The host was lovely, very helpful and friendly. The room was well set up, very spacious. The bathroom was a good size and very clean. The beds were very comfortable, honestly the most comfortable we've come across in Japan so far! A few things that could improve: having some cutlery in the apartment would be very helpful. A towel rail in the bathroom as well. We did find the stairs going up to the next apartment were creaky, so you could hear when people were walking on them. Otherwise, we were very happy with our stay. Was only 12 minutes by train to get to USJ, 5 minutes walk to the train station.

Our two groups each took up 2/3 apartments in this accommodation- on the 2nd floor and 3rd floor. There is no elevator but the host was there to meet us at check in and help take the luggage up. The apartment was great, clean, comfortable with excellent amenities. It is located in a quiet residential area with convenience store, laundrette, restaurants and a fantastic supermarket in close proximity. The local train station is about a 5 minute walk and also has a taxi rank which was very convenient. Only a few stops to Universal Studios, we loved 8b Hotel as our Osaka base for the week!

The property was like a studio apartment. It was very modern and clean. We rented two rooms - the ground floor and the 1st floor. There is an entry that is open to the quiet street, which serves like a lobby. The rooms have very secure doors. The property is a few blocks walk from the train station, which is only two stops from Universal Studios. This was very convenient. The host was very welcoming and attentive. He responded to our texts immediately and gave us suggestions for places to eat or buy groceries. (There is a grocery store about 3-5 mins walk). The late checkout time of midday was very helpful for us. We could leave our bags and go out in the morning and then return to collect them and freshen up before departing Osaka. There was a TV, tiny fridge, microwave and kettle. The upstairs room had a dining table, whereas the downstairs room had a coffee table for meals. The beds were clean and very comfortable. Sleeping arrangements were spacious, although we recommend tall adults sleep on the lower level in the 1st floor room, otherwise your head will touch the roof when you sit up. (The beds in the ground floor room had enough space for adults to sit up in bed in both levels of the bunk arrangement). The kids loved the loft bed arrangement, with each bed having its own little light. There were supplies for guest like extra towels, toothbrushes, slippers, extra plates, cutlery, paper towels etc in the landing just up the stairs. There were also games for the kids. We felt like the host had really thought about making guests comfortable.

There was nothing to complain about, but if I had to comment, perhaps some more hooks or rails to hang wet towels? We didn’t mind, but in the ground floor room, some people may find eating meals at a low coffee table a bit tricky

We appreciated that the place was very clean and cozy. The beds were super comfortable. We did not expect some additional amenities like a toaster oven and microwave in the shared space. Our kids enjoyed the collection of comic books, too. The location was great for getting to Universal Studios easily and for exploring Osaka. There are some authentic restaurants with delicious food very close by that were highly recommended by our host. We loved trying the local fare!

Everything was as expected or better!

Mr. & Mrs. Yoshida, We (Anna, Winston, Nichole, Joey and myself) enjoyed our stay with you. Thank you for your hospitality and your kindness making us feel at home. Doing so many extra things for us and treating us to a very special sukiyaki dinner and another special family sashimi dinner on our last night. Fantastic location in a quiet neighborhood. Friendly host, quick to respond to messages/requests. Very close to 7/11 store and Lawson’s. 5 minute walk to train station with easy access to Osaka CBD and Universal Studios. Plenty of eating places close by. Room was well heated, and beds were comfortable (bunk bed style).

Steep stairs to climb up to apartment, may be difficult for some guests.

Excellent location for USJ, only 1 stop on the train from a station 5 min walk away. Nice having your own kitchenette and bathroom, lots of space for a group of 5 of us. Shops in walking distance and a coin laundry just round the corner. We only stayed for 2 days as a base for our USJ trip and it did exactly what we needed it to do.

The sleeping arrangement is exactly as shown in the pictures so it wasn't a surprise but you don't get much privacy in the rooms, which may put some people off.

Very close to the train line to Universal Studios—just two stops and you're there. The facilities were neat, with a TV, air-conditioning, and everything you need for a pleasant stay in Osaka. The staff were very friendly with great response times. I fully recommend this hotel.

Just a minor suggestion: it would be helpful to include some cutlery and towels to clean the kitchen area if needed.

Owner was very friendly and kind. The apartment was clean and had several amenities provided. It was a short walk from a train station as well, which made it convenient to get around Osaka. We had a group of 3 people and we were all pretty comfortable staying here!

The top bunk is a little noisy when someone needs to climb down to pee, but that's really not too bad in the grand scheme of things.

We loved the cozy little apartment, close to combini and JR station. It’s had everything we needed, it was clean and safe. The owner was also very friendly and helpful. We communicated well before our arrival. The apartment is 6 min walking from the station. There are plenty of restaurants in the area of the JR station and a supermarket. Universal Studios is just 2 stops away. We’ll definitely be back.
