A great option for a solo traveller if you get a better deal from Booking on this accommodation. The prices can vary a lot, so that's also a reason why I didn't extend my stay. I love the shared baths – 2 baths in the female section and the water of the onsen one was just 36 degrees, which makes it bearable to stay for a longer period. Also, the room was huge enough to comfortably fit and open my luggage while still having some space for a morning stretch.

I had a piece of garbage left on the floor after the previous customer, but it was a bit "hidden", so I guess the cleaning service just overlooked it. Also, the bed is on the wheels and therefore can move a bit when you sit in it.

First of all, all has to be seen in the relation of the paid price. 16m2 room (the larger type) for JPY 5.800 plus a very modest JPY 950 for a set menu of Japanese breakfast is a bargain more than you can ask for. Therefore my expectations were not set too high. Bottom line, my expectations were exceeded in all aspects. Ofcourse this hotel is a business hotel meeting the Japanese standard in terms of check in / check out rulings, the standard set of rules and regulations, the nationwide common squeeze of a unit type bathroom, standard bed, desk, etc. What makes this hotel stick out of the mass, is its friendly and sincere personnel, the fantastic public bath, top notch location and last but not least an agreeable set of breakfast to an agreeable price. Different to my fellow travelers, WIFI was speedy, no set up nor connection issues. All top notch. Basically there is nothing to complain about. If I paid double, I would surely be shopping for complaints and petite issues. All in all, it was a nice stay, helpful and friendly staff, decent lodgings, prime location.

If I paid more, I‘d be nagging more.

I loved absolutely everything about my stay! The room was so spacious (the most spacious hotel room I've ever stayed in in Japan) and the onsen was incredibly comfortable. Everything that I could possibly need was provided and the tram stop to get you to the station and/Dogo Onsen is just a short walk away, making this very conveniently located. Would absolutely stay there again if I could and would wholeheartedly recommend that others do too!

The only thing that I can think of is that I wish that there was an option to decline fresh towels/pyjamas as well as room cleaning. I didn't need new ones every day and it felt wasteful.

Their natural onsen was waaayy much better than the Dogo Onsen. Staffs were nice and professional. Located within 10 minutes' walking distance to the Matsuyama castle and the Okaido shopping arcade. Very close to a tram stop.

The room was old and the bathroom didn't appear very comfortable/ clean to use. I just used it for toilet and went to their natural onsen instead.

The twin room was great, spacious and with a large desk where two persons can use a laptop simultaneously. The charging ports were organized very well, available both for the desk and the beds, and it was very convenient. The bathroom and shower were also in top condition. The staff was very welcoming, and the guidebook shown at check in is so cute!

Friendly staff and great value. Easily within walking distance of the Matsuyama arcade area and several tram stations. Many restaurants are also in the area and shopping is also easy to access for tourists at stores such as don quijote and other pharmacy discount shops. A hot spring is also available for those interested.

I was able to hear even the smallest sounds from the hallway and sometimes the rooms next to mine. I think the doors are very thin? Did not really cause any inconvenience, but if I had one criticism it would be that I had to be mindful of how loud I may have been to others as well. Elevator was also VERY hot and slow.

Great location close to castle and restaurants with nice onsen to relax in after sightseeing. Room was fine. Female staff who checked me in was nice and friendly and spoke clear and steady Japanese to me to guide me through the process as I was using Japanese. I wish every check in I experience in Japan using Japanese was as good as this.

Very good hotel for the price. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room was business hotel standard. Window could be opened. Located directly at the main shopping district. Public bath that was also accessible to the public at certain hours. As for the current construction work: the men’s bath was fully functional and open despite of one smallish hot pool.

Great location. Staff were very friendly even with the language barrier. Onsen in the hotel is also brilliant and open all night too. Would stay again.

The bed only had one pillow which isn't a huge problem but at least two would've been nice.

Location was good, near to the Okaido shopping district with many restaurants nearby. Amenities provided were good and room was clean.

Room was a little small where I barely managed to open my 24-inch luggage. But this is to be expected for hotels in Japan.
