A well thought through hotel. Rooms are small, as expected in Tokyo generally, but space was designed very cleverly and has everything required. The window looked out onto a wall but at least it could open and let in air. Service was average. I made a last minute reservation and I could tell there was an issue with rooms. I booked a non smoking and they gave me a smoking room without informing me. I went back to reception and said I wouldn’t take the smoking room and I was given a non smoking room. It was very unprofessional to try and get away with this due to capacity I presumed. I didn’t appreciate this at all and even though the hotel was good, the initial experience dimmed my experience. I arrived at breakfast at 9.20 to be told several times that I had to take my food by 9.30 as they were cleaning up (breakfast finishes at 10). Also, as a vegetarian options everywhere are incredibly limited and APA was no exception to this.

The location was conveniently located near a station that went to all the major places. Even Disney Resort. Decently lit. Cafes and diner nearby. Convenient stores. Staff were very helpful. Small but decent eating space. It's too small to be considered a restaurant!

The room was VERY SMALL, and it would have been impossible to walk in the room had it not been for the baggage storage space under the bed. Small double sized bed. Cramped bath/toilet. Ideally, it's great for a single traveller. Definitely not for two or more. Impossible to move around the room without knocking into something. Only English channel on TV - BBC.

Modern and clean room with a comfortable bed and good shower pressure. I was expecting the room to be smaller after all the negative reviews - but although it is not enormous a lot of effort has been made to make good use of the available space and there is plenty of room for suitcases under the bed and a storage box to use as a drawer, which was more than we needed. (However this arrangement would be difficult for someone with limited mobility who could not kneel down on the floor). There is a water dispenser near the microwave in the lobby to refill the bottles that are provided on the first day.

Very clean, excellent location right on the metro entrance, made getting around extremely easy. Easy walk to JR station. Rooms are tiny but you get that in Tokyo, we weren't there except for sleeping anyway. The hotel staff were fantastic. I had a sick child at midnight and they arranged new bedding straight away in such a dignified way. We had 2 rooms next to each other, family of 4 with kids under 6. The laundry facilities were satisfactory for the price, and you can check if they are available from the screen in the room. At least 4 combinis available within 5 mins walk.

It was often too hot! The heating is turned right up, nice when you are coming in from the cool outside but otherwise a bit much.

I like the location of this hotel because the area felt safe and quiet. It is only a few minutes walk from several subway lines and it is conveniently located next to 711s and other shops. The staff were friendly and tried to help answer our questions as much as possible. For the price, I think the amenities are fair and they had easy diy laundary which came in handy for our 5 night stay.

The location was good for my needs but because Hatchobori is more of a commerce area, the people there were not as friendly outside of the hotel. Some staff in the nearby 711s were rude and impatient towards tourists. The location is centrally located to many stations but it is impossible to walk anywhere of relevance and most touristy places within the tokyo area.

Hotel was very reasonably priced and easy to get to and from the Metro on two different lines one of which was only one stop from Tokyo station although the hotel is only a 20 minute walk to the station as well. The rooms had everything we needed in a VERY small space. (however, there is space under the bed for suitcases and there is sufficient space to open the suitcase. The shower had strong pressure and how water and the toilet worked well. There were USB outlets and the large TV had all the information we needed including WiFi password. The Laundry room had two washer dryers that we used and worked well.

The WIFI when working was fast but would occasionally drop and prevent re connection for 10 to 15 minutes. We asked for assistance from the Front Desk and they reset it. However, it still had a few dropouts even after that. The restaurant for breakfast is small and the 5 of us could not sit at a single table. The variety of food is not vast (although what they do serve is very good). The only egg option is the traditional Japanese egg 'omelette' the fried chicken was very good. Overall there is a Denny's just around the corner and if staying more than one morning I believe you'd have more choices and space there. If going back I would not get breakfast included.

The staff were exceptionally professional, helpful, friendly and very patient. It took me a while to figure out the train system so I was asking the same questions repeatedly. My room was very clean and just right for 1 person accommodation Japan standard. My bed and sheets were sleep friendly. The proximity to a train station Hachobori is a big plus. Love having a robe and a tea kettle in the room. The breakfast was lovely.

Not so much that I didn't like. I noticed the overpowering smell of air freshener as you walk in the hotel. Clean smell is good but just a bit much. Either way I would come back or book an APA Hotel again.

It is very close to the metro station, and multiple konbini and restaurants/ cafes are nearby. It's a little pricey, but it's a cheaper option compared to other places around. The location was quiet but not in a remote area. I had a good night's rest there.

There is another APA branch nearby, and I mistakenly went to that one first, so pay close attention to the address. There isn't much floor space. However, there is a space under the bed for your luggage. I did not have to use it, but I imagine it will be cumbersome for those with large suitcases who have to drag it in and out each time they need it.

As with all APA hotels (this is my 3rd one), they have a simple formula -- friendly, efficient staff, good location, and clean rooms that have everything you need. This one has the bonus of being right by Hachobori metro station, and is also just a 10 minute walk from Tokyo station. The unit-bathroom was a bit larger than a usual economy hotel, which was nice. They also have some super convenient laundry machines that are one-touch-does-all just off the lobby. Really helped since I was there for quite a long while. And although there's not much entertainment in the immediate area, there are some family restaurants a minute or two walk away, plus a Tori Kizoku nearby (grilled chicken...really good food there). There's also a Saizeriya right near by, which is my fave family restaurant.

This isn't exactly a complaint, since all budget hotels are super compact. But for a longer stay -- 2 weeks for me -- it was a bit of a challenge, since there aren't any kind of drawers. So you really are living out of your suitcase.

The location is great, 15 min on foot to Ginza, metro station is right below the hotel. Small double room was ok for 1 person, but if i were traveling with someone, it would be difficult to store clothes, as the space is tiny and there's no closet.

I stayed for 10 nights and by the end of my stay I had troubles eating the same Japanese breakfast. It is the same every day, no European options, and the selection is super limited. Search for photos here or on maps before you decide on breakfasts.
