Room was very spacious and clean. Spa was clean and really refreshing used it every day. The gym is small but good for a small workout, with amazing views of the city, gym is 1000yen for 2 hours. Reservation required as it is not enough for many people.

Sauna was not good, they dont allow you to throw water on the kiuas "stove" wich is the MAIN part of a sauna, as it is now it is just a dry hot room... Dont recommend using it. Without the steam from throwing water sauna loses its feel There is laundry machines but they get quite busy with many quests using them so you have to wait a while to use them.

The room size is great! Bigger than a lot of hotels in Japan. Especially the bathroom size, it’s really big, nice, modern and clean. It also has a big window and great view. Breakfast includes western food and traditional Japanese food, lots of choices.

The location is not so good, not many restaurants around, away from the station, but usually just cost $10 - $15 from the hotel to Kyoto station if you call a uber . They only fully clean the room every three days, but provide new towel every day. I feel Onsen is a little bit dirty cause I can see a lot of hair on the floor and barely see anyone clean it.

The staff were excellent. Very friendly and lovely. The rooms albeit on the smaller side were extremely comfortable and clean, and with ample amenities available on the ground floor. Location was good too, train station a bit of a walk but the buses around the corner took us basically everywhere we needed to go. Great coffee shop around the corner too. Breakfast was delicious and honestly I need to repeat how great and kind the staff were. Everyone was accommodating and hospitable. I would definitely stay again.

My only complaint is the bathrooms are slightly small with not enough hanging space, but it’s an easy workaround.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet. Staff were great and helped us move our luggage to Tokyo Breakfast was very good, lots of choice if you are willing to try different things. Location was good, we walk a lot so we did that most days, there is a bus stop to take you to Kyoto station and other area but we didn't use it The area around the station has many hidden restaurants and cafes down the narrow streets. .

Pillow was a bit odd, hard beans on one side and a softer bit on the other, it needed to be manipulated into shape to really support your head and I did have some neck pains from this.

We stayed at Kyoto Gojo Premium for three nights. The rooms were clean and well-organized. What truly impressed us were the thoughtful meal options for vegetarians, both for breakfast and dinner. The hospitality and integrity of the hotel staff were exceptional. A particular incident stands out - I mistakenly paid for my meal using a 10,000 Yen currency note instead of a 1000 Yen note and left. The hotel staff realized that I had overpaid and came looking for me, and they proactively returned the money. I hadn't realized that I had overpaid till that moment. I am so grateful for the honesty and integrity of the hotel staff!

The location of the hotel is approx. 15 minutes by the public transportation from the Kyoto station. In general, if you like to walk it is a good location towards the most major sightseeing spots in Kyoto and very well connected to other spots. The room was very spacious, clean, with a great bathroom and a large walk-in shower. Comfy beds and all necessary amenities included (Youtube also on TV). Variety of food and drinks for breakfast. Vending machine, coin laundry, spa also in the hotel.

The restaurant area is not that big to support all guests, especially larger families, but the waiting is not long.

The room was roomy compared to other hotels in Japan. Clean, comfortable place to get some rest and a shower with excellent water pressure. Second floor rooms may experience street noise from outside, but the the curtains do a decent job blocking out the noise and keeping the room dark to help you sleep. Staff was helpful with the basics, and check-in / check-out were easy. HVAC kept the room temperature comfortable with minimal noise.

Some street noise due to being on a lower floor. However, this is largely mitigated with the curtains. No USB-C ports for charging devices. Only one (1) USB-A port for normal charging (no fast charging). A bit far from the main tourist attractions in Kyoto, but this is easily overcome due to easy access to public transportation.

Gorgeous, spotless hotel. There are bus stops nearby and a subway station about 10 minutes away by foot. It’s fairly close to Kyoto’s shopping district via walking and has an amazing onsen to relax in at the end of the day. Just be aware that, like most Japanese onsens, it’s not tattoo friendly.

The breakfast is a bit pricey, so we never tried it, but there are plenty of places to eat around the hotel if you’re willing to walk a bit.

5 stars breakfast, a variety of food there, locally produced food are available, which makes your stay more special. An organic Owaga coffee is a personal favorite of mine, having a wee peek at photo on its website of the hot spring inside the hotel doesn't do it justice, but it's got everything in there. Just poping in there actually gives me a taste of Japanese culture. As a sporty person, I was satisfied with a gym available.

Upon arrival, I spotted a ciggarette that wasn't clearly mine.

Great staff, very friendly cleaners, good work. They made my bed in the cutest way every by tucking the blanket to my toy Usapyon. We used takyubin (address delivery of luggage) in Japan and sent our suitcases all the way from our hotel in Tokyo to Urban Kyoto Premium. It is the only hotel that actually brought our luggage to the room before our arrival. Or probably it was because we upgraded to a premium room. Either way nice service. Speaking of onsen, I loved the lifting gel provided.

I originally found a room here on Booking by filtering by "soundproof rooms" "twin room". I made a booking of a twin room with two separate beds, which was confirmed on the pictures. However at the time of check in the staff informed us that we are getting a double king size bed. That was awfully unexpected. However by paying 14000 yen on top for three nights our room was upgraded to premium twin room with two separate beds. The location is not very convenient - 10 min walk from the subway station or 25 min walk from Kyoto station. Not horrible to me, but walking with suitcases on you is inconvenient.
