Beautiful mt. Fuji view from our room. Spacious Japanese style room. The breakfasts and dinners included 10+ different items. Very friendly service. Loaner kimonos for use in the hotel. A few caveats: - They have a set way of doing things. - - Breakfast and dinner reservations must be made the day before. No meal options (although they did ask about allergies). - They have a strict checkin window time. Plan accordingly. - 10am checkout, but were happy to keep our bags while we wandered around and then call a taxi to get to our train. - The mat on the floor was too hard as is. There are extra mats so you can double up which makes it comfortable .

The AC in our room was not strong enough to match the August heat.

We got the dinner and breakfast package. The dinner was large and came with multiple courses. The food was incredible and we left the dinner super stuffed. The breakfast was slightly smaller and also came with multiple courses. Again, incredible food, and we greatly enjoyed it. The view, from what we were told, was incredible. However, due to weather, we were unable to see Mt. Fuji. This isn't to the hotel's detriment, it was just unlucky, but that's what happens with Mt. Fuji. The outdoor bath was very nice as well and was a very relaxing experience. The staff was super helpful and more than willing to assist us with any and everything we needed. They picked us up from Kawaguchiko Station, carried our bags up to our rooms, and greeted us when we came and left. They were very polite and kind.

The property was beautiful when we arrived they took our bags from us, got us all checked in far earlier than we planned to my plan for this trip was to propose to my girlfriend so them taking the bags and checking us in early. It was a godsend. We went explore the local area of which again beautiful and upon our return our luggage was already in our room and we had opted for the set meal, which I highly recommend because we came back went to a meal dressed in Yukata and kimonos and had the most incredible multiple course meal. The staff were friendly. The area was serene and the rooms are beautiful. I couldn’t have asked for a better engagement.

No issues 10/10

Aww, I liked this place! We stayed in one of the big Tatami Rooms with a Mt. Fuji View and a private hot tub on the balcony. It was nice! We were on the 4th floor, which is the same floor as the big hot springs/baths area. That was convenient. And once the baths close around midnight, we had our private tub on the balcony. The hotel is riiight across from the park/lake, so if you get a lakeview room there are no buildings obstructing your view. The breakfast and dinner were nice! Drinks (including soft drinks) are not included with dinner, so be ready to pay for those when you check out, but all in all it was lovely.

There isn't much around the hotel itself (aside from the park) so be sure to stop by a convenience store to pick up drinks and snacks *before* you arrive. There are a few snacks (i.e. potato chips) and a bunch of wine available in the gift shop, and vending machines with beers on the second floor, but if you want anything beyond that, you should stop by a convenience store near the station before heading to the hotel.

The room was beautiful and cozy, with an great view of the lake. Breakfast and dinner was very good. The public and private onsen were both excellent!

The beds/futons were a bit too thin for our heavy western frames, but there were extras you could pile on, making the beds decent. The food was excellent, but after a couple of days it started feeling same-y. I would advice having dinner there once or twice, but not more. The vending machines had only Suntory beer, which is decent, but lacks variation. Some local of microbrew options would have been nice.

Food was great. We paid for a private bath on the balcony and view on Mount Fuji and both were amazing. The room was clean and the tatami was beautiful. The public baths were great as well.

Just a minor detail: our bathroom door wouldn't... Unlock?? So we had to wait for the staff to repair our door and then we got too scared of closing the door and getting stuck, so we ended up never closing it for the remainder of our stay 😂

The staff was superb, they tried to assist the guests in whatever way they could. The rooms were spacious and kept very tidy by the cleaning staff. The hotel itself is a bit outdated but it was well-kept. A shuttle to the bus/train station was provided for the guests. You may also call the hotel if you wish to be picked up from the same station. The bus station and a beautiful park are just in front of the hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast that they served. Lake Kawaguchi is just across the building and they have a deck that provides a great view of Mt. Fuji, perfect for taking photos.

The hotel is quite far from most cafes and restaurants (about a 10 to 15-minute walk), a taxi or a bus ride is needed if you stay during winter.

We stayed at Lakeland Hotel Mizunosato for two nights in late January and had a wonderful experience. The views of the lake were absolutely stunning, and the location was perfect—close to town yet peacefully removed from the hustle and bustle. The hotel was very clean, and the rooms were spacious, though there wasn’t much space to store suitcases off the tatami mats. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The onsen was fantastic, with multiple pools at different temperatures to choose from. The food was excellent, with a beautiful outlook over the lake, and the shuttle bus to and from the station was a great convenience. Highly recommended!

The only downside was that the futon beds were quite thin, making them less comfortable than we had hoped.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming, going above and beyond to make me feel at home. I lost my cap during my stay, and they did everything they could to find it. Once it was found, they even offered to send it back to me by mail — such a thoughtful gesture! The room was very spacious, spotless, and featured traditional tatami flooring, which added a special touch to the experience. Everything was perfectly clean and well-maintained. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!
