The hotel is conveniently located just across the street from JR Takayama Station and the Nohi bus center, making it an ideal base for traveling to nearby towns. The hotel staff were very helpful and spoke a moderate level of English, so communication was smooth. The room was clean, and the bed was reasonably comfortable. It came with only one pillow, which had a dual-sided design—one soft, one firm—which I appreciated. That said, it would have been better if an extra pillow had been provided. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to both solo travelers and families alike.

The hotel is quite a distance from the old town area, where most shops and restaurants are found. One evening, I went out around 8 p.m. and found that there were no nearby places to buy food, except for a Family Mart a short walk down the road.

Location was excellent, near to everything you need to see, with a Family Mart for wine and groceries a few doors down The hotel is very easy to find from Takamaya triangle and bus station, across the road and directly opposite, about 1 minute away. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a laundromat with 2 washer/dryer machines but you might have to queue....they could do with more machines!

As with most of Japanese hotels of this standard, the rooms were tiny and bed so small it was uncomfortable for 2 people. One side of the bed was set against the wall so difficult to get out.

Well situated next to Takayama Station, offering easy access to train and bus transit. Not hard to get around by walking from this location either, though! Room was slightly bigger than what I've come to expect from JP business hotels, and I did not have issue accessing my luggage. Checked most of the boxes- clean, quiet and comfortable room, and a helpful and friendly staff.

Admittedly, I did not check to see if the elevator went to the ground floor, but access to the 2F lobby wasn't clear. Escalator to it is narrow and could pose issues with larger luggage. In general, the facilities were a bit on the older side and a little basic.

Check in at two p.m. is great unlike my previous hotels in Japan that checked in at 3 and even at 4 p.m. Great value at a cost of 63 Euros per night including breakfast. Fantastic location opposite the railway station. Beautiful tasty Japanese breakfast. I had a wonderful time at the hotel's public bath or onsen every evening. I covered my tattoo with a sticker that was sold at the drugstore next door. Spacious modern room with a big desk and a comfortable bed.

The breakfast was amazing! The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was air conditioning that you could adjust. Just 2 minutes form takayama station and next to a drug store. 10 minutes walk from the tourist area and shopping street.

It was a little bit noisy because you could hear when someone closed their door. I am a light sleeper but I managed just fine with ear plugs.

The room was very well designed, and plenty of space for a person. Microwaves on the floors, very close to the bus terminal, and there's public bath. What I'm impressed was little things like free slippers, luggage rack, the bedhead has all the buttons to control the lights and alarm clock and even space to put my glasses.

The air con wasn't working well, but they were renovating the whole aircon system till sometime in June.

It is located right across the Takayama train station and Nohi bus terminal. Everything you need is there. The staff lent me a vacuum so that I can pack my things with the vacuum bag I was using for this trip to fit my 10 days clothes for autumn in a carry on luggage They also serve delicious meals for breakfast the Hida way (local specialty Japanese meals). Every tourist spot within Takayama is jus walking distance from this hotel. The front desk is open 24 hours which was very helpful to a traveler like me. They answer questions politely and very helpful. I’m a person who likes to talk to a person instead of just a machine so I love that there are hotel staff available 24 hours at the counter.

Nothing at all

Location opposite the main station. The hotel is very nice and clean. Has an Onsen, laundry room and resting area. On ground floor there is a convenient store/pharmacy. Next door there are restaurants. Familymart 2 min walk down the street. Bus terminal is also across the street near the station. Lots of shops and cafes near by and 10 min walk to the old towns main tourist attractions and morning markets.

location right across the train & bus station. I was worried about the ratings from previous reviews but turned out to be all good. Economy double room was spacious for one but two persons can be a bit tight. Price was excellent, considering Saturday night. Staff is excellent & communication with English

Hotel furniture & set up has aged over the years.

I like the public bath. It's fully equipped with all the necessities e.g. face cleanser, lotion, moisturizer, hair dryer, cotton.. Room wise is quite ok just that the toilet is very small. Breakfast is simple but nice. They gave my kid a free kid's meal (rice, seaweed and miso soup). Location is fantastic because it's just opposite Takayama train station. Walk 10 mins to reach Miyagawa Morning Market and Sanmachi-suji old town. Overall it's worth staying!
