The hotel had onsen with public baths. It was quite neat and clean. Excellent location near Jr station or bus station and a short 5-10 min walk across the river to the old takayama town with tourist things. The bathroom was small (but neat and clean) but we anyways instead used onsen to take bath. The breakfast was just decent and didn't live up to the good reviews we read on booking.com. Just outside the hotel, there is a small cafe run by an old Japanese lady. We loved our coffee and deserts there. Would recommend it if you crave good coffee after the breakfast buffet (it has machine coffee).

Breakfast was just decent. But it was included in the reasonable price we paid, so can't complain much.

The room was tiny for 3 people, but we only stayed 1 night so it was ok. With more nights and more luggage (we only had medium-sized backpacks) it would have been tricky to move around. I loved the common area of the hotel and the breakfast was great: typical Japanese. It was not super touristy, we were the only Europeans staying at that time, I think. The staff was helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed the window view, though narrow. The location is great, quiet, off the main road, but 5 minutes away from the station.

The bathroom was like a plastic capsule in the corner of the room. It was quite difficult to get in and out since it was elevated. It was also quite small, 2 people would not really fit in. We were staying as 3, but the top bunk bed was not made and we had to make it ourselves, which I found unusual.

Perfect location close to the station and to the historic district of Takayama. We highly appreciated the indoor onsen for relaxing after all the walking, and the free breakfast in the morning.

The bed was not particularly comfortable and my back suffered a bit (despite the great selection of pillows at the entrance). The room was quite small for two people (luckily we only had backpacks, otherwise it would've been a problem) and I really had problems with the toilet l, I'm quite tall and massive and I was barely fitting.

The location is very good near takayama station and nohi bus terminal within 5mins easy to find. you can choose your own pillow and amenity self choice in 1F near lift. the breakfast and the drink bar was delicious and healthy. near convenience store seven eleven or family mart

actually the room is small just fit for backpackers and businessmen. but they are comfortable. the hot springs are always full

nice hotel. onsen was small but nice. breakfast pretty good. rooms, small but not unusual for japan. guests could choose their own pillow type. One block from the most amazing bento takeaway shop!

Onsen was small and time available divided by gender (this is not unusual tho).

This is a family owned hotel The staff is very nice and management helped us book restaurants ahead of time which none of the other upscale hotels in Kyoto Hiroshima or else were willing to do Highly recommend the place for quality of service even if the rooms are smaller than usual but so well organized that we could fit in with our 3 suitcases

Clean inside and charming. Friendly and helpful staff. Pillow selection for hire at side of elevator. Breakfast pretty good if you know what you are doing. Bedroom pillows are heaven. I would definitely stay again.

Room was real tiny, found it difficult to get to the bed. The toilet area was real small and difficult to get into. The hot spring was small, but done well.

Small but amazing hotel in the heart of Takayama. The hotel is located a few minutes walk from the railway station and the downtown. The check-in was fast and easy, the staff explained in detail all facilities and services offered by the hotel. The room was tiny but comfortable, very clean. The breakfast was simply amazing, with many different dishes and drinks to choose from. Last but not least I really enjoyed the hotel hotel springs at the ground floor.

the location was great. 10 mins walk from the train station. easy to find. 10 mins walk from the morning markets and sanmachi suji. lots of eateries within 10 mins walking distance. breakfast was lovely, wide selection, spoilt for choice. onsen, though small but fully equipped. it was a treat. will come back to stay again.

Staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful. Lovely clean onsen with toiletries. Cold water offered on arrival. Breakfast good. Great location for station.

Room for 3 (double + loft bed) was very small - barely room for suitcases, but didn't spend much time there so OK
