The hostel is very well organized, as is usuall in Japan everuthing is so clean, they give the service of laundry with a very good price, they keep your luggage if you arrive early or leave Kyoto later of the check out. Th hostel is very close to the Kyoto station wich is very important if you have to take some trains or another public transportation as subway and busses. We had a very good experience with this hostel, definitely If I come back to Kyoto I would book again here

We had a very bad experience with a woman of the reception at the moment of the check in she told me an amount of money different of my reservation in booking, I told her that my reservation was very clear and it indicates all the taxes, she started to be so rude and nonpolite, I told her that I was upset with her attitude and she just said "you can complain if you want" this is not normal in Japan where the people is very friendly and polite but this woman was the exception, bad experience

Common spaces are really nice - there's a kitchen with all you need and enough space to have a meal, there's a small garden and a terrace. Everything is well maintained and regularly cleaned (kitchen, bathrooms and toilets get cleaned many times a day). Staff members are all friendly and helpful. Hostel is close to Kyoto station, but quietly tucked away in a small back alley. The room is small, but exactly as in the description and pictures shown. We would definitely choose again, only it was a little pricey due to new years holidays.

Super spacious kitchen and chillout area with more than enough space to eat, cook or play some games. The kitchen, toilets and showers were always very clean aswell as the rooms themselves. There is not much space inside each room, but it is not necessary. Therefore the beds are super big and comfortable. There is a beautiful terrace to hang out outside and the staff is really nice, helpful and they all speak english fluently, which makes communication easy. There is a possibility to wash and dry your clothes via coin machines and you can always take as many towels as you need for each shower. And a big bonus on top: it is super affordable and I think if you travel alone, it is easy to make new friends here, since they offer a video game night every second evening. We loved it :)

Everything was good. They had laundry machines, both washers and dryers.

I had been removing my shoes at the door for all of my previous accommodations, so I was a little surprised to find it wasn't required here. You may or may not like that. My private double room was a little humid, I think. But it was raining a lot too, so it was probably to be expected. I had damp clothes that didn't dry while they were hanging up. The lighting in the room could be brighter. There's just one bulb above the bed and another above the sink.

The best hostel I stayed! The staff amazing and everyone were very friendly! They organize games nights and even had a Christmas party 🎄🎅🏽 There is a lot of information provided on the walls (like markets date and location, and recommendations) Super clean, comfortable and good value for money. I took a single room which had a sink which made getting ready so easy. The showers are on the first floor, and the towels are just next to them so you could take as many as you needed. The location- just next to Kyoto station, you can easily get there and get everywhere you need to.

This is very minor but the electric outlet next to the bed was just a bit above the middle of the bed- this means that if I would move a lot at night the plug would get out…

This is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. The staff is super friendly and professional. The facilities, including the common areas, bathrooms, showers, and room space, are excellent — there was even a table in the room that made organizing things easier. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the tea or work area is also very comfortable. Overall, excellent service!

The price for the dryer is a bit expensive, as it only runs for 10 minutes. I paid the same amount for a 30-minute cycle at a hotel in another city in Japan. But this is just a small detail compared to all the excellent things the hostel offers.

Really nice hostel that is well designed, very clean & in a good location. I’ve heard good things about their other Kyoto location, but we needed to stay near the train station, so we chose this location & really loved it. It’s right by the train station, but on a quiet street & has a nice roof deck, back patio, kitchen & reception lounge areas. The staff are really friendly & nice & keep the place clean & well maintained. We only stayed 2 nights & had a private room with shared bathrooms, but we would stay there longer if we had more time. Cool staff, great library selection & nice organization of space there to provide a variety of spaces & services. Computers, laundry, video games, bar, breakfast, cooking/kitchen, indoor & outdoor lounge & patio spaces, even a soaking bathtub & getting ready area in addition to the shower rooms.

this is by far the best hostel I've stayed at. the beds were huge and super comfy. the showers were also spacious and clean. and the location is a plus point, near the Kyoto Station. definitely coming back here

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel! The beds were surprisingly very comfortable and they even had different kinds of pillows available. I also appreciated that there were smaller lockers available to lock up your items. There were a lot of pamphlets if you were curious about what to do in Kyoto and they provided a lot of resources. They also have little events and happy hours so if you want to meet other travelers, you can! Their facilities and amenities were They will hold your suitcase for you before and after you check out which is amazing. It is also just a 5 minute walk from the Kyoto Station which is extremely helpful for someone who arrived on the bullet train. I would definitely come here again!

For my floor, to go to the girl's restroom, you would have to walk through the men's restroom which was a bit uncomfortable. I also didn't like that there was no place to lock your suitcases up. I think they also need to invest in a plug-in air freshener for the rooms because they smell exactly what you would expect a hostel room with busy active travelers to smell like after a long day. It is not pleasant.

Amazing 10 stars. If everything is ok during your stay, it should be 10 stars, but Piece Hostel Kyoto should have an A+ star. It's the dream hostel. Because the installations like the individual room and the crew, you feel like being in the comfort of a hotel and the convenience of a hostel, with a wonderful dreamlike kitchen and a beautiful lounge with balcony. Bathroom always clean. Nice bed. Really recommend! Hope to be there again! Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu!

This is not even something bad or I didn't like, but as we always can improve in life, the floor in the rooms could be changed for some kind of wooden floor. Install mosquito screens in the window's rooms. AC clean.
