- staff were very very nice and accommodating, 100% best service I’ve ever experienced at a hotel after many years of travelling and staying at nice hotels. Very hospitable. - location was a bit far from the main strip with restaurants, approx 15min walk from Lawson which is a bit of a bother when it’s snowing heavily and icy. Great if you have a car though! - ski rentals located at the hotel with lockers. Very friendly staff there too and very very helpful. - free shuttles to or from the ski resorts. - onsen was amazing conveniently located in same building and very clean!
- a bit dated but that’s with most hotels in Hakuba

The staffs are very nice, especially Ojisan at the front office who was actively service guests with welcoming smile. Location is good. It is close to Snow Peak where there is a Starbucks with stunning view. The hotel room was good. All the rooms have beautiful mountain view. Facilities inside the room are the same as others, except that there is a microwave oven in the room. This saved us as all the restaurants we went were reserved and we ended up buying food from supermarket and reheated them as our dinner.
Nothing bad about the property. But we found that the rooms booked through Booking.com had no cleaning service which we didn’t notice that there was such condition at the time of booking and it was not mentioned on the hotel confirmation. We had the same problem with another hotel booked with Booking.com as well.

True to photos and description. Breakfast and dinner was really handy in winter, because there isn’t too many food options around the area without walking a far distance in the cold . The Starbucks (7 min walk at Snow Peak) was handy for mid morning /early afternoon coffee. The small izakya (4 min walk way) “Pochonotakoyaki” was an unexpected delight. Really cute as you take off your shoes to eat and really cheap to eat. The hotels facilities of luggage delivery and storage was helpful as was the ski storage and shuttle bus from the train station.

Very helpful and accomodating staff. The rooms are quite spacious for japan. They also gave us access to a full dry room for all of our snow gear at no extra cost which was secure. Access to free snow shuttle was an added bonus.
The beds were not that comfortable and it was a bit of a hike from the bus depot if thats how you arrive. Not the hotels problem, but transport, taxi’s are very hard to come by. There could have been a few more western options for breakfast.

Breakfast and Dinner was included in a large restaurant so you never had to wait to be seated no matter what time you arrived. The meals were buffet style and different each night, covering everyone's tastes and dessert was awesome too. Our room was a surprise with a little kitchen and a view that was exceptional. Lockers are provided for your snow gear at no extra charge, it was beyond our expectations.

The service was exceptional. The hotel was really nice and it felt warm and welcoming. I made advantage of the immenities including the onsen, the breakfast buffet and the laundry. They had a shuttle service taking guests to every mountain. We had a car but it would have been great if we didn't. It was a bit tight for 3 friends to share one room. I would say this accommodation is more suited to families and couples. Or two friends compared to three.
The mattresses were not the softest, nor the pillows. There is not many restaurants close by apart from one, where it is traditional Japanese and expect you to drink to have food.

Very comfortable. Great buffets. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent transfers.
A little further from the town than we’d realised - lots of walking to and from meals at night. The staff wouldn’t book or recommend restaurants other than the hotel restaurant. It’s also a bit tired. Older bathrooms and furnishings. But it’s far more affordable than other accommodation due to its location and age so this is a fair trade off.

Beautiful rooms overlooking the mountains, we had a lot of snow and the room was spacious and comfortable. Loved the breakfast and the outdoor onsen.
Nothing major! The location is a little outside of the happo one village but walkable even in the snow. We hired ski gear which was super convenient but some of the gear for my taller partner probably wasn’t quite right, more our fault than theirs we should have just taken the hassle to hire in town.

Everything went well, staff are amazing and couldnt have been more helpfull. We booked the breakfast and dinner option and were not disappointed. All staff were exceptional. Just all the little touches that one would not expect. Picked us up from the station at Hakuba and on leaving returned us on time we had requested. I only hope we are able to return again in the future. I just loved the Hotel, the area walking around Echoland, great Australian Cafe in main street had great food! Happo One was bit disappointing seemed run down and almost everything was closed. Lions Cafe on corner of Happo One entrance was excellent for coffee and food. We were there in November and were lucky enough to get snow which is what we were hoping for, what an enchanting place .Thank you all!! Suzi and Leslie
Okay one thing only we do not drink Green Tea, it would be a great idea for the hotel to have Earl Grey or English Breakfast as well in guests rooms. Yes they are available at Breakfast Buffet and Dinner Buffet. We love our tea!

Nice mountain view from the room
We need to contact a restaurant to reverse a bill as they double charge our credit card twice. Need help with the translation due to language barrier. Explained to the staff that we just need translation from Japanese to English and will not hold them responsible. But staff refused to assist as it has nothing to do with the hotel.
