Location. View (they gave me a room that allowed me to see Nagoya Castle) clearly. The work desk is fine -- as I must have virtual calls with my overseas counterparts all the time.

The work desk is fine. However, the work chair was a disappointment. In the promo photo of the site, it is a regular work chair with armrest on both sides. But in my room ,it had no armrests -- I believe they had been removed to save space. Second (which is more important to me), the comfort of the chair. I got back pain. The bottom and the back of the chair are not supportive enough to let me sit and work comfortably. How I fixed this problem was I had to put TWO pillows - one I sat on it and the other one was behind me -- so as to add the cushion support for my body.

Close to station. Restaurant was fabulous. Lovely view and excellent food. We had Tuna Carpaccio, grilled sword fish, hide beef and Tiramisu. Delicious and reasonable price for the quality. Attentive staff. At breakfast Fantastic selection of European and Japanese cuisine with salmon, eel, omelette soufflé, corn soup,salad,smoked salmon, shrimp, fresh fruit etc. public bating was interesting for a European/try it! The hotel was so clean, lots of amenities. We had a double king. Big by Japanese standards, nice espresso machine. We would find it difficult to fault this hotel or the staff.

Close to station but really hard to find. Please give better directions from the train station online and in station Look out for the Symphony Building. The hotel is on the 18th floor of this building. Happy hour was very limited in choice. But we still loved this hotel

Very conveniently located and easy to get to from the JR station. They have downloadable maps with pictures on their website. Room was abit of a squeeze (like most hotels in the city area). They give you a bottle of water per person each day but if it’s not enough for you, u can easily just hop over to the convenience store just across the hotel (there are a couple of them nearby). Lots of eateries in the area too. Fast and hassle free check in and out. Would definitely stay here again.

The smoking room was small and standing only. I like to smoke and relax after soaking in the public bath and the first time I went there wearing the slippers provided and I realised it was not recommended which meant I had to wear my own shoes to the bath each time as the smoking room was at the lobby which is on the same floor as the public bath.

The hotel is conveniently located near the central station, with a direct underground passage that makes access easy - especially useful in bad weather or extreme heat. There are plenty of food options nearby, including convenience stores. The breakfast was enjoyable, offering a good mix of both Western and Eastern dishes. The bed was comfortable, and the view from the window was truly stunning.

There are two washing machines in the hotel. Seems like they are busy most of the times, I wanted to do a laundry but didn’t manage to find a time slot.

We got the highest floor (23rd) and it has a awesome view of the Nagoya downtown view. I think this is the best ever view so far I live in a hotel. The front entrance to the hotel is so grand and you feel that you are expecting something really different from other hotel. We enjoy the breakfast and friendly staff. Not to mention you can access the hotel through the underground channel without going on the road with your luggages. So convenience!

The room size still a little bit small (20-21 meter square). I think I probably want to upgrade to a bigger room if the price difference is not much. Other than that, I don't have complain with anything else. I enjoy the stay in this hotel.

The public bath should only be closed for cleaning from 10am and not 9am. 9am is too early. For leisure travelers, one might sleep in till 8ish and will most likely missing the chance to use the public bath :( It happened to me, twice, during my 6-night stay recently. I am of the opinion that having only 2 washers / dryers seem a bit too few esp it is a 2-in-1 machine. For some reasons, my bath room (#2237) had this unpleasant smell from time to time.

We had two stays in different rooms - both very comfortable with excellent amenities. Close to Nagoya station (airport train / metros / buses). There is also an underground walkway to the station past many shops (however, easier to negotiate the street with suitcases in tow), and a large mall nearby. There are a couple of streets nearby with eateries and some night life on the weekends.

In one room there was only a chaise-longue in front of the t.v. I asked for a chair (even a foldable one), and was told there was nothing they could do. They kick you out of the breakfast room at one second past closing time. A little bit of flexibility on the part of the staff would be appreciated. The bath wasn't that great - would have preferred a gym.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Although my room had a "partial view", I was still able to see Nagoya tower as well as the castle from my window. The spa on the 18th floor was stocked with shampoo, conditioner and soap as well as a face scrub to remove makeup which was great. It was a very comfortable stay!

It was a bit confusing to find the entrance to the hotel at first as it is a part of another building. Also, in the pajama set provided, the pants were a bit too small so I couldn't wear them. I wonder if they can provide some bigger sizes for some guests!

Mitsui Garden Hotel was very chic, clean, comfortable, and at a great convenient location for a traveler like me with plans to visit many attractions and restaurants in Aichi prefecture, and appreciate a hotel “home base” I can be more fully comfortable in. Complimentary amenities at the hotel are generous. It is a very convenient location and easy walk to Nagoya Station, Meitetsu Bus Center, and many nearby places I also wanted to visit, and I was actively using subways, bus, and walking to get around near and far. Most of all, the staffs are fantastic - so friendly and helpful!!! Hotel responses to messaging or calling inquiries and request were fast and helpful. Want to shout out a Thank You again to MARUYAMA SAN for the helpful advice to my questions regarding to-do’s when arranging for pocket WiFi to ensure proper delivery to the hotel so that I would have it in time when I arrive. Everything was so smooth while staying at Mitsui Garden, and my room and bed were most comfortable to provide some of the best rest I’ve had in my hotel staying experiences. I highly recommend Mitsui Garden Hotel as a “home base” whether you are only visiting within Nagoya City or also have sightseeing plans outside of the Nagoya.

This hotel was a perfect ten for me so no concerns or dislikes. Very happy to have chose it, and will stay again on my future trip to Aichi.
