This place is beautiful and really cool. It felt really authentic, plenty of space, really lovely apartment. The outdoor bath is really beautiful (we just got a bit confused with the instructions and couldn’t work out how to turn it off - likely user error lol).

The location is a little bit removed from the main areas for restaurants etc. we would have preferred to be more central, but Japan is super easy to get around via train so it was okay. It was a walk from the main station for the airport, so that was convenient. Some clearer instruction for the bath would also help :)

Very relaxing, atmospheric and immersive. The outdoor bathtub was something very important to me and I enjoyed it a lot, the futon-style beds were comfortable and the tatami very beautiful.

There is a possibility of seeing cobwebs or dust around the corners, it didn't bother me as it was an old house.

I loved the outdoor bathtub. The reception desk even had bath salts that you could take back to your apartment with you. I also loved that they had an amenities counter so you can get little cups of shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. The apartment was so spacious compared to anywhere else I've stayed and the floor mattresses were comfortable. The hot water and pressure were really good.

I didn't like that the restroom was always so cold. It was easily the coldest part of the apartment which is not nice when you have to partially undress.

The Futons were cozy to sleep in and the private outdoor hotbath in the indoor garden was amazing. During check-in, the hotel offered a wide range of bath powders to at to the bath. The location was also really good, 15 min walk from Kyoto station but still in a quiet neighborhood.

The house was really nice, with the tub on the yard. very nice. the neighbourhood was really peaceful.

it was close to the center but not walking distance. the fact that they don't clean, for the total of 3 night that we stay in.

We were very pleased with the house, it was cozy and had authentic Japanese feeling. Bath was great and we would love to come back!

Bedroom wasn’t completely dark at night, so it’s good to have a sleeping mask.

Taxi to the door from reception made finding it easy on first day and took the hassle out of settling in. The layout of accommodation was traditional Japanese and inclusion of the onsen was a feature we loved.

Japanese traditional style little house, very immersive into japanese culture. Small, charming and quiet street. The external bath was amazing to relax after a day full of visits. We really enjoyed our stay!!

A unique experience, unforgettable. On check in there are many extras you can pick up to take with you.

Nothing. The stairs are steep and the futon is on the floor so it wouldn't be comfortable for someone with mobility issues
