Nice & simple shared space! We enjoyed the experience of sleeping on the futon beds. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood and is within a good walking distance (about 15 minutes) to Kyoto Station and some other ones. We stayed on the first floor and got to use the washing machine for our clothes, and they also provided us with the laundry detergent too. The staff are nice and were very efficient by sending me clear instructions for how to get to the accommodation, how to access the accommodation and what to expect during check-in and check-out. It was a very smooth process and I appreciated the space they provided for us.

Very minor issue - it would be nice if there was an additional rack for drying clothes as we ran out of space, otherwise no complaints.

This was hands down the best place we stayed during our Japan trip. The space was incredibly roomy and felt like home for a few days. We were looking for an authentic tatami experience, and this place delivered. It had everything we needed, including a convenient spot to hang our hiking gear to dry. The self-check-in instructions were clear, and the host and staff were amazing, helping with luggage delivery and even bringing it directly to our room. They were friendly, communicative, and went above and beyond. Truly couldn’t ask for a better host, thank you!

It’s situated in between 2 stations so the walk to each would take approx 10 minutes.

This is a new studio apartment with separate kitchen, toilet, and a small storage room for clothes and luggage. Very big room for Japan! Bigger than any hotel. Building is new and well maintained. Everything is exceptionally clean. Kitchen has all basic things and appliances needed for cooking or heating food, or having tea/coffee. Location is perfect - very close to Kyoto station but in a quiet neighborhood. House owner is very kind and responds to requests almost immediately.

Futon beds can be hard for some people. Outside AC block was noisy, but owner promised to fixed it soon.

Walking distance from the Kyoto station. Quiet area. Hosts responded quickly to our requests. Room was very comfortable for three people, and would also suit a family. Everything was very clean. Futon beds were comfortable. Kitchen has a few implements, but it is not a full kitchen for cooking.

Room did not initially come with sheets for the futon mattresses. They did bring us some very quickly when we requested them. Host mentioned that this is the normal way Japanese use the futon. It's important to remember that how a bed is set up for your own house is not the same as how you would set it up for rental accommodation when many people are sleeping on a bed that is not washed. Location wise, I'd probably stay north of Kyoto station next time. Stairs were very small, would not recommend to anyone with mobility issues.

Excellent location, we were able to walk from the shinkansen at Kyoto station and Kyoto station also has buses direct to all the airports. Quiet, suburban area and a well-laid out flat with all required facilities. We had access to our own washing machine and drying racks outside. Spacious wardrobe and bathroom / toilet were also separate rooms.

You are asked to sort your own rubbish, but there is no guidance. We were not totally sure what was burnable / non-burnable.

I think this was a fabulous place to stay in Kyoto. Shinobu-san met us at the property very quickly and let us check-in when we arrived. She explained everything very well and was easy to work with. I had forgotten an important personal item at a different location during my travels, and it was easy to coordinate with Shinobu-san to ensure an easy delivery. She lso let us borrow bikes, which made for easy and fun travel around the city. The location is very quiet neighborhood, but it is still a quick walk from Kyoto Station, and there are a few restaurants and convenience stores in nearby walking distance.

It is one big room that suit for couple , or friend traveling . The staff is very kind and helpful for suggestion about neighbor. From the Kyoto station , you just walk for 900 meter to the stay .

you need to walk for public transport , especially subway , if you want to go for sight seeing around Kyoto. And it is less supermarket nearby.

The apartment is very large. As we stayed only 1 night, we did not use all commodities. You can leave your luggage after checkout if needed. Staff is very helpful. It is a 15 minutes walk from Kyoto station.

Great accommodation with convenient store, bus stop and train station within 5 to 10 mins reach.

I wonder why at 4:30am got someone opened our room door. Luckily got the door lock, i was awake that time due to going to washroom and got shocked with it. Hopefully landlord can explain about it.,

The location was great, everything was close. Everything was clean We were able to check in early, really appreciated that after our flight.

Cooking supplies were very basic, just two knives for 4 persons. We had to improvise a lot to prepare a very simple dinner.
