I didn’t like the absence of staff, especially when you need advice on what to visit, how to get around, or where to eat in the city.

Very spacious and had great amenities such as washer/dryer, fridge and cooking equipment. Very worth it for the price and only a 10 minute walk from the station. Limited interaction with staff but they helped us check in, which was pretty simple with the self check in machine. To check out you just slot the cards back in. Staff are accessible at the ground floor, if you need any replacement towels etc. You have to empty your bins and take them to the front bin store, but they give you replacement bags for the bins your room.

WellStay Shinsekai is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from Shinsekai and close to many of Osaka’s main attractions. The hotel room is spacious and offered plenty of excellent amenities, including a washer, dryer, and other kitchen appliances which came really handy. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. I accidentally left behind a valuable item and they went above and beyond to ensure it was safely returned to me. I'm grateful for their kindness.

My partner and I loved our stay here! The amenities were exceptional. In the room was anything you could ask for (fridge, microwave, kettle, hot plate, bowls, kitchen dishware, washer/dryer, hair dryer, makeup mirror, etc.) The heating unit worked wonders for us visiting at the tail end of winter. We had a lovely view from our balcony on the 10th floor. There was complimentary tea and coffee from a dispenser in the lobby. Plus, everything was so so clean! We are so grateful to have found Wellstay.

The dryer function on the washer/dryer left a little to be desired but nothing besides that.

We’ve stayed in Tatami room with 2 beds so there is not much space left but it is typical size of room in Japan for budget hotel. Very convenient to have water dispenser in common area (no water bottles in the room) and washing machine/detergent in the room which we selected this hotel for daily running in Tennoji park every morning which is very nearby. Check-in was ok with the staff’s helf and check-out was easy. Bathroom was clean and functional.

The window doesn’t completely block noise from the street as it is only one layer and free coffee from the machine in common area was way too watery, almost like tea But overall stay was great so we would consider to stay here again for our next visit to Osaka if it’s still a good value.

The room was clean with nice view and have all the things you need including a washing machine, fridge, microwave, iron (need to get at the lobby) & stove. Very comfortable and the space is great; you get a small balcony, chairs with small table to relax and even a long couch overlooking the window. They also had the free flow tea and coffee at the lobby, with a vending machine. You can check in via computer there. The staff were available at certain hours only but with the efficient system, check in by computer was fast & convenient. No breakfast is available but lots of stores around the area. There are a few train stations around the hotel; the nearest is about 10 mins walk. I just love this place! Not a typical hotel with breakfast and 24 hours staff, but it’s so nice and such a value for money. I will definitely come here if I ever decided to visit Osaka again ❤️

The location was really good, a short walk to local food places, close to train stations, clean rooms, big area and fairly quiet rooms (except the ambulance you could hear most nights) the hotel was great, a little impersonal with check in via a computer, but that helps keep costs down. All in all happy with the stay!

Beds were firm, and no staff to check you in (I found that to be the norm in Japan, but it's a little impersonal)

I really like how clean and complete this place is. It has everything that we needed at an affordable rate which is rare in Japan. We had a bathtub, stove, refrigerator, and washing machine with detergent already supplied. I really love my stay here. Everything is exceptionally clean when we arrived. We stayed at a tatami room, while it was awkward at first having to put on multiple sandals for different purpose, we eventually got used to it. I also like that the balcony is accessible and you can see the weather and a glimpse of the neighborhood around the property.

The location was a bit far (10 minutes walk) from Tsutenkaku where most of the restaurants are located. We needed to buy our meals first before returning to the hotel as there isn’t any convenient store close to the hotel. But in the end we don’t mind it. The place itself is enough to provide us a comfy stay.

Very clean, the rooms is as is in the photos so you know what you are expecting. The bathrooms were bigger than I anticipated for a Japan style hotel. It is a mix between modern and Japanese style. They even supplied kitchen equipment and washing detergent. The location is PERFECT, the are is a nice a quite but a short 5 min walk to the zoo and the lively food streets! and less then 10-15 min train rides to dontonbori, team labs, Osaka castle. Would stay again for sure!

An ironing board and iron would be nice, alternatively an ironing service in the common space. other than that there was nothing I didn't like. Great place to stay in Osaka

The size of the rooms is awesome! The location near Shinsekai and several stations, the cute shrine just in a minute-walk distance - everything was great, especially for the given price! That's definitely my favourite hotel in Osaka.

The room was on the second floor, so um... with open curtains, people outside could see us. Although, it was kinda funny and not a bad thing! Btw, previously, I stayed on the upper floor, and the view was astonishing.
