This accommodation was kind enough to agree to receive a personal item I had misplaced in a previous hotel. They had to pay out of pocket and held my belongings blindly trusting a tourist would pay them back. For most of our stay, the receptionist 'Glenn' was happy to provide us with any help we needed such as providing us with more toiletries, bin bags and information about nearby services. He was very friendly and we had a lot to talk about! The bottom floor/reception also doubles as a laundrymat which is very useful after your daily 30k steps in Japan! Right across the road is a convenience store which saves you having to find breakfast elsewhere.

The staff were really friendly, one guy spoke English very well which made check-in very easy. They have a laundromat attached to reception, which was very handy for a longer stay. The area is less busy being further away from Kyoto station, which made it more relaxed and less touristy. Nice views from the 4th floor and the apartment was spacious, the kitchen was also a great size. The shower and toilet were separate which was also great and functional. The bed was very comfy, it was a regular mattress that comfortably fitted two adults.

The apartment is next to a main road, which can be noisy at times. The kitchen was a great size, but the fridge was small, so we couldn't stock it up too much. Please note that Kyoto city add a tax when you check into hotels, this is something we weren't aware of. We were charged an additional 200 yen for each night.

great location for the shrines with great mobility due buses and metro close by. We arrived at 12 and left our luggage with the staff and when the room was ready, they left it on the room. When we left, they allowed us to leave our luggage stored from 11 to 19 with no issues. Staff was friendly and helpful. the kitchen looked great for some home made food but didn't use it due lack of time hehe

the position of the plugs wasnt the best for checking our devices or use while reviewing our photos. Still, there were plenty plugs for us and our multiple devices.

Good location within walking distance from the Railway Station. Great kitchen facilities for preparing simple meals. Good shower and bath with a lift to the floors and good security.

The hotel signage is a little difficult to see when at night as it is in a doorway next to the stated laundry facilities. Just be aware when first locating the hotel of the small signage as the Taxi Driver also had difficulty locating the exact entrance. Be aware the seating is as per stated description in Japanese style floor seats around a low table, something that a Western / European person may find unusual in their own living environment. However, I would recommend and stay again.

Really lovely spacious room with comfortable beds. Really good value for money compared to other Kyoto prices - we were happily surprised! A nice lounge was appreciated at the end of long days. The shower was great and very hot. Good fast lift. Heating worked well. The kitchen had all the basics. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. Great having the laundry downstairs as we took the opportunity to wash all our travel clothes in the evening. Great location for buses and trains to popular areas and a comfortable walk to Kyoto station with our bags. The Lawsons around the corner is much better than the one opposite at the intersection- look around the corner!

All was great about the place itself. We missed having restaurants close by (there are a couple) but it’s a short bus to the Gion and surrounding areas.

1km from Kyoto station which is a 10-15min walk, good to walk to, well paved foot paths/ road no issues, Lawson convenience store just across the road, 7/11 nearby, no washing machine though paid laundromat is on ground floor. Kitchen is decent (though the chimney is a bit old but works)

Location: It is just on the main road meaning all the traffic noise is a constant even late at night. Sports bikes, buses, trucks all make a lot of noise and it is difficult to sleep. Noise is till late at night atleast 12:30am. There are two glass doors on the terrace but they just fade it. It was difficult. Other than this pretty nice.

The taxi driver couldn't find the hotel because of no visible signage. You check in via the laundromat next door. Anything additional like toiletries/ toothbrush etc they charge for. These are usually complementary in other hotels. They do provide free earplugs because at times it can be noisy. Nobody available between 9 pm and 10 am unless by text if you needed something, which fortunately we didn't. Location was good getting to local attractions. It's definitely an apartment hotel. Despite the above I would probably stay here again, but wish they had more visible signage.

The location is near local train stations and few mins walk to Kyoto Station, there are also nearby bus stops going to areas around Kyoto. There are convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The room size is adequate, with good facilities such as laundry downstairs, elevator, luggage storage and kitchen items.

The space is bigger than usual Japanese hotel room, and the location is awesome! It's between two stations and walkable distance. The Narita old street is not far away, also there are restaurants around the corners. The staffs at hotel speak English and they provide excellent services. Overall, I had pleasant stay at Welco!

It was a great hotel, the bed was sooo comfortable to sleep on. It was so spacious, loved the place. It had a balcony as well, the bathroom was big enough. And the best part about it was, it was right next to the bus stop. Everything was so good. Highly recommended to all the fellow travelers.
