It’s really old school, felt like i’m transported back to the 80s. But it’s well kept and as clean as a hotel of this age gets. Great views of lake and also fireworks (there are 3 segments, the 3rd is in front of the hotel.

The info sheet provided was not so clear about the timing of morning onsen. The typography and arrangement was confusing. So we were aware the night was till midnight but not aware the onsen closed at 9am. We were so beat from a day’s travel and decided to do a morning onsen but it was closed an hour before check out time. That felt like a waste but it was partially my fault as well.

I wanted to extend my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible experience I had at your hotel recently. The room, with its expansive glass windows overlooking Lake Toya and Nakajima Island, was simply breathtaking. The sight of seagulls by the balcony grill added a charming touch, and the moonlit view while lying down on the tatami at night was truly magical. The onsen on the upper floor, with its view of Nakajima Island, was a unique and relaxing experience. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence made my stay unforgettable.

The balcony could be made cleaner.

The best feature of this hotel is the view of Lake Toya from your room. Make sure you get a lake view room. The tatami mat room was spacious and the futon beds were comfortable. You can just step outside and be on the nice walking path around the lake shoreline. Close enough to walk to shops and restaurants in town.

The hotel is old and signs of wear are obvious, but the guest spaces were clean and functional. If you get a Japanese style room you must be comfortable sitting on the floor. There is no western style furniture in the Japanese style room.

The room had a balcony, which was super nice! View of the nightly fireworks, the volcano and lake! 🥰 We also enjoyed the excellent and varried breakfast. The onsen was also nice, not the sulfur type, but clean and acceptable. 100% good Bus also stops about 50-meters away. Summer pro tip: Walk to the Westend of the lake, through the park. There you can go swimming in the crystal clear lake! Water shoes or sandals are helpful as the low wall can be a little jagged. Note to self: Bring snorkel and mask and fishing pole next time! The fish I saw, wow wow wee wow!!

Great location by the lake, the photos shown during booking were really accurate (we saw the exact same view). Most of the staff were really considerate and helpful.

I thought the cleanliness of the room could be improved. For example, the lights. One light at the balcony seemed pretty dusty with webs, the other main light in the room could really use some cleaning too, I could see the insect corpses in it.

Good Location , near the Motomachi Bus Stop , every room have the lake view In summer season, every night have fireworks festival at the lake , it's so beautiful I like the view of lake from the room , clean and comfortable , Onsen is good and large , can deposit before check-in and after check out ,

Amazing view. Great balcony. We were on an upper floor. Fireworks on lake every evening. Firework boat moves across the lake in front of each hotel. Central location. Onsen was good. Outdoor bath was super hot.

We arrived at 11am. Despite the availability of cleaned rooms, they still would not let check is in early. We had to wait in lobby until 3pm.

1. Excellent view. Got up early in the morning and saw the changing gorgeous scenery of Lake Toya from my room. 2. Buffet food was of acceptable quantity and quality. But don't expect good meal similar to other places in Japan.

1. The facilities were a bit old, though not in broken down condition. 2. A lot of group tourists, in particular at the buffet restaurant.

Great view from our room, right over the lake from where we were able to watch the firework display in the evening. Room was clean and comfortable - no issues at all. Hotel is centrally located, within walking distance from the bus station and tourist information centre. You would need a car, bus or taxi to get out to the cable car to Mt Uzu though.

Food at the buffet was of average quality, we had enjoyed much better in other Hokkaido hotels - sorry.

Location was right on the lake near the main town area of Toyako Onsen. The lake cruise and bus terminal are within a 10 minute walk. The room was Japanese style with tatami mats and was very comfortable. I got a room facing the lake, so the view was great. It was very easy to enjoy the evening fireworks show from the comfort of your room, but know that the show starts a little bit out of view and gradually moves across the lake. The first floor has an outdoor balcony where you can sit if you like. The breakfast and dinner buffets were very good with a wide selection of offerings. The onsen bath was standard with the same water type and temperature in different formats (indoor, indoor with window view, and outdoor). The overall experience was very enjoyable.
