The house is beautiful and very functional with all the amenities for the family. There are good amount of living space for the family, big and spacious.

If I really have to pick, then it would have to be the pillows. Futons are great with the comfy comforters, but the pillow are either too soft and flat with no support or stiff and roundish (the heads tend to roll off the pillow to the side) and then we end up waking up with stiff necks and shoulders no matter what pillows we use.

We were blown away by the size and the beautifully decorated home. It felt like going back in time! My group especially enjoyed the wooden bathtub, and the kitchen was modern and easy to use.

The only problem we had was that the futons are pretty uncomfortable. We found extra futons in the closet and doubled up, which helped a ton. Just good to know if you have any kind of back/sleeping issues!

Located close to Takayama station and a well -equipped nostalgic, cosy and traditional japanese house with tatami bed. Best of all, able to accomodate 2 family of 5 adults and 6 children is really wonderful. Love the kitchen and we're able to cook many nice dishes like Pork Gyūdon, Hida beef steak and many nice dishes for the kids.Nice experience and all of us really love it!

Sad that Takayama stay is too short for us and will be best to schedule for at least a five days. For the house, we have nothing much to complaint but just a small issue on the Ground floor toilet bidet is not working.

Very large space for our family and kids to relax at in the evenings after spending the day out and about in Takayama. Great location right in town that was quite convenient. We had a small mix up on the reservation that was made via Booking.com but the host met us as soon as we called to resolve the issue and to get an extra futon out for us.

It was a short walk to where we needed to park our cars, not far but ideally on site parking would have made things a little easier with the number of people and luggage we had.

One of the most beautiful houses we have ever stayed in Japan. Every room is beautifully organized and well maintained. This place has become the dream house of us to live in the future not for a day but forever ❤️

There is no such thing we disliked about the stay except since it's just in front of the main road we started to hear vehicle sounds early in the morning. Since it's one night it was manageable.

Very traditional Japanese house and spacious. Kids love it! When we face some issues the staff always help and response very fast! We could also store our luggage in another branch of K’s house so we could still enjoy the day without carrying luggage around, after checking out.

The futon is a bit hard. But there are extra Futon on the shelf which we can also use for double layer

I love everything about the property. it’s a super beautiful house that’s really spacious and well designed and maintained. location is very convenient to the train station. kitchen is well equipped for us to cook. bedding was comfortable. I love the design of the bathroom, washing basin, and toilet as it lets the big group of us use the facilities concurrently while maintaining our privacies. we don’t have to queue when we need to use toilet or bathroom. the best accommodation I have in Japan.

The property is truly exceptional. Spacious, well appointed, well heated, with good maintenance and good location. I strongly recommend it as a top option for families (especially larger ones) in Takayama.

Some minor maintenance stuff. Smallish garbage bins (and you have to leave the bags in a small side corridor outside. Nothing important.

Beautiful house in a great walkable location. This house exceeded our expectations-- well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, nice bathtub, peaceful garden, and lots of space. The tatami mats and sliding screens are in excellent condition. The guest was a good communicator. It was a real pleasure to stay here!

Sometimes there were noisy pedestrians out front, but they didn't bother us too much.

Property was absolutely stunning and perfect for the price!

Futons could have been a bit more comfortable but I assume we are just not used to it. The previous place we stayed with tatami style sleeping had double layers to make it a bit softer on the body.
