Hotel location within walking distance to the train and bus station - very convenient! The hotel bathroom was great water pressure, so very convenient to station. The staff was very polite and professional and respected privacy. The hotel provided toothbrushes, bathrobes, slippers, teas and hair combs and brushes and plenty selection on vending machines.The breakfast cost 1000 yen and we left too early during the day to try it - but others said it was great! We (several delegation members) enjoyed the stay. On last day 5 deer walked the bus location, an added bonus to our stay!

Needed to be close to ice machine so they moved me to a very tiny room I think was used for staff as the rug was so dirty I had to put the bath robe down to walk around. The stool under the desk had 2 large cut out holes, probably from smoking from some prior boarder. I wiped everything down.

The place is near JR and bus station and restaurants, shopping malls. The room is clean. The breakfast is good. The staff is polite and helpful. Breakfast is 7am. Provided toiletries but you have to take near the elevator before going to your room. From JR you have to exit EAST take the walkway, go down by elevator to go down if you have luggages and just walk 5 min to the hotel.They have water kettle to boil water.In Japan the water from tap is drinkable so they dont have bottled water. They also provide sleeping clothes so no need to bring a lot of house clothes, save space of your luggage.

The hotel is ideally located near the Nara station, so trains and buses are easily accessible. Many locations of interests can be reached by foot in less or around 30 minutes (Tōdaiji, Kōfukuji, Gangōji, Nara National Museum, Nara Park). A bit further, Tōshōdaiji and Yakushiji can also be reached by foot in one hour, and other destinations like Hōryūji or Chūgūji can be reached by trains cheaply and very easily. Contrary to our expectations, the hotel was located in a calm environment and we couldn't hear trains or cars from the main road. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small, but everything was clean and worked perfectly. Finally, the breakfast was varied and also very good! (The curry, though simple, was better than the one we had in a reputable restaurant located in a well-known, busy covered street).

Great location located a short walk away from the JR Nara station, and easily walkable to the main attractions of Nara near Nara Park. The hotel and room decor feels retro, it has a unique charm that I appreciated. Staff are professional and welcoming, rooms are well-maintained and spacious for what they are. Some Japanese knowledge is recommended as English and/or Mandarin skills might be limited, I would not deem this a negative however, as staff really are doing their best to help you. Breakfast is pretty nice with good variety and choice between Asian and 'Western' styles. I would definitely book again.

The in-room phones are nicely retro but it seems like there could be some issues with call clarity from the room to the front desk. It's a really minor issue however.

Probably because it was a quiet weekday period, I got the room at a very good price, it was a real bargain. It was a nice little room with all the amenities you need and don't need, internet worked well, and there was a little city view from the window. Staff, or at least some, don't seem to speak English well but they were polite and helpful. If you plan to visit Nara not on the weekend or holidays, it's worth to check out this place.

All of it! Such a cheap price for this quality of hotel room. All amenities included, the room was clean, the bed was fresh, the shower has really good pressure and hot water, the staff is very friendly and speaks sufficient English, baggage service is available (we’ve sent one of our bags to Tokyo from here for ~15USD), it’s less than 5 minutes to the station and about 25 min walk to the deer (there‘s also a bus at the station for those who need it). We would sleep here again and actually regret we didn’t stay one more night. A similar room in Kyoto is easily double the price.

The washing machine is, compared to many others we’ve had on our travels, not the greatest.

Please put information on each table to remove trays to tray rack when finished. I wasn’t aware of this and the staff got upset with me. The bed mattress was incredibly firm. Can you put a softer top on them? Apart from these, it was a terrific place. All other staff were gracious.

The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, with a restaurant nearby. The bathtub is spacious, and the room is well-equipped with an electric kettle, fridge, and humidifier. The humidifier is especially important, as Japan's winters can be quite dry.

There wasn’t anything I disliked, but if I had to mention one thing, it would be that the building looks a bit old. However, this didn’t affect my experience at all.

I stayed 6 days and really liked the hotel. The staff were efficient and helpful. Breakfast was super delicious with a good selection, and of course the breakfast staff were very efficient. The location is excellent- about a 4 minute walk from JR Nara Station. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is conveniently located near Nara Station and there are plenty of eating places around. The staff were courteous and friendly. For me the mattress was too hard to sleep on but it might be a cultural thing.
