Beautifully renovated traditional house with tasteful finishings and an excellent bathroom. The space was small, but very efficiently laid out and was perfect for our stay

The futons and beds are traditional and quite firm by Western standards. The location was a little out of the way and meant quite a lot of walking to access shops and transport. It is a very quiet area though, and a lovely street.

Good location, clean, easy check-in, lots of amenities in the room and you could gather other required toiletries at the check-in site. Rooms were cool in temperature and shower/bathtub was very nice.

The western style bed was very uncomfortable. You could feel the springs of the mattress throughout. I would recommend the thin floor futon instead of the mattress.

Barely equipped kitchen, worst I have seen during our Japan trip; hard beds

-more spacious than I anticipated (I live in Japan) -in a quiet area but not far from a station -there is a living room, good for groups with the common area. -you can get a feel of what it’s like to live in Japan instead of staying in a regular hotel.

Not too close to Kyoto station. But they order a taxi for to drop you off from the check in location.

beautiful space, very well decorated with stunning attention to detail. so lovely to have a small outside space to be able to open the window and have fresh air. comfortable beds and plenty of towels provided. we were in the properly for a week and they came and changed the bins and beds for us. it was really arrivistes the staff were extremely friendly and helpful allowing us to drop our bags before check in and organising a taxi for us on departure.

Beautifully updated traditional style house. Everything provided that you could possibly need. It was quiet and private in a great residential location. Walking distance to restaurants, cafes and all transport options.

The traditional style beds were really too firm for what we are used to. The stairs were very steep but manageable if you are careful.

A charming traditional house where we felt like home immediately. The area itself feels safe and quaint, and quiet close to all the hustle and bustle of the city.

Unfortunately, the futon beds were at additional cost, so I hope to give them a try next time.

A full Japanese experience, comfy beds, beautiful little garden and living room!

It's a bit small but that was expected :)

Overall it was a great experience. Everything was like shown in the pictures, the apartment was good equipt and the location also was really nice.
