiko station we could ask the tourist centre to call the shuttle to fetch us there. The staff were polite, helpful and all in all amazing in spite of the language barrier. There were multiple onsen views and one of their indoor onsens remained open past midnight. Standalone highly attractive eateries serving hoto, tempura, ramen and charcoal grill and more are within walking distance of the hotel in its quaint little neighbourhood. So was a FamilyMart and 7-eleven. It is a great option for those seeking a low-to-mid barrier to entry Japanese Ryokan experience and I will definitely will consider coming here again should there be a group seeking something like this in Kawaguchiko.

We would have preferred if there were a few more options to hang our towels and other clothes in the toilet as well as the room in general.

The location is great and near the lake. Convenient location near several restaurants although be aware of lunch and dinner times that close at specific times. This hotel is perfect and is a quaint place that gives off the lake vibe. If you’re looking for a 5 star modern hotel this isn’t it. If you’re looking for a quiet hotel near the lake this is it. We didn’t get to see Mt Fuji because of fog , but that’s not the fault of the hotel. Hotel staff were so kind and helpful! Exceptional service from all staff. We definitely would stay again the next time we’re visiting this area. If you have the time, tour around the lake. Super serene and peaceful area!

Not much I didn’t like about this place. Some people might say it’s not modern enough, but it doesn’t claim to be. Again, if you’re looking for a super modern hotel this isn’t it. It’s perfect though. We loved it.

Amazing for traditional Japanese experience. They offer pick up and drop off from the station, which is super convenient and takes 5 mins by car (however the city is small enough that you can reach the centre in 15-20 mins). The service was top notch and staff very accommodating. Loved both onsens, especially the outdoors one - it was raining the second day of my stay and being in the hot onsen in cold morning rain was an unforgettable memory. They accept tattoos in the onsen! It was not crowded. I got the room with Mt Fuji view and seeing it from my window was great. The breakfast buffet was massive and the food delicious. Loved the stay and would love to return.

Bathroom was bit outdated.

We booked a traditional Japanese room with Fuji view. The traditional room was clean, comfortable and a lot of fun to experience. Mt Fuji appeared in our window on our first morning and was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful in arranging taxis and dinner reservations. Other than the traditional room, the hotel seemed a bit basic, but the Mt Fuji view and wonderful staff made it a wonderful experience.

Traditional futon was a little firm at first, but figured out how to make it more comfortable. Not many dining options in the immediate area, but some within walkable distance and many more a short cab ride away.

We booked a room with mount fuji view for 1 night. on the day we arrived the weather was bad, but the next day we had the most beautiful view of mount fuji! The onsen is really great, tattoos were no problem! we also booked a private onsen for an hour and it was perfect. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is close to Kawaguchiko station, you can ask for a shuttle bus to pick you up, but the walk was just 15 minutes so we decided to just walk to the hotel from the station and vice versa. You can rent bikes and e bikes on the other side of the street which was perfect to explore the area.

We arrived before check in time and just wanted to leave our luggage there but before we could even say something the staff told us in an annoyed way that check in would be at 15:00 o clock.

This was my second stay at Oike Hotel, and once again, it did not disappoint. The service was top-notch and the staff were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We especially loved the onsen — the outdoor bath was a standout, beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was another highlight, offering a wide variety of delicious options to start the day right. Overall, a fantastic experience. We absolutely loved our stay and would return without hesitation.

I went to the Oike Hotel with my family for one night to experience the city of Fujikawaguchiko and have a view of Mt. Fuji. The whole experience was great, the room in the annex accommodated the four of us with comfort. We asked the staff for all of us to sleep on futons and even though they said it would be crowded on the floor it was perfect for us. When we woke up in the next morning the sky was clear and we could see Mt. Fuji since the early hours of the day. I also reccomend the breakfast, which is an experience that should not be passed.

There was a little table in the room but only two chairs.

The onsens here are excellent. I loved that there were bookable private onsens in addition to the public ones. The selection of public onsen was very nice too - one outdoor zen garden decorated and one indoor with Mt Fuji views. We had the traditional room which was very spacious and had amazing view of Mt Fuji as long as the weather was good. The included breakfast buffer was amazing and included both japanese and other food - the best breakfast we had on the trip. Hotel faciilities like the vending matchines, wine dispensers, washing machines and kids room were a big plus and we used those a lot. The hotel was also well located and close to the train station and other food places. We regretted not booking dinner in advance - the restaurant does get fully booked at least a day in advance.

Not much I didn't like. For the price, the sleeping mattresses could have been of a better quality.
