Very confortable hotel with good size rooms, welcoming and helpful staff. Shuttle between hotel and Takayama was very convenient. We appreciated the complimentary drink and ramen.

The location was in a very scenic area above the town, we had a stream just under our window. There was also a Familymart just across the road. The hotel had a welcome location just across from the station where regular shuttles would bring or take guests. It was a relief to wait their and have some water while away from the heat. They also offered a welcome drink, we also had a very good breakfast and tried the free evening ice cream. We did not try the ramen as we ate in town both evenings. The yukata and sleeping apparel where very comfortable and also pretty in the case of the yukata. The amenities were very good quality.

As there was no restaurant we took the shuttle down to town to have dinner each night and had to take a taxi up. On the plus side restaurants at Takayama will call the taxi so that diners can be taken up to the hotel. We did not use the onsen but this was because some of the party were not comfortable doing so.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I liked the free icecream in the evening and the shuttle bus option. I didn’t use the onset but appreciate its availability. My room was clean and the bed comfortable.

Space was a little bit limited, I couldn’t really open my suitcase in the room (but the room size is pretty standard for Japan). No shuttle bus between 10:30 and 15:00. What bothered me the most was that the AC/エアコン had a moldy/wet smell so I couldn’t use it.

The breakfast has a variety of choices. Snacks are served at 8 pm nightly . Staff are very friendly and helpful, typical of Japanese. The location is perfect if you drive , an hour or more to shirakawago, shinhotaka ropeway. You start off early, these places will not be too crowded . Lots of parking lots at the property . Opposite is the Family Mart. If you are short of cash , there is an ATM machine opposite too. A quiet location . Yukata is provided for rental for use. The bath towel is a little too thin. Finally , free shuttle bus is provided to go to and fro the property to town centre . This place is a good place to explore everywhere in takayama town since shuttle bus is provided .

The location was 3km from the railway station and 2km from the old town. Sidewalks from there were at places nearly non-existant - but it was most nice and scenic transit, several tasteful temples fringed hills on the way. And a shuttle bus was available, on hourly basis, as I later discovered. And this happened to be the place of my first onsen, after two weeks in Japan. Small but comfy rooms. Soundproof, absolutely no noise. A mart across the street.

80 euros for a really small room... perhaps value was not 100% there, but then again, this was Takayama and semi-high season, and connsidering the upsides, I'd recommend this place.

We wanted a hotel with parking and allowing a quick get away into the mountains. This was perfect. They provide shuttle buses, cheap parking in town and a really efficient breakfast process. Only 1 night but we loved it. Didn't have time to use the baths. Staff were super helpful when we realised the down pillows were triggering my wife's asthma. They do have non allergenic so ensure you ask for them. Thanks for a super visit

No restaurant but A Family Mart over the road and microwave etc in the hotel. It was chucking it down so going into town wasn't really an option

Great place to relax, on the outskirts of town, surrounded by mountains, little stream and shrines nearby, convenience store right in front of the hotel. Staff is kind and humble. Room is clean, comfortable, size is okay. Hotel has a charming atmosphere, they even have a spa. Breakfast has great selection with local specialties. Charter bus runs between the hotel and Takayama station numerous times each day.

The location was great. we had a car and were able to drive into town some times but took advantage of the shuttle very often. The onsen was very nice. Free drink and snack late at night hit the spot several times. Breakfast buffet was offered and we took advantage of it one morning. It was very good and had a variety of foods. The remainder of the time, we found small coffee shops in Takayama before starting our day.

The size of the room was a little confining but the listing was very clear about the size. It just didn't register with me. It was a very nice and cozy room and was at very good rate.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful hotel with a very Japanese feel to it. Lovely little displays around of flowers and tea cups etc. Comfortable room with a view of the river. Good shuttle service between the hotel and the station. Had free beer when we arrived then a lovely ramen supper. Breakfast was delicious - lots of lovely Japanese dishes to choose from.

They didn't have a room available for a second night!

Although the room was small it was perfectly big enough for us. I am disabled and bring my own chair to sleep in . The chair fitted into the room well and the staff were more than happy to divide the extra pillows I needed to sleep comfortably.

My husband slept in the bed and found it to be very hard and had difficulty sleeping. Our daughter who lives in Japan explained that the Japanese seem to prefer a much harder bed than us westerners do.
