Everything was great, from the room, room size, onsen, food, lounge, and price. The room is spacious compared to many other japanese style room elsewhere and it's also very clean and comfortable. We had the half-board booking and both the dinner and breskfast were extraordinary. Both were kaiseki course meal with all kinds of food locally produced. We had more than enough food. Since we were traveling in a group of a few couples, we found the lounge area and the lounge snacks and drinks to be perfect to accommodate groups. There were honey tasting, beers, and after dinner snacks which were a perfect setting to just chill and hangout. Lastly, the hotel offer shuttle bus back to sapporo in the morning. The location is also good as it is a short walk to the Jozankei small town and to the bus stop.

There was absolutely nothing that we did not like.

Food is good, hot spring is very good, lounge has a lot of free drinks and snacks. Room is very comfy.

A little short of staff especially at reception, we don’t even have anyone helping us with luggage both arriving and departing.

The facility was beautiful. We could see the fantastic gorge from our room; even see the steam coming out of the hot springs. Indoor/outdoor springs were spacious and clean

Love the amenities and facilities. Rooms were comfortable. We loved the lounge the most and it’s where we spent the most time. Food was fantastic and of high quality.

Nothing we didn’t like, but I would have chosen more modern rooms.

The room was very warm. It isn’t winter n not allowed to open the window. Had to bring in air cooler just to cool the room. But it doesn’t cool the room entirely. We had to blow it directly towards us to sleep without perspiring the entire night. They should still have the air con running.

The fantastic great interior of our room and outdoor view, with nice staff service. Especially we met a brilliant staff Aya during dinner time, help us to manage our dinner requirements. We have a terrific and unforgettable memory at this great hotel. They also has customized vegetarian meal. If you have something don’t want to eat, probably need to tell them before arrival

The hotel pick up shuttle bus from Sapporo was cancelled on the last minute , so we had to take a taxi to get there

Beautiful property, comfortable room, free dessert in lounge room. There are also free beer and midnight meal that we didn’t try.

Kaseki breakfast and dinner has lots of food and beautiful presentation, however, appetizers not tasty and soup too salty.

Is has been eight years since we last visited the hotel. They sure did a marvelous job revamping the hotel. The look is now modern, chic and minimal in style. They now offer shuttle bus service from Sapporo JR station to the hotel and vice versa but you need to book in advance. The food is excellent, so is the hot bath springs.

There is not much I can complaint about.

Clean, nicely furnished, the honey and yoghurt buffet was excellent. Afternoon tea and supper in the lounge was a nice treat & touch for guests.

Should have more breakfast buffet choices such as breads & , and hairdryers need to be more efficient
