I stayed at Hotel Resol Akihabara and had a great experience. The room is about the standard size for an economy hotel in Tokyo, compact but very clean and well-maintained. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the room had a window facing outside, which was nice. It was equipped with all the basics you might need, including a bathtub, fridge, hair dryer, electric kettle, and TV (note: no Netflix). On the second floor, the reception area has a wide selection of toiletries and daily essentials that guests can take freely. Housekeeping is provided every three to four days, but every day guests can leave used towels and trash bins outside their door before heading out. Upon returning, you will find a fresh set of towels, bath towels, a bath mat, and two bottles of water hanging on your door handle. The daily bottled water was especially appreciated during Tokyo’s hot summer. The front desk staff speak English, and every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, with multiple train lines nearby, and it is only a five-minute walk to the bustling Akihabara area. Despite being so close to the action, the hotel is tucked away on a quiet side street, so you can enjoy a peaceful night’s rest while still having full access to shops, restaurants, and convenience stores just a short walk away. I would happily stay here again.
Nothing.

Delicious buffet-style breakfast, plenty of choices for it too. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the river, that you can enjoy anytime you have a meal there. The towels and bottled water was replaced everyday in your room if you wanted it to be. The room was not the biggest for two people, but for Tokyo, it was luxurious for the price. The bed was comfortable, the facilities great. They offered toiletries for free in the reception, including face washes, combs, sponges, but ask that people be mindful of how much they take, so that this hotel can be as eco-friendly as possible- loved that! The receptionists were lovely, helped me send luggage to somewhere else in Japan, and were always happy to help, even in my broken Japanese mixed with English.
My only qualm with the room was that there was no storage space for our big suitcases, so they had to be out all week we were there.

The hotel had a great location, less than five minutes walk into the centre of Akihabara and the station. All the staff were incredibly friendly. The hotel is compact, but very warm and cosy. The rooms are small but the layout makes it manageable (we had one big/one medium suitcase and it was tight). The water pressure in the shower is amazing! Small touches like pajamas, quality toiletries and free bath bombs were really appreciated. The ability to have a bath after long days of walking was great. Breakfast at the hotel was good too. We slept so well as the hotel is very well insulated- you could barely hear other guests. Location in Akihabara is perfect, a quick train trip to Tokyo station and 25 to Shibuya etc. Lots of good restaurants around too. Just book it, you won't regret it

The hotel is in a good neighbourhood conveniently located next to Akihabara station which has links to all the main metro / train networks. There are alsoa couple of smaller metro stations within walking distance that we also used. As with most Tokyo hotels the room was small but very clean and well appointed to make the stay as comfortable as possible. There was a kettle in the room so you could make drinks and a small fridge to store food if needed. The bed was very comfrotable and the bathroom also very clean. The lobby at the hotel was small but there were complimentary hot drinks available and a small seating area. We were allowed to store our luggage which was very helpful. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
It was a as expected and I don't think there was anything that could have been better as they have thought of pretty much everything given the limited space available.

The location is excellent (2mns to Hibiya metro, 5mns to Akihabara station, 10mns to Marunouchi and Ginza metro line). We really liked the style of the hotel and the view on the river from the rooms l. Amenities are excellent!!! Definitely no need to bring anything from home :) The cute owl robot in the lobby entertained our girls while waiting for the whole family to get ready.
The rooms are very small, like other hotels in Japan for this price, but because of the way they are set up they feel very tight. Also, there should be the option for more light in the bedroom. Also, it would be great to have laundry washing machines on-site.

The rooms are well organized, clean and of high quality with a very nice and beautiful location, close to the heart of Akihabara. It was very convenient with all public transportation within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful.
There are no laundry possibilities within the hotel. There is a coin laundry a few streets away, but if you don't want to machine dry your clothes, there's no possibility to air dry in your room as there's not enough space for it. The staff was very helpful and offered a pick-up and return option. It's quite expensive though and the same issue stands with machine drying. It's far from a deal breaker, but something one might need to consider. The central location can compensate for this issue.

I spent a lot of time researching where to stay in Tokyo before landing on Hotel Resol and I’m happy with the choice. Tokyo is such a large city and the key sights are spread widely so the key thing is to have good transport access, which this hotel gives you. It’s in a quiet area, but there are a number of good places to eat nearby. The location allows for walking to a number of the nicest areas of Tokyo, including the Imperial Palace, Ueno park etc, with easy access further afield via subway. The room itself was good. There was adequate space for two of us with two large cases for a long trip.
It would be great to have TVs with access to streaming services, such as Netflix, but we had no real complaints.

A very nice location in a quiet street just in a couple of hundreds meters from the central gate of Akihabara train station. There is a shortcut way between the buildings in front of the gate leading onto a little bridge over Kanda river and you have just to turn left after the bridge, go a little distance on the left side of the street until you see a logo of the hotel. The door has no handles and opens automatically, just go closer to it. I was very pleased with my stay in this hotel, it became a kind of my home base during my stay in Japan. Connections from Akihabara stations are great, you can easily go anywhere from there. If you are vegan like me you can walk or take train from Akihabara to the next Ueno station where inside of the station you will find an awesome Tan-Tan vegan restaurant of Japanese cousin. I can only recommend this hotel!

I really impressed by their front desk of the way they greeted me during check-in, it feel like homecoming. They're so attentive in guiding me through the information I need to know. For the class of service they served is more than 5 stars hotel hospitality. Location wise - perfect! Just a walking distance from the Akihabara main street, and it's really quiet at night, very relaxing place to stay.
The room is smaller than expected which comparing to the photo shown in their website. However, it's not a big deal - it's very common in Japan, especially in big city like Tokyo. It's small, but compact - with all the essential things I need which is perfect enough.

The location was absolutely brilliant for the train and metro and also good for walking to locations such as Asakusa , Ueno - if you like walking it's great!! We also loved the naughty little robot owl/dog 🥰 The room was so quiet even though. we were so close to the station - very relaxing. Also REALLY loved the face wash - i brought 2 sachets home with me!
Everything was great but it would have been great to be able to have real milk for the coffee rather than whitener. I bought milk from the combining and threw away all the whitener sachets which was a waste
