Everything was super ! Cant recommend this place enough. Spacious room, decent toilet inside the room. 5 min from Nara station. Surrounded by freat restaurants and not far from Nara Park. We enjoyed our stay sooooo much!! We'll definitely try to come back soon. We were able to leave our luggage a few hours until our train departure. Notes: no cleaning during the stay but if you ned need towels or anything just let them.know or leave everything outside your door and they'll fix it for you. Incredible helpful host ♥️ and a lot of material to plan your day in the lobby. Kitchen facility available, but also sooooo many restaurants around that we tried as much as we could.

Really there was nothing bad.

Close to Nara JR Station. It's definitely a different experience. There is a small community area on the first floor where one can meet and hang out with new people. Small kitchen is available on the first floor as well. The community area offers a wide-range of books and party-games. Friendly Staff and great location. I will definitely comeback here when I want to spend a night in Nara. Close to the Toyota Rent-a-Car Station as well.

There was only one Towel available, not the end of the world but still. Only cold water from the small sink, not optimal for washing the face. Wasn't an issue for me but the Staircase is quite narrow so walking up with big luggage can get difficult.

It's a traditional style guesthouse with tatami floors and low beds, very nice experience! Room and facilities were clean, on the ground level there is a common area with kitchen and fridge, available for guests, as well as some games. They have some leaflets about the city and tours available. Excelent, Nara is my favorite city in Japan so far!

Honestly, there are no real complaints. If anything, I'd say that it's quite funny to have a glass door separating the room from the toilet, so if you are traveling with someone, you better be comfortable doing your business in front of them (or go to the ground level common toilet)

Excellent stay, wonderful and friendly hostess, extensive collection of Naruto Manga, very affordable rental of bikes, located centrally near JR Nara line, market, and Nara Park. Accomodation is very clean, and there is amenity for large refrigerator, microwave, and lovely lounge downstairs. Highly recommend this accomodation. Would also recommend that you visit the Mt Kasuga Primeval forest while in Nara and the many wonderful temples, shrines, and museums. Nara is particularly beautiful during Sakura season

Comfortable and efficiently designed rooms. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Just the perfect place for a brief visit to Nara. And very(!) reasonable priced.

The only minor disappointment was that the guesthouse is located in a rather dull (ugly?) neighborhood of Nara. Facilities are a bit limited: no breakfast service. Then again, the guesthouse does have a small kitchen so you could arrange your own breakfast if you wanted. The Nara park is at walking distance, count on approx 20 minutes.

Easy place to stay near the train station in Nara. The host was very friendly and let us leave our bags before check in while we explored during the day. We were able to hire out a couple of bikes from the accommodation, which made it so much easier to get around Nara. All the main attractions are close by, as well as places to eat. The room was spacious enough for two people and was very clean. Lots of amenities provided and places to sit in the common areas. Thanks again for having us!

If you have inconsiderate noisy neighbours, it can be very loud, especially being woken up at 5am by them as the walls are quite thin. We could also hear them snoring during the night. This isn’t the properties fault, just to note.

Guesthouse Nara Komachi is close to Nara JR station, and not far from the deer park, especially if you use the provided bikes. There are convenience stores and an Aeon within a 10 minute walk. There are also restaurants and bars near by, though I didn't eat at any of the ones directly near the hotel. I found the room to be to my liking. The style of the room was good for breaking up the monotony of business hotels that I had been staying at. Everything was clean and more or less what you expect. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Check in was easy, and the hostess who oversaw my stay was both helpful and available. I think she was the only person working there, but this was never an issue with my stay.

Keep in mind that if you are looking to go to the Nara deer park, that the town is basically one long slope. This means you will be biking up hill to get there. I had a blast going downhill on my way back to the hotel, but its definitely something to consider if you can't exert yourself in bursts.

We received a very warm welcome when we arrived and we found them very friendly. We booked the Japanese style room and really liked it. We found it to be a good size compared to other places we had stayed and actually found the bed to be more comfortable than the Western style beds. The location was great as it was near to the JR station and also a large supermarket. We found the use of the well equipped kitchen to be a great help too Overall we enjoyed our stay and found it good value for money.

Nothing really to dislike. A minor point but the bathroom sink was extremely small making it difficult even to brush your teeth but perhaps the sinks are small in Japanese style rooms.

Lovely host. Very friendly and helpful. Allowed us to leave baggage and do an early check in, so we could explore Nara. Nara was really lovely and very relaxing. Well located for site-seeing and public transport . Easy walk to the station. Perfect for a quiet and quick stay.

It was small, but so reasonable. So a lovely stop off and worth the squeeze.

The guesthouse is located in a quiet residential area, at a walking distance from Nara JR station. The owner was very nice and friendly, the room was clean and with traditional Tatami style bed, which was very comfortable. The bathroom was small, but also very clean and fully equipped. The guesthouse offers shared spaces with kitchenette, table-games, comics and video-games. Wi-Fi and AC in the room were both working well. We appreciated that they have let us leave the luggage before check-in.

The bathroom was very small, especially the sink. The room is bright and blinds do not cover the light sufficiently in the morning.
