The customer service was great. We were able to ship our luggage from there to Tokyo. They helped us get a big enough cap for our group. The breakfast was actually tasty. The rooms were small but not Tokyo small. They had tasty lemon water. I wish it was always available . The toiletries in pajamas were easy to grab every day. They had laundry available if you needed it. We didn’t use it.

It felt a little far from the station. However, it was easy to fine. Lots of attractions nearby. Not actually with the price we paid.

This is a larger hotel room by Japanese standards, though still relatively small. The hotel is really well equipped, with a downstairs chill out space offering free coffee. The staff are friendly and very helpful, speaking good English. It's a five minute Uber to the train station and a five minute walk to local tube stations. A great hotel in Kyoto.

Absolutely brilliant hotel that far exceeded our expectations. For the price we paid we weren't expecting much, but we were so pleasantly impressed. Good size room, decent breakfast option with a bit of everything, nice lobby/communal area with plenty of tables to have lunch/dinner if staying at the hotel. Also, between 2pm - 11pm there is a "welcome refreshment" option, meaning you can use the coffee machine available to make yourself a tea, coffe or enjoy a cold drink (lemonade or various tea options depending on the day)... Definitely a nice touch which we didn't expect to find at a budget chain hotel. Laundry service option (3 machines available, but we never had to wait for them when needed, and you can check the availability from your room). Laundry detergent IS provided. LOCATION: about 35 minutes walk from Gion and main shopping area (unsure about buses available as we didn't use any). 20 minutes walk from Kyoto station (or 5 minutes taxi for about 1200¥/£6 ish). Fushimi Inari is about 15minutes taxi (2600¥) Supermarket and a few convenience store to grab food/drinks within 5/10 minutes walk. I would definitely come back if back in Kyoto. You can leave luggages before and after check in/out FREE of charge

The room and the beds were the biggest during our Japan visit. Very spacious and nicely illuminated rooms. Breakfast was offered in both Western and Eastern styles and it was completely OK.

Kyoto is not like Tokyo and Osaka so, the main commuting vehicle is bus. There is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel however Google Maps has not offered this for many occasions. Thus, you must know the hotel is not directly in the centre like Nishiki Market and other places of attraction. However, thanks to Japan's organisation, the buses were always timely but we had to walk to the stops approximately for 8 minutes in average. This could be a little challenging in the summer (as we did).

Wonderful and very cozy room, nice view, awesome lobby and the friendliest staff I've ever met. Breakfast exceeded my expectations. Bus stop right at the entrance to the hotel. Places to eat and convenience stores at a walkable distance (personally I ate at Royal Host, 1 min from the hotel, great European food mixed with Japanese style food). I had a view of the mountains and the road, so a big bonus for that. Furthermore I was allowed to store my luggage for free for a whole day, which was very handy! Better check in online beforehand, for a smooth process, very easy and fast. Great laundry room, perfect for a longer stay in Japan. Wifi works just fine, personal for each room. Overall a good price, very reasonable for the commodity you get! would recommend!

I personally didn't like the location, yes it's a walkable distance from kyoto station, close to Nishi Hongan-ji Temple, but pretty far from Kyōto's main attractions and travel destinations (always 2 busses to reach the hotel). Might get noisy since there's a busy crossroad right next to the hotel, but the sound isolation is somewhat great.

Almost perfect stay, staff were extremely nice and helpful. Located 15 min on foot from Kyoto Station, 30 min from Nijo castle, 30 min Nishiki market. With 2 children (3-6y) without any kind of problems. We used laundry machine (2h), our room was big enough and comfortable. In front of hotel is city bus station and across the street. Most important, bus number 28 and 85...both can take you to the Arashiyama park (Bamboo forest). In lobby is coffee machine (no extra fee) and normally two drinks (water with lemon) and tea, which i think is big plus in comparison to the other hotels.

Only one thing bothered me, we stayed on the first floor and going to breakfast every morning took us some time...there are 2 lifts and also when you press the button...it automatically goes to the top floor and chooses the top floors first...and of course when it stops on the first floor is full. Maybe something the hotel management should think about.(there are just emergency stairs )

We came to Kyoto in our rented car and checked in quickly (by machine). The staff was very friendly, and after dropping our suitcases, we took our rented car to return it at Kyoto's office. The room was comfortable. We had breakfast at the hotel and dinner in restaurants nearby (yes, yes, another Ramen..) During our stay there (five nights), we understood that there is a way of transporting our big suitcases to Tokyo. This idea was one of the best ideas we had in our trip (Kyoto's train station is a huge building). Our staff in the hotel assisted us in delivering our suitcases to our hotel in Tokyo (on the date we arrived there), and so we were free to take trains with light bags. Please consider buying tickets for trains to Hiroshima or Osaka at the tourist information near Kyoto's train station.

Last year we stayed at Comfort Nagoya. It was a great experience and hence, we were confident that it would be a great stay for us this time round. We enjoyed our stay - the room was spacious enough, clean and comfortable. Will definitely book Comfort chain for my future trips in Japan.

There are only 3 washing machines available and during our stay, one was out of service. For the number of rooms at the hotel, I would think that a min of 4 washing machines would be more ideal. We didn't get to wash our laundry for the 2nd time during our stay.... need to queue for the washer :( The two washing machines would only be available close to midnight.

The hotel is comfortable, the staff were very nice and welcoming. The breakfast had plenty of options, both japanese and european. We had a room with 3 beds and it felt quite good in size, it even had a nice sitting area. There are some big supermarkets and plenty of restaurants in the area, and a big shopping mall within about 15 mins walking.

It's about 10 minutes away from the subway, and about 20 from the main railway station - was not a problem for us, but something to keep in mind if you are travelling with lots of luggage.

We had a family room, so the room was very spacious and modern. Floor beds were awesome with a small kid. Overall everything needed was there. Location was good. 20 min walk to Kyoto Station or 5 min by bus (leaves directly in front of the door). Stores and restaurants in walkable distance. Coin laundry was very practical and easy to use. Value for money is great.

When hotel is very full, the breakfest was very crowded. On the majority of days it was alright. Selection at brealfest was a bit small. Some basic bread/toast would have been great (only sweet pastries were available) Some shelf or storage space would have been great. There were only hangers but nothing else. There is enough space on the walls to install maybe 1 or 2 wall shelves.
