This place was incredible and such a reasonable price. Beautiful reception area and building in general, friendly staff, and the room was compact but not too small. Great fun having a 12th floor room! Breakfast was extensive Japanese-style, including local speciality sea bream dishes, and some Western-style offerings of yoghurt, compote, eggs, bacon, bread rolls, pastry etc. Location is great- tram stop just outside, only a flat 25 minute walk to the castle ropeway or 20 minute tram to Dogo Onsen. Parking is first come first served but is right next door, and staff validate your ticket for 1000 yen/day (rather than the normal rate of 200 yen/hour). Also self-serve laundry is available for 300 yen/load, plus dryers at 100 yen/30 minutes.

Breakfast - excellent local food feast; not much selection of American food, which is just fine with me, but my American husband was very much satisfied enough with what they had for western breakfast. Room - very clean and bidet as expected. Shower water pressure was good. Very nice view of the Matsuyama castle and moats. Location - excellent location near JR Station, of all sorts of places mostly by foot or to Hot Sprints by a streetcar.

Probably only to foreigners, but the Hotel parking was a bit confusing. It worked out fine though. Taxi ride was a few min away from JR Station, which we used when we arrived Matsuyama JR Station with many suitcases.

We also greatly appreciated the excellent and insightful suggestions provided for our itinerary. We observed that reservations are not taken in advance, and guests are required to signup and wait upon arrival at the dining area. With the utmost respect, might we suggest exploring the possibility of implementing an advance reservation system for breakfast? Alternatively, providing guests with clearer information upon check-in regarding the registration process and potential wait times during peak hours could also be very helpful in managing expectations and enhancing the overall dining experience. This is simply offered as a point for consideration.

Room big enough for three adults (two semi-double beds and one semi-double sofa). Bathroom and toilet were separated and with the mini lobby / entrance cabinet, extra chairs and a desk, there was plenty of room to store amenities, towels, luggage. The reception staff was very friendly and helped us with the ferry booking to Hiroshima.

Having more than one pillow per beds would have been great. The overall building / bathroom / curtain / fixtures looked a little outdated but everything was in perfect working order so the stay was overall really comfortable and nice.

Location is convenient. It is right next to Matsuyama castle park, across the street from the Nishihoribata Iyoten tram stop, about 10 minutes from the JR train station and the Matsuyama city station. Rooms are clean and comfortable, although the decor seems a bit dated. There is a coin laundry with separate washer and dryer, so doing a load of laundry is efficient. Staff are courteous and helpful and there is some English language support, too. There is parking at a garage near the hotel, and costs a bout 1000 yen per day for hotel guests (or 200 yen per hour). We had a room with a lovely view of Matsuyama castle.

Decor could have been updated, but this is a very minor issue. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

The location is quite good, close enough to the station and downtown, and just a 20min tramway ride to Dogo Onsen. The rooms are spacious and very very comfortable, with everything you need. I got the one with a castle view (12th floor!) and it's just the most gorgeous.

The breakfast quality is so different from the pictures that I think it's scammy. And it's so expensive, frankly it's shameful. The bedroom could have been cleaned better too.

MyStays was really easy to walk to from the JR station. We got there just before 2pm and were able to check in straight away. It’s a tall building and signs are easy to see. On enquiring, I was told that our room would not have a castle view but we were changed to a lower room with castle view when I asked if possible. It was distant but nice! Having checked in so early and freshened up, we had the afternoon to explore and eat out. The hotel’s location is good for access to both station areas and to the castle grounds. Tram stops are very close too. Easy to figure out transport options. The staff were very helpful. On request, a taxi was ordered for us for checkout morning so we could travel to the port for a ferry to Kure / Hiroshima. We liked that the window in the room opened so we could let some outside air in. And there were some charging leads for devices in one of the drawers.

The air was a bit stale, like an ex smoking room. But everything was clean. The beds were harder than most others in Japan!

Hotel is located in a great place and view from high floors is amazing. Breakfast is also really nice, and they also provide local dishes during breakfast. Room is convenient and clean, bathroom is big enough. Air conditioner is quite and warm pretty well I really like my experience, and want to stay there next time in Matsuyama

I think the hotel costs its price. However, breakfast time is pretty earlier and I expected line several times - waited for a place to seat. Cleaning was really good, but at my last day the mirror was cleaned in some strange way with lots of line on it. Due to air conditioner the dust problem is pretty significant, and I could feel it during my stay - I’m allergic to it, so maybe it’s not that noticeable. Also sound isolation could be a little bit better

Nice hotel. The view of the park and Matsuyama Castle without obstruction is great. The size of the comfort room is ok for a couple. It is a bit of a walk from the JR Matsuyama Station, but there's a tram stop 2 minutes from the hotel. While the hotel has a restaurant, there aren't many other restaurants and coffee shops around the hotel. Though there's a family mart convenient store across the street from the hotel.

Everything was finde. Breakfast had a variety of things to choose from. Mainly japanese food but also some scrambled eggs. Rooms were small, but equipped with small fridge. We had everything we needed. Close to the center, everything easy to reach with public transport.

We could not turn one of the lights out in the room and were too tired to go to the reception to ask...
