The location is terrific, close to tram station, restaurants, and stores yet quiet. The room was decent sized and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and the restaurant had wonderful views. Staff were professional and very helpful.

The room was a bit tired and could use a bit of deep-cleaning and refreshing as there were spots and scrapes throughout the walls and dust here and there. The window could not be opened and we felt a bit “sealed in.” This also made the room very humid with noticeable condensation on the window after a shower.

The staffs are all very friendly and helpful, especailly the mid-age gentleman that he could speak fairly fluent English. The facilities, design and decor were all exceeded my expectation. The room was pretty big and looked stylish. We ordered a day with breakfast at the reception during check in and I thInk the breakfast was quite good with reasonable choices of food, and the restaurant was clean, spacious and stylish with excellent view of the Matsuyama Castle. The location of the hotel is excellent that it is right at the centre of Matsuyama.I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I liked everything about this hotel. Clean, great location, easy to get to, view of the castle, staff that went out of their way to assist in booking restaurants, gave information on the area. Was all up a fantastic experience. Recommend to anyone travelling to this area.

If I really had to try an find something to be negative about - would have liked the view from the bath. Whilst I appreciate they have discreetly made sure their guests are safe from peeping toms, the bath was fantastic and would be incredible if there was a way to see out the windows. It was still a great bath!

We stayed 2 nights over New Year's in this really nice and modern hotel. The facilities are excellent, with a nice view from our room as well. The staff was very helpful, although they did not speak a lot of English. The onsen is open throughout the night and the breakfast was really nice, with both Japanese and Western options.

Might have been due to the New Year's peak, but there was a 1 hour waiting line at breakfast on one of the days (like elsewhere in Japan, you had to sign up, so no need to sit there all along). It must have been exceptionally long though, and they refunded us immediately when I told them we are unable to wait that long - so it was fine for us.

Perfect place. Right next to okaido shopping street, and only need to cross the street to take tram, which goes to dogo hot spring. On the highest floor, the public hot spring area has a nice city view. Also, good Japanese breakfast(plz try Japanese style breakfast. So much better than American style here) room cleaning was very nice.

It seems a bit old facility, especially unit bath was quite old. And rooms were not very good with soundproof, you might feel very intimate with your neighbors... also this building is facing with the main road, you can hear the traffic. I felt it's a bit overpriced if I think about the size and quality of the room, but if you want to enjoy everything within walking distance, this place would satisfy you enough.

Fantastic hotel. Excellent 13th floor spa (indoor baths, outdoor bath, sauna), which was clean and had long opening hours. Great location around Okaido (Central Matsuyama) - many restaurants and shops nearby, easy to get to the castle cable car (by foot) and Dogo Onsen (by tram). Good range of food and drink for breakfast in the restaurant, which had nice views of Matsuyama Castle. Very kind and helpful staff who always helped with our questions. Bed and sofa were very comfortable.

Our stay at Candeo Hotels Matsuyama Okaido was fantastic. The room was spacious and clean, with a stunning view over the city. Breakfast offered an impressive variety of both Japanese and Western dishes, all fresh and tasty. The rooftop bath with panoramic city views was a truly relaxing and memorable experience.

This is a really great hotel, period. We would gladly stay there again, it checks all of the boxes. No smoking, extra super quiet room, fabulous location just minutes walking to the Matsuyama Castle chairlift and Ropeway. Really great breakfast selection! Very comfortable beds, the clean twin room had enough space. Slightly larger compact bathroom. Very nice staff. Coin laundry is on the 13th. floor. All at a great price of $115. per night!

Only item missed was a room air filter.

Amazing facilities, across the road from both a bus stop and tram stop. Also a large shopping arcade just a few metres down the road. Many local restaurants, chemists and shops available also. Easy walk to Matsuyama Castle chair lift, and a short tram ride from Dogo Onsen and Dogo park.

Location is very central, close to most places of interest within walking distance. Staffs are great, went extra miles to ensure our stays are comfortable. Breakfast were delicious. We were even allowed to sit in and enjoy our breakfast even after breakfast time ends.
