The hotel is really beautiful and well located, they have an amazing breakfast with a lot of things to choose, every day in the night when we came to the hotel they have cold water, coffee or even sake, and you can served wathever you like.

The only bad thing about this hotel was that we wait for hours to used the washing machine, people just leave their things inside until night. We used it two times and the first clothes came smelling really bad, they said in the used manual to don't used detergent but you need it if you want your clothes to smell good. The second time we used it, we have even an alarm to picked it up, but when we went they take our clothes and they have it in the desk, I understand they need to do it if the clothes are there for hours (they didn't do it in the first case) but ours just finished and they took it, why they need to touch my clothes.. I don't understand that.

The staff was friendly and the bathroom was clean. Pajamas and slippers were provided. Drinks and candies were available throughout the day. The location is close to many bus stops and Kyoto Station. In general, we had a pleasant stay.

We booked two rooms. One room with two beds and another room with three beds. The thirs bed was basically a couch. Thus, the bed was hard. The room is clean, but the walls could have been repainted. They have pencil and dirt marks. We stayed for three nights. The breakfast menu is the same every day. An hour late checkout costs ¥1000. They didn't have a hair dryer and iron. The other three hotels we booked in Tokyo, Kawaguchiko, and Nagoya had a hair dryer and iron.

Breakfast was superb. Although the scrambled egg needs firming up, every morning it was largely untouched by all, as it was too runny. Lovely eating area, beautifully laid out with a garden view at the far end. Complimentary drinks & snacks of an evening were appreciated. Our room was spacious.

The arrangement of certain items in our room was a bit bizarre. The kettle is located in a section of the room....that has no plug socket. The potential area for hanging up your clothing is left as a wasted open space, instead you hang your clothes on hooks on the wall! We found the remote under the bed...so the housekeeper clearly hadn't looked for it, some dusting required too, and the walls need a good scrub, tea and scuff marks did not do this comfortable airy room justice. The wifi (in our room) was terrible.

The overall look of the hotel is so Japanese and it feels so comfortable. There are drinks like apple juice and cool tea available after breakfast time till night. I never regret options for the breakfast because the Japanese breakfast is so great! We have so much fun having them. Although the menu never change for the 3 days. There are convenient store and supermarkets near by. Transport usually is with bus , so if you have large luggage, will need a cab because kyoto don’t allow large luggage on bus

The aircon is not that strong, we stay during the summer time and it get hot when the sun raises

I had two bookings at this hotel one for the Western-Style and one for the Japanese style, both were great and comfortable and also the facilities were great for two people with 6 luggage bags, the price was very reasonable and affordable compared to Osaka & Tokyo places. Very close to bus station as it is the most wide use public transportation in Kyoto Will definitely recommend staying here and hopefully coming back later to Japan

I have tried the breakfast there aren’t much Halal friendly food (same as most stays) so for Muslims I don’t recommend the reservation for breakfast.

The hotel is amazing, it has a calming relaxed atmosphere . The staff are courteous and kind and attentive. The facilities excellent. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and bed so comfortable. I would certainly 100 percent recommend. I will certainly stay again. We booked it late after being discharged from hospital and needing a hotel before flying home. The staff were lovely with us checking in at 11.30 pm . We slept wonderfully and the bathrooms and room immaculate. The breakfast was delicious and we could leave our luggage safe whilst we nipped out . We then were able to stay and wait in the lovely lounge area with fresh drinks until time to go to the airport .

Everything was amazing. Staff was helpful in many occasions - we had a lost luggage shipped with nothing but my name, they received it and made sure we got it. Needed coin exchange for the laundry - done within a second. While I personally tried to speak Japanese as much as I can to practice, I got an understanding that their English language skills are exceptional, considering how non-english speaking Japan is. Breakfast was terrific, not a boring day - add their Oriental Club membership (free) that allows you to rent a bike free of charge and get a late check out at no additional charge - you got an amazing stay at your hands. And the price + location and all else mentioned is crazy good value.

One of the beds was a bit too hard for my liking.

Great hotel with very helpful staff. The Japanese style rooms are very comfortable. Since our last stay they've added complimentary drinks in reception in the late morning to early evening. It's super handy if you've just come back in from a long walk! Lovely quiet location, a walk from the station but not too far.

Compared to last time our room was a bit worn on the walls. The normal sort of suitcase scuff type marks, but there were quite a few so probably due a repaint. One stain up on the ceiling area. Beds and bathroom were otherwise immaculate.

If you’d like to have Japanese breakfast , it was wonderful here . So fresh and lots of variety . There are other things as well . The hotel facilities were great , washing facilities and an ice machine . Walking distance to plenty of supermarkets and a great selection of small restaurants close by . Main Kyoto station is only 15-20 mins walk . You can also hire push bikes , but get in early .

This hotel's location was about a 15 minute walk from the Kyoto train station and it was very accessible via several bus lines. We enjoyed the Japanese breakfast each morning and the atrium with the garden was a beautiful background for our meals. We also borrowed the electric bicycles one evening to get around Kyoto. That was super fun and easy to use. The hotel staff is very friendly and spoke English well. They offer daily refreshments in the evening in the shared area --- a huge bottle of sake, a variety of teas, coffee, and small candies.

Our only complaint was that the carpet in the rooms felt a bit grungy and dirty although they didn't look dirty. Luckily house slippers were provided so we made sure to wear those all the time.
