Location was convenient, about 8 minutes walk from metro station. We stayed in a double adjoining room for a family of 4. Room and bathroom is small and compact, it was expected. Amenities were provided at lobby, pajamas were provided. Staff don’t all speak English but they were very helpful with translation app. The hotel helped us forwarded our luggages to our hotel in Tokyo and the entire process was smooth.

Not for you, if you are not into small rooms. Not a lot to do around the hotel area

I really love the ambiance of the facility, its awesome location, and the super nice staff. With how close, and I mean close, the hotel is to bars, clubs, restaurants and shopping, you literally can spend your entire vacation in and around the hotel without ever really seeing the rest of Osaka.

The small size of the room was a bit off-putting. Coming from America, I'm used to lots of space, although I had to remind myself that space is at a premium here in Japan.

Very easy check in and check out process. I loved the self serve stations, making the process faster. The staff were so kind and thoughtful. I loved that there was a tv channel to show when the laundry machines were in use.

It felt a little weird walking at night due to the clubs and neighboring businesses. There were guards in suits outside at night so it felt like we were going the wrong way. I ended up being allergic to the laundry detergent, which is a shame. I’ve never been allergic to any laundry detergents so I was very confused when I started to break out into hives. The machine auto dispenses detergent so be careful if you have sensitive skin.

We had two sets of connecting rooms for a group of 6 and it was nice for our size. The rooms are smaller than expected, but if everyone keeps their items tucked or stored, the room was perfect. The location was wonderful, bustling streets and fantastic food on one side, with a short walk over a river to get to the train station. The breakfast was good, you had 2 options of Western (not solely American) and Japanese. If you have a group separated by floor, the elevator is operated by key card and will only allow you to your rooms floor, so a bit of maneuvering is required to visit party members on other floors.

Being fairly close to Yodoyabashi station was very convenient, so it was easy for me to get around Osaka. There's also a Lawson very close by. The pajamas provided were quite comfortable, and luckily I didn't have much issue doing my laundry with their facilities. I found the bed to be very comfortable, and the air conditioner worked quickly to make the room comfortable after a long day out. On my last day I had trouble finding a mailbox with a slot big enough to put in my pocket wifi envelope. I went back to the hotel and asked one of the staff if she knew of one nearby. She found one near the train station on her phone, which was a lifesaver for me as I was already running a little late. Thank you so much! I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Osaka.

Location and helpful staff

Room is too small even for a petite Asian person like myself

Overall a good hotel for short stays. The room was probably too small for 2 people with 2 medium suitaces and packpacks. We literally had to move bags around to get out of the room. No closets or drawers . The futon bed was actually quite good. The size of he toilette / bathroom was very small but this is pretty much a standard everywhere in Japan. The hotel is positioned in one of the most "trendy" districts in Osaka full of clubs and reestaurants. Maybe not the best for families with young children bt for us was ok. This is where Japanese business men bring their clients to have good food and entertainement after business meetings. Food was quite good everywhere but we had a really good experience in small meat restaurant close to the hotel. Quite expensive but the meat was prime cuts and all very good.

Breakfast options were quite limited. japanese style or western style. The amount of food was just sufficient but not probably the best experience we had. Also there were ads in the elevator for the hotel reastaurant but ... it was closed and only provided breakfast service.

The staff are wonderful and a real asset to the hotel, the robot butler is very fun. The staff let me check in early, which I needed as I had travelled for 2 days to reach Japan, they are very kind and welcoming. Even if the staff don't speak English they will use a pocket translator and be very kind and so it isn't stressful at all. The room I picked was small but well equipped and had everything I needed. The location was excellent as well, being 5 minutes from the M Line subway station. I booked breakfast every day but because I am lazy I missed it most days, however on the days I did have it, it was a very good breakfast. My stay in Osaka was amazing and memorable and I hope to return for the expo next year and make The Rise my home away from home again. I planned to have dinner at the restaurant Un-Treize but didn't find time on this trip.

Honestly I don't have any criticisms of the rise, the lift facilities are a little bit insufficient but it's fine most of the time, you just have to wait a little bit during peak times. Also I would encourage westerners to maybe consider not picking the Japanese style room as the Japanese bed was very hard and I am a soft westerner, however I soon adapted to the bed.

The location and the staff were really great. The staff helped us with so many things like the transfer of our luggage from hotel to hotel and getting us a taxi when we didn't know how to get one. The location was perfect. We were in walking distance to a Family Mart, Lawson, many restaurants and from the transit station. Only a 20 minute walk to a mall and other must sees. Too many to mention.

Rooms were only good for 2 people, not sure how it would be if you had little kids traveling and everyone staying in one room. Thank goodness we got 2 joining rooms, it made our stay more comfortable. You might have to pay more for a bigger room, not sure what they have.

Clean and organised. They also are part of a luggage delivery network (teburakun) which is fantastic as I had 2 big suitcases! Namba is one train ride away, Nara is less than 90mins on the train so over all it is a great location. Free tea/coffee and there is a family mart /Lawson close by. Nearest station was Yodoyobashi with Osaka main station about 15/20min walk away.

Even if you put the do not disturb on the outside of the door house keeping still knock? Not a big thing but a little odd ! 😂
