Nikko hotel is situated right by the side of JR Nara Railway station. There is a bus station right below, plus a huge supermarket, a pharmacy and a walking street with many eateries. Very convenient location.

I stayed at the hotel for 10 days and this could be a mistake. The breakfast has many varieties but you get the same food very morning, day 1 excellent, day 2 same, day 3 same ...... day 10 same.

Whenever I go to Nara or Kyoto, I always stay at this hotel. It is incredibly convenient, being close to the JR train station. It is close to many attractions. I am always pleased with the rooms I stay in. The staff is always extremely friendly and accommodating. As a kimono-lover, one of my favorite decorative features is the uchikake wedding kimono display that always changes whenever I come. The lounge is a welcome sight for a drink or snack to relax. There is also a spa where you can get a nice massage. The luggage keep is extremely convenient to keep heavier bags while exploring the city. It is incredibly clean and safe.

It more than met our expectations. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We barely got to enjoy the wide variety of services this hotel offered. It's a shame we only booked for two nights and had to get up very early to visit everything we had planned. The hotel has four dining options. We had dinner one night at the Japanese restaurant and, frankly, it was very good, despite the initial difficulty in selecting the dishes, which were all in Japanese. Due to our planning, we weren't able to enjoy afternoon tea at another of the hotel's restaurants, as we would have liked. We did have breakfast one day, very early, at the "Capital" bakery/café, where they make many delicious pastries and cakes daily. It was located in the same building, but one floor down.

I wanted to stay near the JR train station and this hotel was attached to it. Note there is also a Kintetsu train station in Nara which is nearby, but still a distance away. All the staff were very kind and helpful, but for me the convenience to the JR station was the star. And also the very large supermarket (Kohyo) on the ground level. There's also a small mall (Vierra) attached to the station with a large drugstore and various eateries. Public buses to the park depart from the station and are only 250 yen each way.

The room is a typical hotel room, with en suite bath and toilet. We get a family room which is a bigger room with 2 extra beds (one real bed and one sofa bed). The shared Onsen is on the 6th floor and our room happens to be on that floor, but guests on other floors must use elevator to come to the Onsen. The hotel is in the middle of Nara, so tons of restaurant within walking distance and they are very good. The Nara park is 1.7km away with shopping district along the route. And if you are joining the Nara Marathon, there are free buses departing from JR station right under the hotel.

Car park is 900yen per night. Should be free for hotel guests.

My wife and I had a lovely stay at this hotel- we even extended by a day- the bedrooms are quite large, spacious, with good Wi-Fi, the choice of breakfast is quite extensive and as my wife and I are vegetarian we were very pleased with what was available. They even have a residents lounge where every afternoon and evening they provide free wine, coffee et cetera. It is located literally right by the train station so very easy when travelling by train. It's within just a few minutes walk of the main shopping pedestrian areas

Hotel Nikko Nara is located in a fabulous, convenient location adjacent to the train station and ideal for exploring Nara by walking. We traveled throughout Japan on the JR Pass, and it was such a pleasure to be adjacent to the JR train station. It is spotlessly clean and offers a "welcome drink" in the afternoon to guests staying at the hotel, which was a very nice feature. There are also many restaurants near Hotel Nikko Nara. Breakfast was good at the hotel.

No complaints; all was excellent!

The staff in this Hotel is excellent. Very friendly and very helpful. They come forward to talk with you and make you very comfortable. The self luggage storage facility is excellent. The location is so convenient that is is just at the exit of railway station. That makes a big difference. Bus transport and rail transport is just there !! Very spacious lobby and complimentary SAKE !

Room can be a bit bigger however it is better than Japan standard hotel rooms in big cities as Osaka and Tokyo.

Conncected to JR and subway, right on the main street area, the hotel building and facilities (inc the public bath) exceeded what our family were expecting. Genuinely courteous staffs at the Reception, the Welcome Lounge, the Breakfast Buffet, and the Room Cleaning Service were all great! Felt truly well taken care of. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at your hotel in Nara. A great memory. Thankful for your hospitality and kind consideration making our stay pleasant.

Perhaps, more concrete direction from Airport Limousine/train stations to the Hotel (3rd floor Reception) on your website?

Extremely convenient location. There are bus stops basically right outside the hotel. I liked that there was a little 2 person table you could eat at together. Also had a microwave and a mini fridge! The front desk staff were very friendly and let us change rooms easily (with extra cost of course) after I accidentally booked a one bed room!

The bathroom area smelled pretty weird. The bathing room smelled kind of mildewy or even moldy. Just very musty in general. Occasionally, the toilet room would smell like pee despite there not being any in the bowl or on the seat, it was like that when I first checked the place out as well. The sink space I don’t remember anything weird about.
