The hotel was always clean and spotless, the room was a good size for 2 people, and the bed was comfy. We also enjoyed the lounge on the first floor, where we would have coffee every morning. Staff was helpful and attentive. There are a few launderette nearby and plenty of convenience stores. The bathroom was provided with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.

It was a bit far from the city centre (30/40mins walk to Gion or Nishiki Market) but on the other hand was quite close to Kyoto Station and there are plenty of buses nearby that can take you anywhere.

The rooms were a bit bogger than the other stays we had. The beds are single beds but they are on wheels. Meaning you can slide them towards each other. The fridge and the shower were good. Reception was very friendly and although not all of them could speak English with google translate you can go very far. Downstairs was supplied with all amenities and there was a kinda breakfast area with a microwave. Very helpful with sending our luggage to the next hotel.

The first room had a strange moldy smell so we asked for another room. We changed from the 6th to the 7th floor where the issue arose. Although it was close to the station the big busy road in front of the hotel wasn't very convenient .

It was relatively close to a main railway station and bus station for Airport bound busses. The closest subway station wasn't too far a way but still a good 10 minute walk. Very convenient as you are able to walk from the station right to your hotel. Very close to big shopping mall and supermarket. It has bike rentals near by.

There weren't too much not to like. Staff was very friendly and even helped us with finding a parking space for our rented bikes. If I had to pick one drawback it would be its distance to the city centre. It had some restaurants and place to go near by, but generally you'd have to travel somewhere else to find a restaurant and things to do.

Hotel seems to be quite new, so equipment inside is in good condition. Rooms are quite spacious comparing to others at this price in Japan. It's placed about 10 minutes walk from main Kyoto train station. Lobby on first floor also is very nice and spacious.

One day when we returned to hotel around noon, we found doors to our room open. The service was somewhere on the floor, but our room was empty. Even though the neighbourhood seems calm and quiet, we felt uncomfortable that our belongings had been left in opened room. This day we asked only for towels and trash bin replacement, so i think it could be done quickly.

Very convenient for Kyoto station and buses and all areas as location spanned south and downtown area. Close to a number of restaurants. Practical and convenient. Always amazed at design - everything you want in a smal space. Not a showstopper but good for the price if you want a certain standard but no luxury. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room so a few tea bags and coffee pods or similar wouid have been a good addition. It was very clean but good to check the schedule.

Very clean room. Had the basic amenities available on first floor. Staff were very friendly and helpful. About 15 min walk from Kyoto station. Bed and pillows were prefect for me. The air con ventilation was perfect, for once it didn’t feel too hot or too cold. And I was able to sleep well for once.

Even though it was near, it is advisable to take a taxi there if you have luggage as it is still about 15 min walk away. When we took the taxi, the driver was unable to find the location and dropped us at the other Zequu hotel, but thankfully the staff were friendly and pointed us in the right direction and it is just opposite.

Fantastic Location and Excellent Service! I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel is located very close to the train station, making it an excellent base for exploring nearby cities such as Osaka, Nara, Himeji, and Inari. The location could not be more convenient for travelers looking to make the most of their trip. The hotel itself is a new property and is very well-equipped with all the amenities one could need. The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. They went out of their way to make sure I had a pleasant stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

- Good value for money: I didn't expect that the hotel and the room would be this nice!! - Excellent service: The receptionists were all welcoming, especially the young man (tall, slim, with a bit curly hair?) who arranged the luggage delivery from Kyoto to Tokyo for us. He might not speak perfect English but with the help of a mobile translator, we had no problems in our communications. And we sincerely appreciated all of his efforts to help us! We also love this interaction with a local! :D Luggage storage before check-in (probably after check-out too?) was also available. - Spacious, very clean and elegant room - Comfy twin beds - Good room facilities: I liked the Kracie shampoo and hair conditioner provided!! - Good Wi-Fi connection

- The room would be perfect if the sink in the shower room was bigger. :P - I didn't like that we stayed here only 1 night! : ( I would love to enjoy a few more nights in this hotel!

Somehow we didn’t get the access to the WiFi, and there was no water in the room. Maybe we had to boil it from the bathroom and we didn’t know. We didn’t find any information on how to get the WiFi password or WiFi name.

Clean and nice rooms. Free tea and coffee, and some kitchen facilities (like a cups or spoons etc.) on the first floor. Good location, near to train station and metro station.

Small size apartments, but it was everywhere in Japan. There was no any breakfast, not a big problem, because you have many convince stores near with snacks and food.
