Wow, this is an incredible and very cool little hostel absolutely deserving of five stars. The staff are friendly, helpful, and wonderful to speak with. The bed in the shared space was surprisingly clean, comfortable and spacious enough to relax in. Also felt very private. The hostel is reasonably social but was never too loud late at night. Bathrooms were also very clean. I felt so relaxed and at home here and loved returning after exploring all day. Also the bahn mi and coffee are fantastic! I will definitely come back next time I'm in osaka

Amazing hostel & workers ♥️ 4 people in a pretty large room for an hotel, there’s a full size mirror in the bedroom, a very nice kitchen, a washing machine (100¥ per use) and a drying machine. Great WiFi, a small locker & mirror in each bed. The location was good, close to the Tsutenkaku and 20 min’ walking from DOTONBORI and Namba the crowded & full of life areas. Close to a metro station. And there’s a rooftop! You can hang your wet close there and see the Tsutenkaku! There’s only 1 shower and 3 toilets so take that into consideration. But it was ok and I didn’t feel any pressure as there aren’t many guests. Thank you :))

The beds are well designed and comfortable. Location is quiet enough even though you’re next to a busy part of town. Still, earplugs help. The shared spaces are fabulous! The kitchen is so well stocked and you can use the spices etc. A lovely calm space for eating. The rooftop is cool! Downstairs the vibe is friendly and relaxed. I walked into the hostel many weeks ago and instantly felt good in the place. Staff are super nice! They were understanding about me having a bicycle, and caring. Guests I met were nice folk, dynamic and interesting. Cannot recommend enough if you want to meet some lovely travelers.

This hostel ended up surprising me. It's a little gem. Has a real nice feel about it. I wish I had stayed longer. Female dorm was very quiet. Only four beds in the dorm and plenty of space for baggage. Curtains around bed space and a lockable box for valuables. They also give you a lock if you don't have one. Roof top area is very nice and you can see the tower easily. Got some great shots of it lit up. Also within easy walk if eating places and stations. Was good for getting on the train line from osaka station and also to koyasan. Would highly recommend this hostel.

The staff there were super friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The place looked so cool, had a slide, and it was super fast when I slid down it 😆 For 10ppl room, it wasn't as noisy as I had expected, which was really good because I was able to get really good sleep! Earplugs and mouth tape were provided 👍 The location was good too, really close to tsutenkaku tower.

The steps to the room were a bit narrow, so a little hard to take up and down my luggage, but it wasn't too bad. The beds were a bit creaky when moving around, but the earplugs helped.

Many people told me that the people in Osaka are some of the most friendly in Japan, in this hostel I can prove that, Hiro and Rina part of the staff, were super nice and give me all the instructions in order to have a nice Osaka trip, the hostel is really well located and counts with everything you need. In the first floor there is a cool cafe-bar where always good music is being played, also you can buy your own discs and some second hand clothing, as a concept I found that really cool. The metro station is really close and in the area are a lot of cool and nice restaurants. I will stay there again If I have the chance. Just a little thing, is that some beds are really noisy because they are made of wood, but that is a minimum problem, the rooms are confortable and chill in the night. <3

The Pax hotel staff were really welcoming. I think they’re mostly students. I was worried it would be really noisy but they gave us a quiet room, and although there is a bar downstairs they are really considerate and empty the bar when it gets late. They do a really nice banh mi, which makes a great breakfast and prices are really good. Hiro welcomed us, and he was really nice showed us around. The hostel was smack in the centre of one of the best parts of Osaka, with loads of food restaurants and places to go at night. The hostel had a really nice vibe to it, and I was really sad to go, because we didn’t get enough time to see everything.

It was really great, can’t fault it. Maybe they could have cake or something else at the bar to have with coffee in the morning?

Everything! The vibe is so cute and artsy, it's safe with both the hostel and the room having lock codes. The people are so lovely and the lounging spaces are gorgeous. Location is great, right in the middle of shinsekai but I did not hear any disrupting noise! Everyone was super respectful and I had lovely chats with the staff and other guests, I loved the cafe open til 9 on the bottom floor. You can tell everyone there takes care of the place and loves it.

Very homely feel. Common area/kitchen was very well equipped. The dorm was bright and colourful, very cheerful & happy vibes. There is a table (writing, packing) and sufficient space for luggage. big plus because most dorm have separate luggage area or limited space for luggage with the bed, thus taking stuff in/out of luggage was very cumbersome

the furnishing in the common area, mostly wood, gives out a smell (not overly unpleasant). need to lug own luggage up a very narrow fleet of stairs, rather challenging for female traveller with big/heavy luggage

I loved the design and attention to details. Hiro is so nice and will make sure you feel comfortable.

Not a property-specific concern but one of the girls in my room set her alarm for 3 am and when it rang she didn’t get up so it kept beeping until 5 am. Eventually she got up, opened the blinds wide, and made as much noise as humanly possible. Given some people are simply not courteous maybe changing the room door code system to a less noisy one or doing something to soften the dorm door as it closes could be helpful to reduce noise at off hours.
