This is my first time going to Matsuyama. I do know about Daiwa Roynet but never stayed in one. I was glad I did so as the room was big and spacious. As I arrived late at night, I did not know the surrounding areas. In the morning, when I ventured out, I was surprised it was so close to Matsuyama Castle. Room-wise, it had all the necessary amenities and big enough for me. The restaurant staff were cheerful and polite.

I think the hotel front desk staff was trying to tell me to collect the amenities kits at the counter but I didn't understand. My fault actually that I didn't clarify as well. It would be good if there is a card or message printed in the toilet informing the occupants of the existence of the amenities kits.

Nearby the shopping street and the tram station. Easy to communicate with the staff at the reception as they used a translator device. When I totally forgotten about the need to arrange for cab to the airport, the staff reminded me and helped to make the cab arrangement even advising me on the best time to go the airport(as Matsuyama airport only open at 6 am). Love the massage chair and cool feature where we could monitor our laundry status from the tv in the room.

The usual, the room is a bit too cramped for 2 pax, but this not uncommon though

The location was great, right next to Matsuyama castle and an indoor shopping street. Rooms were rather spacious for Japanese standards, there was a kettle and cups provided. You could get free teas or coffees at the lobby. The hotel was very clean and provided a nice service. If we ever go back to Matsuyama, we will be staying here again.

The only thing that was a little disappointing was the parking. On booking, it says that the hotel has a parking lot, which is true, but it is not free, so we ended up paying and additional fee of around 3600 yen for 3 nights.

Parking a bit troublesome and confusing. There was supposed to be parking on site at 1200 yen per day. Arrived at hotel at 3 p.m. and already full. Car park staff reluctant to allow us to park at open area at the car park (obviously not blocking anybody) to check in and get luggage to room. Direction to the alternate parking lot (charged more expensive, by half hourly rate before 8 pm., flat rate 800 yen 8 pm to 8 am) was confusing. Show the car park location but not the car park entrance (which would make a great difference).

Great stay! Spacious room, large bathroom with a shower cubicle, and smooth check-in. The tram to Dogo Onsen is right outside—super convenient!

Parking was 1,000 yen, which I expected, but their vertical parking was full, so I had to park outside. It’s strange that guest parking fills up. They also keep your keys, which felt unsettling, and you can't access your car after 11 PM without calling a number, which was inconvenient.

Location: it was in the middle of everything. A waslking distance from the ropeway entrance of Matsuyama Castle, and tram going to Dōgō Onsen is just a stone's throw away. Plenty of shopping mall and restaurants around to choose from Room: it was bigger than what you would expect from a hotel chain catered for Japanese businessmen. It also has separate tub and shower room, which is a rarity

Everyone working seemed cold enough. Although professional and willing to assist if you ask them to, it's rather impersonal and too mechanical by Japanese standards. Not the typical Japanese hospitality one would expect

Our room was quiet and comfortable and we made much use of the massage chair. The hotel is conveniently located and is a 10-minute ride on tram #5 from the JR station and a similar ride to the Dogo Onsen.

We requested a room with a massage chair which we made use of; however the chair took up a lot of space in what was a small room.

We liked the facilities

We had an annoying coversation about parking: The reception Clerck did not speak Englisg, so he translated every sentence from Japanese to English on the hotel's computer, and than copies it on a piece of paper and showed it to us. This was not a pleasant situation. In such a big chain hotel not to have a screen that can be shared with customers instead of copyinv every sentence by hand

Excellent location, comfortable beds, and no issues with the room size. Great bathroom, all the amenities you would need. There is a restaurant downstairs they use for the breakfast buffet etc if needed. The combini down the road a few steps away was very convenient, as well as the shotengai Okaido a hop skip and a jump away. I love Matsuyama!

I have nothing to gripe about. It was a great stay! If anything, I wish I was there longer than 4 nights!

The breakfast was perfect, serving a combination of both easter and western style cuisine, so really worked out great, as we were an international family. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the bathroom was absolutely fantastic! Incredibly clean! Staff were super friendly, and amazingly professional! Would definitely stay here again!
